Bernie's binding contract. Bernie, cover America's ass.

It's a simple concept. Bernie, if you ever concede the democratic nomination, trade it for a legally binding written contract with DNC that you will be the exclusive alternate nominee in the general election in the event that Joe can't or won't perform his duties.

As I have mentioned before, I am hoping against hope that Bernie will overwhelm the cheating typhoon of the establishment. But it's necessary to have a plan B when/if that doesn't work.

Two things are apparent from the trajectory of the primary thus far,
1) The establishment and the media are 100% all in for Joe Biden.
2) Trump would nuke Joe in a general election.

My conclusion is that the establishment will have to drag Joe across finish line then swap him out with Bloomberg/Buttigieg, Booker/Kamala, Hillary/Bolton, etc..

It will be stressful for them if Bernie drags out the fight through the convention because that extends the window of time during which Joe may collapse literally or figuratively, and be forced to withdraw leaving Bernie as the nominee by default.

In their anxious effort to get safely past the substitution step they will pressure Bernie to concede.

It is at this point that Bernie needs to get in writing (under some onerous $ penalty) that he is the exclusive alternate nominee if Joe ceases to be the nominee for any reason. They will refuse, of course.

(This will force the DNC to use the nuclear option which will obliterate the party,
which is to piss in the faces of the voters and select someone other than Joe or Bernie.)

On edit : After typing and thinking it occurs to me that the most likely route the DNC will take is to just throw the election to Trump. They have painted themselves into a hell of corner by backing Biden. And the least messy way out is to find a subtle way to lose to Trump. In 4 more years they can get right back to the business of rigging the primary again.

It would be nice if Bernie could do that - get that in writing, but I agree, the dimwit party will not allow it. The party is going to implode anyway unless Bernie is the nominee. Yes, many will vote blue no matter who, but Herr Drumpf will win, in the end if it's Joementia.

Listen to this week's Intercept podcast, Aja Monet and Astra Taylor have made me feel more calm about the whole thing. It may not do it for you, but give it a try.

if Joe stepped down for "health reasons" (i.e. given his current illness) before the convention and the delegates at the convention were asked to support Hillary Clinton. Of course it wouldn't work and we'd get a resounding Donald Trump victory; you don't switch candidates so late like that and expect victory. And everyone would ask: "why didn't you all support Amy Klobuchar, who has been all along of sound mind and body?" But they don't care.

OK Bernie this is your chance after selling out to HRCheater last time. Are you willing to look past this primary and do the right thing for America? The Democratic party cheats, cheats and then cheats again. They are addicted to cheating. They decided that no way would Bernie be the candidate - they would do whatever it took to defeat him. They were in a panic when it looked like Super Tuesday would cinch his nomination so they came up with The Plan. At the last minute the other candidates threw their support to Biden with no chance for Bernie to actually run against just him. Then they closed polling places in Bernie districts. Then they cheated on the ballot counting, see Lee Camp on exit polls. In any rational universe MA and TX would have gone to Bernie and someone would be in jail. The discrepancy was 8% in MA. I live in MA and we were strongly for Bernie. I heard no ads for Joe and saw no visits from him. WTF? In 2016 the same thing happened. In the Republican primary all the primaries were consistent with the exit polls. Not so for the Dems, and all the rigged primaries went for HRCheater.

Bernie- do not drop out if you value democracy and love America. Run a vigorous campaign right up to the convention. Stand your ground on debate rules. Insist that the other remaining candidate be allowed to participate, that's right, Tulsi. Do not fall for the line that party unity is the most important factor. What if Biden has a cerebral hemorrhage between now and the convention? Or contracts the Coronavirus? Don't give in.

There is something in the vibrosphere where people's hope is PALPABLE. People are holding on to so much hope that Bernie can pull it off tonight because there is so much despair in the country because things are not working out for us and hope is all they have left. The despair is because we know that the 1% don't give a rat's ass about us or whether we live or die. So many of us were left behind or thrown away when Obama turned his back on his supporters and just made sure that the banks would continue to stand and would get to continue to rip us off.

If Biden wins tonight because it has been rigged for him to not many people will see the powers behind the curtain hand's on it and will accept the results. But I am just flummoxed by the people who just 10 short years ago voted for Obama and universal health care, but are now saying NO WE CAN'T have it because we don't know how to pay for it. Bullshit. We cannot afford not to do it and especially now with the corona virus wreaking havoc.

