So long Joe

No offense to cattle but creepy uncle joe just contracted hoof in mouth about social security.
Biden denied wanting to cut Social Security when asked at an Iowa campaign event on Saturday about rumors he wants to change the program, and he lambasted Sanders’ campaign.
“It’s simply a lie, that video is a lie,” Biden said. “I’m looking for his campaign to come forward and disown it but they haven’t done it yet.”

Hope the media covers this as a substantive policy disagreement.
And I hope they play the video. https://t.co/L1EI6XRgQr

If he survives this
you'll have proof positive of rigging.
He's falsly accusing the Sanders camp of posting a doctored video. He's nuts.

@Pricknick
How many seniors follow Twitter and Facebook? Is Bernie's campaign run by amateurs or plants?
TV! Particularly day time TV, afternoon or noon news is best. Local stations running re-runs of 70's shows are best for reaching people on SS.
hey, I'm a computer professional and I don't follow twitter or Facebook. The Grampad crowd doesn't either!
I've seen lots of changes. What doesn't change is people. Same old hairless apes.
Where have I seen that?
I too do not use twit or faceplant.
But where does that quote come from?

are on facebook a lot. I see more older folks on there than the younger generations. Amongst the young 'uns, I understand that FB is considered somewhat "old fogey".

Here's hoping!
After the preferred candidates have either completely tanked (Harris, Castro, Gillibrand, Booker, etc), failed to launch (Bloomberg, Patrick LOL) or have failed to be produce results after being the One to Prop Up (Buttigieg, Warren), the Cartel is back on for Biden.
Even Donald Trump tweeted that the Democrats are trying to shank Bernie and he specifically accused Nancy Pelosi of scheduling impeachment shenanigans to take Bernie out of Iowa. I thought I was hallucinating:

When you (ahem CNN and "journalists" and "reporters") lose the high ground to Donald Trump, it's time to reevaluate everything.
He's confused
Those that can't see that in him are willfully blind.
I'm almost starting to feel sorry for him.
Almost.

Why is he even running?
Why is he staying in?
Allow me to refer to a couple sources not much cited hereabouts, apparently: Rudy Giuliani and Infowars (yes, them).
Don't have a link, but happened to catch a snippet on Infowars maybe four months back talking about Biden.
They were claiming insider information and predicting that he would drop out.
The gist was this: Biden was not initially at all interested in running but was induced to do so (by whom not specified). He turned it down initially but was assured that he would not face serious competition and that he would get the nomination in a Hillary style coronation and not have to to much work so reluctantly agreed to run.
However, it was turning out to be more work and being subjected to far more scrutiny and criticism than he bargained for and Joe (supposedly) wanted out.
Well, obviously, he's still in.
So, what does that have to do with Giuliani? Maybe nothing, but Giuliani has been investigating Biden since Fall 2018 and has claimed on multiple occasions that he has evidence of Biden corruption extending back 30-40 years.
Does he? I don't know. But Giuliani actually has a pretty serious record as a prosecutor of complex RICO cases and seems to be raring to be called as a witness in the impeachment circus so I wouldn't just dismiss his claims.
And if Giuliani has compromising material he is likely not the only one.
Not proof, but the Infowars account is at least provides a plausible explanation for why Joe is in it at all. And if Giuliani's corruption claims are credible then the incentive for Biden to stay in could be that he is subject to some outright blackmail to continue and/or just be desperate to win so as to be in a position to make it all go away...
Interesting possibilities, anyway - best stay stocked up on popcorn.

Since I have resolved never to listen to joe,
I appreciate the twitter text.
I think everyone, including Bernie, should do the same. What is the point of responding/wasting breath on someone like him?
I give credit when due.
What joe is doing is no different than what hillbot did in 2016. Lie.
But damn, it's nice to see that sanders has a team that won't let them get away with it this time.
What I find even more facinating, is that the so-called top tier is self-imploding.
It's a sight to see.
Sanders only has to stay on message and the rest will fall on their own. That take's a hell of a team and organization and it's far more evolved this election.
Regardless of the path in life I chose, I realize it's always forward, never straight.
I'm so glad he has such a supportive and sharp team.
As you say, "Sanders only has to stay on message and the rest will fall on their own."
It appears that it is being noticed.

