We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.
Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better.

[EDIT – Okay. Dense here. It's just that there was a recent "Jay Leno is dead" hoax running around. Now that I go back and check QMS's top pic, I get it.]
What a massive jaw. Must have had quite a bite back in the flesh-bearing day.
A way down south here we are seeing the first hummingbirds returning, as well as the first warblers and vireos (migratory insectivores). Hope spring finds y'all soon!
Here are a few... been too busy to visit and hang out much lately...
This is an Anole, aka American Chameleon, which can turn colors and be anything from black to brown to bright almost neon spring green. The throat pouch extension is the male's display.
This one is fuzzy, but you get the idea... Sandhill Cranes thermaling as they migrate north. They are on their way.
This is a first-spring female Yellow-bellied Sapsucker.
Thanks for all the posts everyone!

yeah QMS we got shorted on chameleons in the Americas. They are really old world critters, and Madagascar is the center of endemism and diversity. The Anoles of the Americas are completely different group of lizards, but since they had the pigment/color changing capabilities, we called them chameleons. The Caribbean is the capital of Anole diversity and endemism in the world. Every island has one or more endemic types. This native American type can be common in some southern areas. Long sold in pet stores of course, as either Anole or American Chameleon, and sometimes a carnival thing here. I like having them around outside, especially when they go neon green.

They were fun to play with. The little guys are everywhere in New Orleans; try as I might I couldn't catch one. I have a photo to share, but FB is not letting me access it right now; oh boy.

Absolutely beautiful visions, Social
Thank you!

it is left up to us to fill in the needs
for food banks and housing
even if they shut down for health reasons
