Chris Matthews is a pig

The pleasing part of this video is seeing how the Bernie Surge has brought Matthews to the verge of tears.

OTOH, everything he says makes my blood boil.
First of all, Fuck You Chris, for your elitist contempt of antiwar people.
Secondly, do you really think that nothing has changed in America since 1972?
Thirdly, where does this "Bernie hasn't been vetted" thing come from? Bernie has been in Congress for 3 decades!

The establishment are morons in an elitist bubble that have no clue what is going on in this country.

A bunch of caucus sites are being relocated because of a much bigger turnout than expected!

What the actual fuck is this guy worried about? He is a white man who will fail up no matter what, and he's not even that long for this mortal curl should President Sanders actually ruin whatever is left of his life.

These pundit morons are beyond reprehensible. This slimebag only aspires to be the mud an actual pig, a noble animal, drops a turd into, and even then, it'd be a toss-up for me as to where the greater credibility and usefulness lies.

He didn't use the M word but damned close to it. NO Chris, she shot herself in the foot, just like Her before her did, unforced errors are NOT misogyny!!! But we plebes are NOT to question, we are to go along and not scrutinize one fine thing our bought and paid for candidates do or say. So sickening.

@lizzyh7 on what planet would the Clinton machine NOT scrutinize every move Sanders made since the age of 2? The best that they could come up with were lies about him and lies about her ("getting things done" is now the equivalent of the sound of a dripping faucet to me).

Elizabeth Warren didn't just shoot herself in the foot, she napalmed herself in the face. A really important part of her failure was that she showed she couldn't make a nick in Bernie's armour. The Establishment needed someone to test their damage power and she failed pretty fucking miserably. So now I've been reading about parachuting in John Kerry because Biden is malfunctioning constantly.

@Le Frog in the proverbial foot with that stunt. Talk about making women look like incompetent liars, who when questioned just decline to discuss it or get immediately hostile and defensive? I mean, really? If she really gave any shit for women she would most certainly not have walked back her support for M4A, right off the top of my head and only one of her egregious errors. It makes me so angry to see real issues USED for political gain, it's like nails on a chalkboard to me and is most definitely going to make me start spewing out my rage to anyone in proximity.

@lizzyh7 a lot of ridiculous "I believe Liz Warren #MeToo" bullshit was flying around and as usual, a valid and important conversation was co-opted to cover a cowardly elite ass. I hate that "believing women" went from listening to and making space for sexual assault victims in a very hostile public discourse and legal system to providing coverage for lies for a political campaign. It's not that I believe Bernie doesn't have the capacity to lie, or that there was no room for misunderstanding, or that a liar like Warren couldn't be telling the truth this time. It's that she has a crew of Clinton operatives on her campaign who leaked a half-whispered story to the debate hosting network the day before the debate, and then didn't own the story. If she had stood by the story and challenged him to a duel, she would have won, lie or not. She choked, I believe, because the story was false, and she paid the price.

@Le Frog No kidding. When you are as consistent as Bernie has been about things throughout your life makes you bullet proof. Even people I know who really don't like Bernie didn't believe her. Good lord who even came up with that stupidity.

@lizzyh7 I've been noticing rumblings of concern trolling about how Bernie hasn't been scrutinized or vetted (depending on who the speaker is.) That's really what Matthews was saying. Of course, it's out and out nonsense. Maybe the MSNBC class believe that, but anyone else who can remember 2016 knows that's bull.

It is still a minority in Congress and the Democratic party but it has young charismatic elected leaders, like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar, all women of color who have generated massive enthusiasm stumping for Sanders in Iowa. Watching a great Vampire Weekend or Bon Iver concert can mask the fact that what is stirring in Iowa with the Sanders campaign could be the takeover of the Democratic Party by this faction. At the very least, it is the start of an enormous battle that will unfold over the next few months.

It is at the Biden events where you have to sniff hard to smell the gasoline that drives his candidacy. His is a pure electability candidacy, and while polls show that’s what the people want, it can seem hollow.

Is this a play on how ByeDone sniffs women and girls hair? Speaking of this HuffPoo had an article yesterday about how ByeDone was touching women at his event. Ewww, but apparently the women were letting him do that. For some reason, but then that's just creepy.

I went there to see if they were in mourning to, but instead I found this in the rec'd list.
I'll quote the part where the guy explains why he switched to Bernie.

Another reason is that I was skeptical of Medicare for All. I thought Biden’s modest reforms to the health insurance system, such as strengthening the ACA with a public option, were the more reasonable way to go.

I have changed my mind, and I’d like to tell you why.

In December, I had an auto accident and my car was totaled. I was able to walk away from the wreck but had severe back pain. I went to an urgent care clinic and they took X-rays and found that I had two broken ribs and a possible issue with vertebrae in my spine. They sent me to the emergency room at the hospital for a CT scan, which revealed that indeed I had a compressed vertebra. Fortunately, it was mild, and there was no neurological damage. The neurologist who examined me said I was lucky — if the compression had been worse, I could have been paralyzed from the waist down.

Because I am self-employed and not very well off, I have a Bronze plan under the ACA — the cheapest health insurance available. The only time I ever use it is for emergencies, because I am generally a pretty healthy guy. So, the only reason I buy health insurance is for situations such as my recent auto accident.

Last week I was informed by my health insurance company — one of the biggest ones in America — that they denied my claim from the urgent care clinic. The reason is, it was coded as a regular “office visit” instead of “urgent care.” My insurance company told me it was probably miscoded and I should try to persuade the clinic to change the code. So I called the clinic, and was shocked to learn that they have a “legal contract” with the health insurance company to systematically code everything as “office visits” instead of “urgent care” — even though their clinic actually has the phrase Urgent Care in its name, and the services they provide are for emergencies.

This sounds to me like fraud.

@gjohnsit it's sickening that this level of trauma is needed for someone to come to the realization that for-profit healthcare coverage = bad.

I'm Canadian. I pay, what amounts to a lot of money for me, in taxes. I grumble a little bit about the tax deductions on my paycheque, but it is a) nowhere near as much as what I'd pay privately for a medical emergency, God forbid, and b) my privilege to cover someone who would have zero access to any healthcare services otherwise. (For the fiscal conservatives: it's cheaper to fund a universal, single-payer system than to pay for the poverty generated by a for-profit healthcare system.)

Biden is trying to scare people away from MFA because Iowa privatized it's Medicaid which screwed the hospitals it was supposed to be paying. This meant that hospitals had to or are closing and especially rural ones. But in states that expanded Medicaid the rural hospitals are doing fine.

I didn't know that could happen. This happened during Obama's tenure and I would think that his Medicaid guru would have known what would happen if it did.

As Obama's Medicare guru told the country the only thing that changes is that insurance companies don't have a say in our medical treatment anymore and the government pays the bills. It's worked that way since FDR passed it so that is how Bernie should explain it to people. Take the profit motive out of insurance and just let people get treated instead of dying or being left with massive bills.

BTW you have to read the linked article and then the one inside it to get the whole story.

Potter's thread is a great read too. Lots of grifting going on in the health insurance industry!

This has been thread readed so it's easier to read. One dweeb went after him for doing a hit job on ByeDone on Election Day. I set him straight..lol.
