Some soothsayers say, trump will pardon war criminals.
Just who is a criminal here?

Progressives, human rights advocates, and journalists responded with outrage on Saturday to a New York Times report that President Donald Trump "has requested the immediate preparation of paperwork needed to pardon several American military members accused or convicted of war crimes."
We need to look forward.

I have been replying to tweets on Trump's doing this
with Obama's exact words. "No one is above the law, but.....
my general view is Holder's job is to uphold the constitution, but...."
I also tell people that history didn't start the day Trump became president. He has been doing the same things that Obama did and that he is Obama's legacy. People are outraged about Trump pardoning war criminals, but that's what Barry did after we tortured some folks.
Now
we pass candy to the true war criminals.
Regardless of the path in life I chose, I realize it's always forward, never straight.
George Bush and John McCain became revived by the kids
after they criticized Trump. This was all it took for two horrible war criminals to become swell guys in their eyes. I always thought that the Bush derangement syndrome and the Obama one was silly, but what Trump's election has wrought is just beyond belief. Rachel, Ellen, Oprah and others have all forgiven them just because they said something mean about Trump. I keep waiting for Henry Kissinger to say something just to see what happens. Oh wait..Hillary said that he gave her some great advice didn't she?
Kissinger is Hillary's mentor
I fully expect that when Henry Kissinger dies, there will be a big effort by the establishment (both Repub and Dem) and the MSM to sanctify him the same way they did for McCain.
It will be interesting to see if there is any pushback by the public, especially by those of us who were around during the '60s and '70s and know (or should know) what he actually did.

You are such a trippy delight, eyo!
If I were Michelle I’d get rid of that photo. It looks more like a farce of a Madonna and Child. If that’s what euphoria looks like, I’ll pass.
The Statue of Liberty loses a lot of mana being celebrated by that crowd.
Outraged I tell ya.
"Progressives, human rights advocates and journalists were outraged". Well, ya, it is outrageous, but what else is new. As far as the reaction, the first reaction should be that Trump is the biggest active war criminal on the planet so he should go first. Then Obama, Bush, and on down the line. Somehow that doesn't happen. But I'd imagine many of these outraged people are democrats who vote for politicians of the democratic imperialist war crime party, so you have to consider the source.
I R knott one.

Outrage is the norm, and it can be dangerous.
Doesn't he do that to pardon himself ... just on time?/nt

That observation
hit home.
Don't be sanctimonious
Those folks (the ones that murdered Iraqis in cold blood, for example) are patriots who had a hard job and were protecting us.
Rather than worry about them, I find it disturbing that you'd notice that they did something I'd rather you didn't notice. Shame on you!
But seriously, that Obama video is 100% depressing.
Barr has that history with Bush Sr.
Barr was intimately involved in securing pardons for Abrams and five other members of the Iran-Contra conspiracy back in 1992 — and speaks with pride of the achievement.
“I went over and told the President I thought he should not only pardon Caspar Weinberger, but while he was at it, he should pardon about five others,” Barr told historians from the University of Virginia’s Miller Center in 2001.
