Julian Assange is a Russia-lovin' Putin Puppet, donchaknow

You had to know that this was coming.
All the way back in 2013, Wikileaks had been "Infiltrated by Russian Spies," donchaknow.
There were also other suspicious goin'ons.

The connections range from sharing purloined documents with a pro-Russian dictator to Assange receiving money for appearing on Russian state TV to WikiLeaks’ key involvement in NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden ending up in Russia.
These incidents don’t prove, as some have alleged, that Assange is some kind of paid Russian agent, or that WikiLeaks is a Russian front organization.

Yes, "some" have alleged that.
After all, what freedum lovin' person would accept dirty money for a TV interview?
Not to mention involvement in Snowden being involuntarily getting stuck in Russia, caused by the State Department voiding his passport, is proof of something something RUSSIA!

So it's not like we didn't all know that Assange is a Putin Puppet, but today's news proves he was all the way back in 2010.

Caught in a vise, the silver-haired Australian wrote to the Russian Consulate in London.

"I, Julian Assange, hereby grant full authority to my friend, Israel Shamir, to both drop off and collect my passport, in order to get a visa," said the letter, which was recently obtained by The Associated Press.

The Nov. 30, 2010 missive is part of a much larger trove of WikiLeaks emails, chat logs, financial records, secretly recorded footage and other documents leaked to The Associated Press.

The files provide both an intimate look at the radical transparency organization and an early hint of Assange's budding relationship with Moscow.
...
The Swedish prosecution jeopardized what at the time was WikiLeaks' biggest-ever disclosure: the publication of around 250,000 U.S. State Department cables. Swedish authorities issued a warrant for his arrest on Nov. 18, just 10 days before the cables exploded across the web, with bombshell revelations about drone strikes in Yemen, American spying at the U.N. and corruption across the Arab world.

Italy's then-foreign minister, Franco Frattini, described the release as the "Sept. 11 of world diplomacy." Enraged American politicians demanded that Assange be treated like a terrorist.

Very suspicious, eh? Trying to get a Russian visa just because the most powerful people in the world want to assassinate you because you exposed their corruption and war crimes?
It's as if Assange actually had the nerve of not wanting to be redentioned to a CIA black site.

RUSSIA!

FBN's Maria Bartiromo interviews Rep. Devin Nunes, chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, about military posturing against China, trade deals, and the approaching climax of the Mueller Russian investigation.

"There is a large number of Americans, Maria -- and I know it's probably not the people watching your show right now, but you would be shocked at the number of Americans who have drank the Russia Kool-Aid, and they actually believe that Donald Trump is under control of Vladimir Putin," Nunes said. "You're really dealing with many Americans who are living in an alternative universe."

NUNES: You are -- you are slowly starting to see this collapse in on them, even though the mainstream media is not covering this, because they seem so focused on drinking the Russian Kool-Aid on terms of what is -- who is getting indicted by the special counsel, and instead focus on, look, was there any collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia, which the answer is no.

Which AIPAC/MIC/pharma/bank bought politician are you going to vote for? Don’t be surprised when nothing changes.

@snoopydawg
That our honest and wholesome intelligence agencies, that have never done anything wrong in their existence, would lie?

Or that Assange is a Putin Puppet and Russian Spy?

I think you know the truth.

A truth of the nuclear age/climate change: we can no longer have endless war and survive on this planet. Oh sh*t.

Not Henry Kissinger's picture

NeoMcCarthyism simply isn't popular:

"In your view, is it more important that the United States take strong diplomatic and economic steps against Russia, or is it more important that the U.S. continue efforts to improve relations with Russia?"

Take strong steps against Russia 36%

Continue to improve relations 58%

Both the same (vol.) 4%

Unsure 3%

Gallup 8/1-12/18

The key number there is the lack of unsures. People have already made up their minds AGAINST Russiagate.

The revanchists have no idea how badly they are discrediting themselves in the eyes of most of the electorate, and so I hope they keep banging the Russiagate drum as loud as they can until election day.

Because, while it may gin up a little extra fanaticism from hardcore Hillbots, for the most part all the Russiagate progenitors accomplish is pissing the rest of us off even more than we already are.

The current working assumption appears to be that our Shroedinger's Cat system is still alive. But what if we all suspect it's not, and the real problem is we just can't bring ourselves to open the box?

@Not Henry Kissinger @Not Henry Kissinger
The whole Democratic strategy is a "Blue Wave" of revulsion fueled by Russiagate.
But there is only belief amongst the hard care (D)'s. Why would any Republican be disgusted? They got their Laissez-Faire. They got their overseas cash repatriation. They got their big tax cut. They got their booming stock market (courtesy of companies buying their own stock with the corporate tax cut). The Tariffs are upsetting New York investment bankers and importing companies, but they are playing just fine in blue collar Middle America. Republicans have pretty much given up on the West Coast and Northeast anyway.

I think economic collapse is coming. It always does with unrestrained capitalism. But not before November.

Look at TOP and Booman Tribune. Nothing but fantasies of impeachment, 25th Amendment and taking back both Houses of Congress. Ain't gonna happen. No soul searching about WHY they lost an easy election in 2016, just doubling down on nonsense. "Those who ignore History are condemned to repeat it."

I've seen lots of changes. What doesn't change is people. Same old hairless apes.

@The Voice In the Wilderness next comes the economy

@gjohnsit
The same people who think China can demand immediate payment for the Treasury bonds they hold or think that the Federal debt is owed by each of us individually. I give a break for being uneducated to those that think the US dollar has intrinsic value beyond the fact that you can pay taxes with it or that money needs gold "backing". The mathematics of money is complex and most Americans can't even add up a restaurant check.
Forty years ago in Virginia, I would see grocery store shoppers putting all their money on the belt, waiting for the cashier to take whatever the bill was, then putting the remainder back in their pocket. Now I see it in Illinois as well. I could make change when I was seven years old. Our schools teach our children (uselessly) about set algebra and neglect to to teach them simple arithmetic. Ask a kid about multiplication tables. You will get a blank look. No wonder politicians can hoodwink them.