Side note. If you search for berniesander.com it takes you to Biden's ActBlue page where you will find these lies.

The campaign does not accept contributions from corporations or their PACs, unions, federal government contractors, national banks, those registered as federal lobbyists or under the Foreign Agents Registration Act, SEC-named executives of fossil fuel companies (i.e., companies whose primary business is the extraction, processing, distribution or sale of oil, gas or coal); or foreign nationals.

Maybe not, but Joe sure does have lots of people from those industries either supporting him with money or advice. I think the whole statement is bunk. Does anyone think Joe would appoint Dimon because he would be the best person for the job or because Dimon and his friends have been pouring money into Joe's campaign coffers?
Yeah me too or me neither.

Welp folks good luck today. I hope everyone that wants to vote is able to without waiting hours in line. Lot riding on today.

Don't be so sure Biden can't win vs. Trump given the collapse of the economy and the coronavirus pandemic.

Biden, even as a confused doddering dullard, can be propped up by the MSM to head a puppet regime for Obama. I mean that's been the hidden story the past couple of weeks. Of course, it gets no play. MSM mentioned the phone calls that Obama made to Buttigieg, Klobuchar, and Bloomberg and left it at that. Anybody think Obama didn't call Jim Clyburn?

Hillary's Trojan Horse (Bloomberg) failed spectacularly and betrayed Clintons Inc. for a promise to head up the World Bank and/or whatever deals he cut for himself.

Warren got thrown a shit pie re. any rewards for an endorsement. No VP or Secretary of the Treasury for her. Better to have Bain Capital's Managing Director Deval Patrick for VP and JP Morgan CEO Jamie Dimon for Secretary of the Treasury. That'll show Warren the priorities of IdPol according to Obama/Biden.

The only monkey wrench that can screw up Obama's victory over Hillary is if Biden pops a few more brain aneurisms leading up to the nomination and/or November elections.

Today, Dems are the Party of fiscal conservatism. (Remember Dick Cheney saying - "Deficits Don't Matter.") Even NYT finance/budget writer David Leonhardt finally admitted to this being the current state of affairs, at least since WJC's Administration, if not since Carter's.

There's reporting that Pelosi will be certain to push for a deficit 'trigger' if there is a stimulus package. IOW, she can't let loose of "PayGo," even in a major national emergency when a stimulus package may save lives. Phew!

(Not to say that both Repubs and Dems won't consider using any stimulus spending as an excuse to slash entitlements--after the November election. Totally plausible, I would think.)

Also, will be reposting excerpts regarding O's, the DP Establishment's, and Biden's quest to dismantle the social safety net by striking a GB with John Boehner.

That agenda has only been driven gone underground--not dissipated. (IMO)

Soon, will be posting the transcript, or video of NH Dem Senator Jeanne Shaheen reiterating her support of the Bowles-Simpson Catfood Commission's Proposal to slash entitlements.

(this was quite recent--in an interview with FNC Host Bret Baier this past December 2019)

Heard an interesting theory, recently. Regarding FSC, Republican (Daddy) John Sununu opined that FSC is actually running for VP (Biden's), so she can take over, later.

I've been thinking about 'why' the DP PtB would risk trying to install Uncle Joe, and, have to wonder if they're actually doing this expecting Dr Jill Biden to take over (under the radar)--taking orders from the O and C Cabal regarding governing.

Just a thought . . . and a scary one, at that! Biggrin

Have a good one.

Tax rollback/cut. (per MSNBC)

Figures.

Of course, some have suggested that since the cohort most affected--seniors--mostly don't have payroll taxed levied on them (if already retired). So, might be a better idea to send out a check to older Americans (ie., a so-called 'targeted' stimulus) who are most likely to have a critical need for extra cash to offset COVID-19 costs of treatment, testing, vaccines, RX's, etc.

Still trying to find out exactly what Medicare will pay. Guess I'll just have to call them, since I'm turning up conflicting info. Can't verify what CMS Administrator Verma said yesterday. Will post, if/when I can verify her statements.