I agree
However, this isn't Bernie. He is a person of immense integrity and moral character; I don't think he has it in him to go for low blows (if he does, I will be extremely disappointed). He's going to answer questions directly, base his campaigning on the issues, and remind everyone that he needs their help.
His approach sets him for the history books. Mine sets me up for a future contestant spot on Dancing With the Stars.

People need to see --
Democrats, This Is Your Future If You Turn on Obama." Of course, one of Obama's most wannabe moments was in appointing Joe Biden as his Vice-President.
-- with their own eyes -- the factual evidence in favor of Barack Obama as a Republican wannabe. Until such time you'll see things like you saw last August, when Rahm Emanuel put out an article titled "The ruling classes need an extra party to make the rest of us feel as if we participate in democracy. That's what the Democrats are for. They make the US more durable than the Soviet Union was.
don't disagree, but...
Although Bernie and his team are looking dynamic at the moment, it seems to me that Bernie people have incentive to keep Tulsi and Yang in the race.
After all, given Sanders' age and the establishment's bitter dislike for him, the possibility of him having to drop out for some reason can't be discounted.
Where would Bernie people go in that event? If Gabbard and Yang were not around as alternatives the prospects would be pretty bleak, no?
Yang was on Bill Maher Friday night.
Inner and Outer Space: the Final Frontiers.
Yang...Gabbard...choices...
Not sure I can tolerate watching Bill Maher long enough to
actually sit through that, but UBI and some of Yang's other ideas are worth hearing - he might be good in a cabinet post or high level advisor capacity.
Have to love his "Make America Think Harder" thing, anyway.
Personally, I'm all in for Gabbard - I think she has a combination of will, background knowledge and experience and fundamental respect for constitutional principles (and people) that I don't see in other candidates.
She's also the only one in the field I can see beating Trump - barring alien invasions, asteroid strikes or the wheels completely falling off the economy before November.
I'm sure that Bernie is the second choice of many, if not most, Gabbard supporters - but who is the second choice of Sanders supporters? Seems like conventional wisdom was that it would be Warren, but how attractive does that seem now?

Listen to Michael Moore’s latest podcast. A lot of it is the typical McResistance garbage but I feel sorry for the dude as he’s genuinely heartbroken over this.

More hinky stuff from Warren
and a Warren supporter. This just rubs me wrong.

“I believe you 100%,” one woman told Warren at an event in Iowa.
Really? Debunked? No not so much. This is about Moore's podcast.
And of course it's a hit job to point out that Biden is on record many times trying to cut social security. Even though he was the one who appointed Alan Simpson to the Cat Food commission during MyBoss crime spree presidency.

this is called tag teaming
"you just called me a liar on national TV"
“I’m looking for his campaign to come forward and disown it but they haven’t done it yet.”
It seems to be coordinated.
In all honesty
it was "I think you just called me a liar on national TV".

It's all bullshit.

Ayup
I think most everyone sees this for what it is. I'm betting next week we will see another hit on Bernie. I posted an article in my essay about a letter Bernie wrote over a decade ago has found its way into public view again. Who dug that up? I like the Bernie then better than the one now because he was not only calling out the despicable democrats, but saying that they can't be changed from the inside of the party.
Who has the sigline about joining the mafia and trying to change it from the inside? Deja maybe?
Scientists are concerned that conspiracy theories may die out if they keep coming true at the current alarming rate.
The Warren episode has innoculated Bernie...
against the 'liar, liar' smear, so now when Joe tries it he doesn't get the same benefit of the doubt. Quite the opposite in fact.
You'd think Biden's lieutenants would see Warren's shipwreck and change tack. Instead, it's damn the torpedoes time.
The current working assumption appears to be that our Shroedinger's Cat system is still alive. But what if we all suspect it's not, and the real problem is we just can't bring ourselves to open the box?
Nate's Liver has things figured out. LOL
Joe Biden is a horse's ass
I've lived through President Clinton and Barack Obama's presidencies. Both guys tried to gut the Social Security program to prove how "bi-partisan" the were.
President Obama went so far as to appoint the "cat food commission" to study the issue and it took a gigantic effort from the people on the political Left to stop it.
Joe Biden and company need to stop lying about what they've done and what they've supported. Anyone with 2 to 5 fingers can look it up on the internet and call them on it.
"The enemy is anybody who is going to get you killed, no matter which side he's on." Yossarian
Yes it took a lot of effort of the people including this guy
Obama Wanted to Cut Social Security. Then Bernie Sanders Happened
"....Lawson’s organization has worked with lawmakers and other nonprofit organizations to oppose Obama’s proposed Social Security cuts and shift the conversation towards expansion. By the summer of 2014, a small group of Democratic caucus senators, led by Sen. Bernie Sanders, started advocating for lifting Social Security’s payroll tax cap so wealthier people paid more into the system, and then increasing benefits to seniors. Polling by advocacy groups found broad support for expansion.
This idea became a central theme in Sanders’s presidential campaign. In the speech announcing his candidacy, the senator said that “instead of cutting Social Security, we’re going to expand Social Security benefits.”
“It has become impossible for elected officials to ignore the simple fact that Social Security is a solution and not a problem, and that the only thing wrong with it are that benefits are too low,” Lawson said.
In both 2008 and 2012, Obama explicitly campaigned on protecting the Social Security program and rejecting plans that would cut benefits. But shortly after re-election in 2012, the Obama Administration proposed re-calculating the way Social Security’s cost of living adjustments work...."

