The New Face of the Putin Plot To Destroy America

putin.jpg

Pictured above is Selina Vickers. She's an agent of chaos. Or at least the DNC believes she is.

Selina Vickers’s weekend trip to Rhode Island was as cheap as she could make it. She shelled out $143.60 for a plane ticket from West Virginia to Providence, where the Democratic National Committee’s rules and bylaws group was meeting.

She paid $68.07 for an Airbnb in Cranston, a short commute from Providence. Once there, Vickers did what she always did at DNC meetings — she took notes, recorded video and made sure that the party was committing to overhaul its primary rules.

A few days later, Vickers was accused of being a Russia-backed agent of chaos, working to destabilize the Democratic Party from within.

The DNC’s current argument over how to overhaul its primaries process, which has now lasted longer than the United States’ involvement in World War I¹, achieved a special kind of absurdity Monday when longtime DNC member Bob Mulholland asked whether Vickers’s appearances at meetings were paid for by Russians. Mulholland, who often cc’s reporters on his memos about the rules debate, speculated over the weekend that “someone is picking up her expenses” and that this was evidence that “the Putin operation is still active.”

Yes, that photo of Selina Vickers is terrifying. Or not.
And getting rid of superdelegates is the #1 way of undermining America. Or not.

“I concluded someone is picking up her expenses but there she and others are, demanding we change our Rules,” Mulholland wrote. “The Putin operation is still active.”
Contacted by HuffPost on Sunday, Mulholland conceded he had no evidence the woman, who he did not name, was bankrolled by Putin.

But he said that “when people show up who have no connection to the party and they show up at events, requiring transportation of hundreds of miles, I always think they’re working for somebody.”

He added, “I’m a big believer that Putin has not let off the gas. Anyone who thinks Putin would not be interfering with future elections needs to have their head examined.”

It appears that when average, working class people participate in Democracy, the political insiders just Freak The Fuck Out!

Earlier Friday, Mulholland sent a separate email to Perez and Ellison in which he compared the push to diminish the clout of superdelegates to the violent suppression of the civil rights movement. In the email, first reported on by The Washington Post, Mulholland affixed a photo of police beating Rep. John Lewis (D-Ga.) during the 1965 voting rights march in Selma, Alabama.

“Now I understand that the two of you are conspiring with Bernie Sanders to block Congress members John Lewis (see photo of police beating Lewis), Maxine Waters, Barbara Lee and the rest of the congressional delegation, Governors, State Party Chairs and the rest of us DNC Members from entering our Convention floor in 2020 as voters,” he wrote. “I don’t know if you will have paid thugs at the doorways to beat up Congressman Lewis and the rest of us or not.”

Mulholland sounds like a right-wing snowflake.
Selina Vickers was a 2018 Democratic candidate for District 32 of the West Virginia House of Delegates, and missed making the runoff by about 50 votes.

Bob Mulholland is the California Democratic Party's "senior advisor and long time chief spokesperson",[1] known[2] for intercepting registration cards of voters who had reregistered Green Party, and sending them back with a letter on state Democratic Party letterhead asking the voter to reconsider the change of party.

Mulholland gained national attention for involvement in the Bruce Hershenson vs. Barbara Boxer campaign. Mulholland leaked a rumor that Hershenson was into porn and frequented a porn shop.[citation needed] Mulholland was fired by the Democratic party, but then rehired weeks after Boxer won. He is also known for his work to block a 2007 censure resolution against California Senator Dianne Feinstein for her vote to support the nomination of Judge Michael Mukasey as United States Attorney General without a vote. He is quoted as saying "It is going to be thrown out and rejected. Sometimes people can't anticipate or can't understand the big picture

@humphrey did not say, but I wonder if he's related to whoever Mulholland Drive in LA was named after. Wouldn't be shocked in the least. I don't know who the namesake is, but I'd imagine a wealthy plutocrat.