Received an email yesterday from Medicare. The subject line was "Take preventive action now against COVID-19." There is a link to a Medicare website in the email where specific details are listed. I'm going to copy/paste the pertinent info you're asking about:

Medicare covers related needs

Medicare covers the lab tests for COVID-19. You pay no out-of-pocket costs.

Medicare covers all medically necessary hospitalizations. This includes if you're diagnosed with COVID-19 and might otherwise have been discharged from the hospital after an inpatient stay, but instead you need to stay in the hospital under quarantine.

At this time, there's no vaccine for COVID-19. However, if one becomes available, it will be covered by all Medicare Prescription Drug Plans (Part D).

If you have a Medicare Advantage Plan, you have access to these same benefits. Medicare allows these plans to waive cost-sharing for COVID-19 lab tests. Many plans offer additional telehealth benefits beyond the ones described below. Check with your plan about your coverage and costs.

There's a lot more information on that page. Worth it to read it all.

And not particularly desirable, for the Dems. Having Trump in there would be better for them than Biden. This isn't 1984--America could tolerate Reagan's dementia because things were not so dire (although we shouldn't have). Biden as President would probably destroy whatever was left of their reputation, might even make them look as bad as Trump. America is not kind to weak leaders (again, Reagan was the big exception).

Way easier for them to switch them out at the election--maybe Biden could plead health problems or something. Although I suppose they might put in a charismatic VP and make that person the face of the new administration. I'm not sure that would work as well for them, though (and who would it be anyway? Who do they have that has a strong base of support/credibility other than Obama?

Sometime in the '80s companies began using computers to assess the "productivity" of their employees. One had to meet a certain page or time or cost count, as compared to earlier situations where the costs or complex qualities of unique projects were based on the actual work and skills needed to do it.
Very little needed to be changed from calculations like that (now undoubtedly in place at A-monopoly and countless other corporations) to using the same "productivity" predictions, demands, and calculations to "counting" votes.
Invisibility is built in from the start.

The plan is obvious - fix the nomination for Biden, make who they really want, someone unelectable (Hillary? John Bolton? Kathleen Kennedy?) his running mate, then have Joe resign in early February. Abra Kaddabra!
Bernie must have suspected they would try something like this - fix the primary, throw the election, run a fascist as VP, whatever circumstances seem the most likely to work - therefore his plan all along was not to win the Presidency, it was to bring about the demise of the quisling Democratic Party as quickly as possible by forcing it to reveal itself.
If that is his real plan it is succeeding.

The man repeated his accusation that Biden was "trying to take our guns," and Biden pushed back. "I did not say that. I did not say that." After the worker told him that he had made the remark in "a viral video," the former vice president replied that "it's a viral video like the other ones they're putting out that are simply a lie."

"This is not OK, alright?" the man said, to which Biden replied, "Don't tell me that, pal, or I'm going to go out and slap you in the face."

Hiding Behind False and Misleading Claims, Biden Refuses to Commit to Signing Medicare for All Bill as President

One of corporate Democrats' most common talking points against Medicare for All is that such a proposal would never make it through Congress. But Joe Biden, in an interview that aired Monday night, admitted that even if one did—with the approval of his own party—he would not necessarily jump at the historic chance to sign it into law.

Biden insisted that he supports the "principle" behind Medicare for All—providing healthcare as a right—but opposes the policy because he believes it is impractical and would raise taxes on the middle class, a right-wing talking point that ignores the savings most U.S. families would see via Medicare for All's elimination of premiums, co-pays, and deductibles.

"My opposition isn't to the principle that you should have Medicare," Biden said. "My opposition relates to whether or not, a, it's doable, and, two, what the cost is and what the consequences to the rest of the budget are. How are going to find $35 trillion over the next 10 years without having profound impacts on everything from taxes for middle class, working class people, as well as the impact on the rest of the budget?"

(No thought at all about raising the taxes on the upper class though huh Joe?)

Remember when Barack Obama ran on a single-payer healthcare system? Me too. The ACA was a compromise and not a particularly good one. Sad to see Obama now care more about protecting his greatest single achievement, the ACA, as opposed to the single-payer he had wanted all along./blockquote>

It is more sad to see many people wanting that too instead of the disappointing and hideously flawed crap that came from two years of work while doing nothing as millions lost their homes, jobs and pensions. But yeah let's go back to that type of legislating because Trump is bad. SMDH. I really don't get this.
