Republican Party organizations are $155 million ahead on fundraising for the 2020 election cycle. The Democratic Party is $63 million behind and the Democratic National Committee is $118 behind their Republican counterparts.

In 2016, all Democratic Party organizations outraised Republican analogues substantially -- by $433 million. It's possible that the Democratic Party is suffering the aftereffects of their ill-treatment of Bernie Sanders in 2016, although final fundraising figures won't be available until next year.

While their ill-treatment of their entire left wing is a contributing factor, the Democrats' financial woes are a feature, not a bug. Obama sat on his warchest rather than retiring the campaign debts of the DNC after his election. The impoverished DNC was then bought by HRC, who paid off their debts in return for control of DNC operations in 2015-2016. Having secured the nomination for herself, HRC used the Hillary Victory Fund and the state parties to launder enormous sums into her presidential campaign, which were then disbursed into the coffers of favored political consultants in return for their expert advice on the best way to run her campaign. When disgruntled Bernie supporters sued the DNC for the primary rigging, the party's defense was that they have no obligation to nominate a candidate based on primary voters' preference, in spite of a charter which commits them to impartiality. As a bonus, if the plaintiffs eventually win a judgment against the DNC, the organization has no money to pay. So sorry!

@The Breach Awaits

there's been bad news. In October, a three-judge panel of the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals affirmed the trial court's decision to dismiss the lawsuit on procedural grounds.

The plaintiffs have the option of requesting an en banc rehearing of the appeal ("en banc" meaning that it would be decided by all twelve of the 11th Circuit appellate judges).

I could be mistaken, but I don't get the sense that the plaintiffs' lawyers, Jared Beck and Elizabeth Lee Beck, are going to do that. It would be an extremely long shot, and I suspect the Becks feel they've taken it as far as they can.

What this means is that the DNC Fraud lawsuit is dead. Unfortunate, because discovery would have been amazing to watch.

P. S. The decision of the 11th Circuit is posted on the Becks' webpage. Scroll all the way to the bottom of the page; it's items Nos. 73 and 74 under "Available Appellate Case Documents".
