The Weekly Watch
Anniversary Edition
This is the 200th issue of the WW. We've covered lots of ground in the last four years...traveled around the world a bit, worked in the garden and on the farm, maximized our health with good diet and life style, learned to avoid COVID-19, studied environmentally sound structures and alternative energy options, but the purpose and origin of this column has been to ferret out the weeks news and try to make some sense out of what has happened each week. In creating this series, I've found all news is bias by its nature. Which stories you cover, the sources you cite, the way the stories are integrated all reflect the compiler's perspective. I hope you've found some useful information in these pieces over the years. I know most weeks are a fire hose flow of links, but the WW is meant to be a menu of stories to select from...like a Sunday newspaper. That's one reason I usually try to include a comic or two. As a kid that was my favorite part of the paper. So join in as we ramble through this week's news and views.
Censorship has many guises
One of the big stories of the week was the suppression of Hunter Biden's emails. I'm not sure this is any different than the way they ignored the content of the $hill and Podesta emails. All they could do is distract by focusing on Russia and Wikileaks as the source. (While ignoring the Seth Rich story, which is getting some notice because of a recent ruling). None the less this story about censorship seems to have created a stir. Anyone who ever thought Facebook and Twitter were about communication and conversation are mistaken...they are about the CONTROL of communication and conversation with TPTB, CIA, etc. holding the levers.

In 2016 Ukrainian Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin, in his investigation of corruption involving Burisma Holdings, a natural gas company, identified Hunter Biden as the recipient of over $3,000,000 from the company.
Not wanting this corruption exposed, Joe Biden swung into action, using US loan guarantees as hostage while demanding Skokin be fired.
Amazingly, Joe Biden now brags about his actions in this matter.

All the sources covering this story with outrage while ignoring Julian's plight reveal the hypocrisy.

Fidel Narváez was in the court in London for the majority of the hearings and offers this comprehensive summary.
1) The accusation is for a “political crime,” which is not subject to extradition. Publishing classified, and truthful, information is not a crime.
2) There was never a reckless disclosure of names. No one has been hurt due to WikiLeaks publications.
3) WikiLeaks’ publications are truthful information that is historically relevant.
4) WikiLeaks was not the first to publish the diplomatic cables without redaction, but only Julian Assange is being persecuted.
5) Assange never helped Chelsea Manning access national security information.
6) Assange would not have a fair trial in the U.S. ‘Spy Court.’
7) Assange would face inhumane conditions in the U.S.
8) Assange faces a high risk of suicide in the U.S.
9) Assange and his lawyers were illegally spied on by the U.S., which makes a fair trial impossible.
10) Ecuador illegally gave the U.S. confidential materials about Assange, including documents about his legal defense.

Dr. David Brownstein has successfully treated more than a hundred patients with Covid 19, without a single fatality. When he published interviews with patients and results of their treatment on his own website, however, he received a letter from the Federal Trade Commission telling him he was violating the law. The FTC wrote: “It is unlawful under the FTC Act, 15 U.S.C Sec. 41 et seq. to advertise that a product or service can prevent, treat, or cure human disease unless you possess competent and reliable scientific evidence, including, when appropriate, well-controlled human clinical studies, substantiating that the claims are true at the time they are made. For COVID-19, no such study is currently known to exist for the products or services identified above. Thus, any Coronavirus-related prevention or treatment claims regarding such products or services are not supported by competent and reliable scientific evidence. You must immediately cease making all such claims.”
Dr. Brownstein is a Board-Certified family physician with decades of experience working with patients who have heard "there's nothing we can do for you." He is the Medical Director of the Center for Holistic Medicine in West Bloomfield, MI. According to his website, "Dr. Brownstein has lectured internationally to physicians and others about his success in using natural hormones and nutritional therapies in his practice. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan and Wayne State University School of Medicine. Dr. Brownstein is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American College for the Advancement in Medicine."
Here's the treatments he used and outcomes of his 100+ patients
Interventions:Oral Vitamins A, C, D, and iodine were given to 107 subjects (99%). Intravenous solutions of hydrogen peroxide and Vitamin C were given to 32 (30%) and 37 (35%) subjects. Thirty-seven (35%) of the cohort was treated with intramuscular ozone. A dilute, nebulized hydrogen peroxide/saline mixture, with Lugol’s iodine, was used by 91(85%).
Main Outcome Measures: History and physical exam were reviewed for COVID-19 symptoms including cough, fever, shortness of breath, and gastrointestinal complaints. Laboratory reports were examined for SARS-CoV-2
Results: Symptomatic improvement after treatment was reported for each patient consisting of first improvement, mostly better, and completely better. Of the 102 patients only one required hospitalization after beginning treatment. There were no deaths.

Across Los Angeles, Fresno, and Orange County, fake ballot boxes were distributed and almost indistinguishable from the official drop-off sites maintained by the state. But only after being bombarded with countless questions from reporters did the California Republican Party admit to placing more those 50 “official” drop boxes for mail-in ballots over the weekend. As a result, state officials have called this an illegal act that could lead to voter fraud.