Of course, I can see his point...in a nation where nearly everyone is broke, due to their overt actions to utterly destroy the wealth of the average person, I can see how he would be mystified at Vickers being able to scrape up $210 bucks; someone just HAD to have given her that money, because nobody (except for their special friends) should have any kind of cash lying around. Yep, had to be a Putin check, drawn against Bank of Russia!

The narrative is full blown stupid at this point.

...and why do we want them in office?

The Democratic party once represented the working class. But over the last three decades the party has been taken over by Washington-based fundraisers, bundlers, analysts, and pollsters who have focused instead on raising campaign money from corporate and Wall Street executives and getting votes from upper middle-class households in “swing” suburbs.

Democrats have occupied the White House for 16 of the last 24 years, and for four of those years had control of both houses of Congress. But in that time they failed to reverse the decline in working-class wages and economic security. Both Bill Clinton and Barack Obama ardently pushed for free trade agreements without providing millions of blue-collar workers who thereby lost their jobs means of getting new ones that paid at least as well.

2000 for Hillary's senate seat? Why are un-elected people in charge of the Democratic party? The Democratic party needs to either be run democratically or switch names to the Hypocrisy party, although maybe the GOP already has dibs on that name.

Obama is also working behind the scenes to make sure that the DP doesn't move too far to the left. This is why Perez was installed over Ellison. Totally created by Obama.

Then there's all of the rest of the people who have always worked in the background and deciding on what they are going to do. Getting rid of Pelosi and Schumer is like painting over a moldy wall. The rot needs to be cut out before you can rebuild the wall. Good luck getting this to happen.

were supposed to have been officially pried out of office, it's been evident that previous Admin members seem to ever more visibly remain still actively involved in the US government, working together toward that global domination thing.

It initially became noticeable, to me anyway, with mentions being noted of Cheney, Rumsfeld and the rest spoken of, here and there, in the corporate media as though, despite being (finally) out of public office, having some right to background-meddle in the US public business, but painfully obvious with the Clintons, Obamas and others among the other clearly corrupt 'permanent insiders', not just of government they may no longer hold any official position in, but of the long-running global web with which they plan to snare and smother a world. Facilitated in great part by their recycling of corrupt officials such as Mueller...

are still actively involved in running the government. Albright and her fellow sociopaths are all in the Atlantic Council. Most of the people who wrote the PNAC's goals in the Middle East all withdrew their support for the Republican Party when it was clear that Trump was going to win the nomination. They threw their support behind Herheinous because they knew that she would continue their goals in the Middle East just like Obama did. The only person we haven't heard much from is good ole Dick Cheney, but I'm sure that he isn't resting his tired bones at his ranch in Wyoming.

for much of a public spokesperson role, perhaps preferring such as his role as Wormtongue, immediately stepping in to advise the brand-spandy new Trump Admin, Pence certainly initially playing the role of 'Grasshopper' to his mentor, who wishes to emulate as Vice President. Being the hidden source of the orders odour behind the Porcelain Throne, so to speak.

The late great Sheldon Wolin called the Democratic Party "The Inauthentic Opposition Party." Pretty good if you ask me. Of course, these days the adjective "fake" is rather trendy, so that's good enough. They are fake and they are inauthentic. In spades.

You quoted Mr. Mulholland:

But he said that “when people show up who have no connection to the party and they show up at events, requiring transportation of hundreds of miles, I always think they’re working for somebody.”

He added, “I’m a big believer that Putin has not let off the gas. Anyone who thinks Putin would not be interfering with future elections needs to have their head examined.”

This is nearly a textbook example of clinical projection

Who are you working for, Mr. Mulholland?

Maybe there is a Democratic Party strategist somewhere working on the next can't miss campaign slogan:

The Democratic Party. Because Putin has not let off the gas. I'm a Corporate Stooge and I approved this message because you need to have your head examined if you think Putin is not interfering in our elections. Paid for by some vaguely sounding progressive organization funded by the Kock Brothers.

That ought to bring in the Indies and other disaffected Putin Bots (Progressive Dems).