This will not end well for Joe.
Karma has teeth.
The current working assumption appears to be that our Shroedinger's Cat system is still alive. But what if we all suspect it's not, and the real problem is we just can't bring ourselves to open the box?
First Liz, now Joe.
The oligarchy's highly paid, genius-level persuaders (no sarcasm) are now focused on undermining Bernie's strongest personal trait: his moral rectitude, his character. This is how they plan to take him down. It's how they've been operating lately, and they're very good at it; they did it to Julian Assange and succeeded.
I don't know how to counter this type of attack, but pointing it out for exactly what it is would be a good start. Note the similarities between the Biden and Warren assaults. And document the supporting evidence of Biden's actual dismissiveness toward SS.
They will do anything to break Bernie' momentum. That's what Lizzy's Hail Mary was about. The ultimate objective is to eliminate the people as a factor. It became obvious in the 1980s & 90s that we are the enemy. It's us against them, and they have all the money, power, connections, organization (including media). All we have are the numbers and our remaining legal standing via the Constitution ("We the People"). Bernie and Tulsi are our sole representatives on the national arena, all the rest (except maybe Yang) are working for the oligarchy/establishment/deep state. It's exactly as Pluto's Republic wrote a few days ago -- "We are all he has, and he is what we've been given."
We can laugh all we want at old Joe, but what we need to do right now is reinforce Bernie's moral and ethical flank, his character as evidenced by his history and also in contrast to that of his opponents. (And like many, I loathe his Russiagate and TDS blather, but he's sticking to it, perhaps with good reason.)
We knew it would get ugly, and it is. It's just going to get worse. Hope Bernie's up for it -- and us, too.

Beep! Beep!
They can try to Wiley Coyote Bernie all they want. Bernie's the Roadrunner. Beep! Beep!
This is BIG!
WOW! I thought she would endorse Warren!
Otherwise, I'm just tuckered out trying to keep up with all the smears on Bernie.
And it seems like Iowa, a very, very, very, very white state, is now seen by oddsmakers as crucial as to who winds up with the nomination. I just saw something comparing how odds change for each of the top candidates comparing winning in IA and losing in IA anf the differences are GIGANTIC, especially for the top three candidates. I looked for the tweet again but can't quickly find it.
She is going to be in Iowa on monday.
My representative!
She is one of the best and I count myself as fortunate to have been able to help elect and (in a small way) fund her. We're fortunate to have both Jayapal and Kshama Sawant out here.
I want Kshama Sawant to run against Sens Murray or Cantwell n/t
LOL
This is the game plan.
Biden supporters refuse to stop digging that hole.
Like during Vietnam when they would say they had to
destroy the village to save it.

I was recently listening to a guy on MSNBC who described politics today as being played in Ronald Reagan's stadium since 1980.
He also said that from 1932 to 1980, politics were being played in FDR's stadium.
Bernie Sanders is the only candidate brave enough, smart enough and loud enough to get us back to FDR's stadium.