Evidently they have registered lots of new republican voters. I don't know what we'll see on Nov. 3, but I'm expecting chaos. I hope I'm wrong.

The array of problems
In this episode of the Keiser Report, Max and Stacy note that the World Health Organization’s special envoy on Covid-19 now says that lockdowns are a bad idea and that the organization is expecting a doubling of poverty and child malnutrition due to lockdowns. At least now that an official body has said this, ordinary people are allowed to debate the issue on social media.

It's not censorship as long as one can easily find and read whatever some sector of TPTB doesn't want others to see. Those that rely on being spoonfed news/views by social media postings are lazy and thoughtless. OTOH, the Facebook/Twitter suppression of the NY Post article may have increased the number of views of the article.
btw -- Vietnam has done a excellent job in containing the SARS-CoV2 using standard public health measures, but in June or July began experiencing some deaths which now stands at 35. Very good in a country with almost ninety-eight million people.

I didn't realize the clip was that old. Max mentions in his show that the Vietnamese suffer the least obesity of any country. He interviews a fellow in Thailand which has done well. Not to mention Taiwan which handled probably better than any country..
All these countries had a dry run with SARS-Cov-1.
I was thinking suppression is a way to censor info.

Thanks for a great ww. Much to digest. So, iodine. The Japanese gargle with it apparently. There are a couple of studies on gargling. One you posted. I’ve been trying to figure out what kind of iodine to use. I think the Japanese use Betadine. Have any info in this?

the iodine I keep on hand is
Lugol’s iodine
which should be available at your local pharmacy. That's what the Dr. above used to make what sounds like a nasal spray.
As a mouthwash they tend to use Povidone-Iodine

I use iodine tincture (2%) dissolved in water for both a gargle and nasal spray at a .5% solution.
Effective against bacteria and virus. Apparently Betadine (Povidone-Iodine) is more stable in an aqueous solution. 9.5 ml H2O : .5 ml PVP-I @ 10% = .5% solution. Also used by the Brits in dental procedures for both the patient and clinician.

Way before the covid
iodized salt dissolved in water was my go to for a general gargle. Roughly the same concentration as sea water -- 1 TBS salt to 2 cups water. Works also as a nasal spray.

thanks I've been wanting to say that out loud for a while now... some other essay talked about gargling in the comments, maybe last week's Watch? Time does not exist.
I was gargling with salt water on the regular before pandemic too. I've been doing it all my life so thought the idea came from my dad, who did it in the WW2 Navy. It was helping me since the bigly smoke days started up a few years ago too. Good stuff. Also, my mantra during flu season was "don't touch your face" over and over. Now year 'round. I wash my hands a lot too, thank goodness for dirt.
Another mouth wash was recommended to me when my tooth got funky was Sage infusion made with 1 TBSP dried herb per 8 ounces boiling water. Steep for half an hour. Don't drink it, spit it out. I guess it has good anti-bacterial properties too, that and the garlic caps I took whew! Thanks. My neighbor buys the sage online somewhere, she can't grow everything. Yet. heh

The addition of iodine...
...I only learned about recently. Simple prevention never mentioned. I've got tons of sage. PM me if you would like me to mail you some.
Yellow root grows along the stream banks all around. Time to dig some for winter use. I make a tea to drink anytime I start to get a sore throat (as well as salt water gargle...to which I will now add some iodine).
I'm lucky to not take any prescription medicine, but I take lots of things. 2 Tsp apple cider vinegar AM and PM which I dilute with water and flavor with lemon juice. I make a magnesium drink - 30 mL milk of magnesia to 2L seltzer water (to make readily absorbable magnesium bicarbonate.) drink 6 oz daily. Then there's Vit D. That's the extent of my medicines.

Lin found her inspiration in the words “until justice rolls down like waters and righteousness like a mighty stream,” a paraphrase from the Book of Amos that Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. used in his “I Have a Dream” speech and at the start of the Montgomery bus boycott.

I wasn't aware of the judges order regarding Seth Richards' parents' lawsuit, but I love it. It is, of course, a judicially assisted karmic variant of the Streisand effect. Sadly, it does put Assange in a bind. He correctly refuses to name his sources, though arguably it would be perhaps proper in this instance. One wonders how the so-called security/intel agencies will try to quash this, and, of course, the Dems. One must hope that they do not kill him.

Wow did not realize I have read 200 Weekly Watches.
Covid sure has pulled back the curtain on Medical censorship and exposed the ongoing practices developed to control medical professionals and information. The current level of censorship is similar the cancer in the 60's and 70's and herb prior to the 1994 Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act. Not seen criminal prosecutions yet, only reputations destroyed and economic consequences for those on the wrong side of the official point of view at this moment.
Still yourself, deep water can absorb many disturbances with minimal reaction.

COVID has exposed many things...
...if we would only try to learn from it. One huge one to me is the blatant disconnect of the economy and the stock market.
Remember the story about the doctor who suggested washing hands after dissecting cadavers and before delivering babies? He was ostracized too. Guess it is nothing new really.
