Of course the democrats know what they need to do to not be losers. The fact that they haven't should by now told people that they have no intention of doing anything as shown by this new report.
This is such a no brainer and yet they refuse to even pretend to run on it.

How much does this matter? They still can override the will of the voters.

or if it had to be a conservative, a principled one like Bruce Fein.

Most probably wouldn’t have gotten confirmed, but the hearings and public discussions would have been very informative and, shall we say, educational for the country. A professor Francis Boyle or a principled conservative like Bruce Fein would have opened a lot of people’s eyes about how the current system operates and how its present practices have nothing to do with true constitutional government.

i'd meant to add links to 'green-washing and brandalism', but the café has too many diaries on the subject to bring realistically bring any. it may have been at cop15 that so many dissenters had out up giant posters making fun of the meme. anyhoo, my media files are full of them.

the Wrong Kind of Green collective and others (aaron gupta for one i just spotted) does their best to bring light to the falsity, as in: follow the money, see what the march, protest...is really about. usually, democrat status quo gatekeeping. hell's bells, in this at the white house 350.org even used obomba's logo. he was out of town, conveniently. but a hella lot of catch-and-release 'arrests'.

I checked into some of the tabs, comments, the early group photo, hand-picked participants* list with brief bios…and growled a little. It was hard not imagine that the organizers didn’t want to give too much advance notice or some well-meaning hippies might want to join them. Brrrrr; would they have been frozen out? Then I read the schedule: meet with police (gone now; might be usual), ‘media availability, and speeches in the park, and location: ‘…just east of the picture-postcard zone. Oy. Yep; it was hard not to further imagine that these folks’ll be orderin’ a mess o’ these photos for their holiday gifting."
