“No Russia, no world!” - FULL MOVIE: WORLD ORDER 2018

"World Order 2018" is a new documentary movie by TV host, Vladimir Soloviev, in which he discusses with Russia's President Putin all the major events of the past few years; the Syrian situation, the destruction of the Middle East, the expansion of NATO, the immigration crisis in Europe, the destabilisation of Eastern Ukraine and the situation in Crimea, US-Russian relations, and of course the nuclear arms race. They also touch on topics rarely answered by world leaders - the eradication of national identities, the re-writing of history, and the essence of the Holocaust.

The film is 1.5 hours long, so make sure you put some time aside, instead of your next Netflix doco! If you're specifically looking for the quote in the title - it's at 1:22:00.

I'll check it out. Also, the Khodorkovsky movie has finally been uploaded to YouTube. It came out in 2011 and I've been looking for it ever since. It was uploaded in December.

Wasn't he one of the oligarchs in Russia who was trying to get into politics and run against Putin's party? If I remember correctly, the western media coverage on him was very sympathetic

Khodorkovsky made his fortune, like all the other oligarchs, in dubious privatization deals. He ended up controlling an oil company called Yukos which he was trying to sell to ExxonMobil. He was one of the Yeltsin-era Neoliberals with close ties to Western capital. And yes, he was also trying to get into politics, against Putin's warning, so they threw him in the slammer.

men were, literally, raping and pillaging Russia during the 1990's at the fall of the USSR. Girls as young as 13-14 were turning tricks on the streets and in the hundreds of bars that had sprung up in 1990's Moscow in order to support their families. Wages of the ordinary people were going unpaid by the new owners of the previously state owned companies. This situation was a result of the US government engineered "privatization" plan for Russia.

The Yukos Case

In 1995 and 1996 a handful of oligarchs took control of Yukos, a vast Russian energy company with huge oil and gas reserves. They achieved control by paying $600m to the government officials who were at that point running Yukos and managing the privatisation process, and by rigging the privatisation auctions. The Yukos oligarchs then went on to evade billions (USD) in tax by routing oil production through Russia’s low tax regions, despite having no operations in these places. When presented with a tax demand they rapidly shifted further Yukos cash into tax havens overseas, including by paying an unprecedented $2bn dividend to themselves. Following this Yukos went into liquidation.

The Yukos oligarchs’ notorieties were widely reported in the international press at the time, for example in “The Khodorkovsky Affair”, Wall Street Journal and in “Putin’s Plutocrat Problem”, Foreign Affairs.

In 2005, by way of arbitration proceedings instituted in The Hague, the Yukos oligarchs, acting through three offshore companies controlled by Group Menatep Limited (GML), claimed that Yukos was misappropriated by Russia in a politically motivated move. In 2014 they were awarded an unprecedented $50bn by an arbitral tribunal comprising three arbitrators – an amount equivalent to more than 20% of the Russian government‘s annual spending budget in 2016. These awards were overturned by the Dutch court in 2016.
...
The Yukos oligarchs’ assets today are held not only in Dutch Stichtings – financial trusts that shield the assets from the oligarchs’ tax liabilities to Russia – but they are also invested in real estate around the world and held in bank accounts in tax havens.

You can now see why London will protect these thieves. They are part of the reason the City of London is so wealthy. There are oligarchs from the ME, Africa, Asia who have been welcomed here with their ill gotten gains.

Film review: Khodorkovsky
A film about Russian oligarch Mikhail Khodorkovsky is surprising in its frankness, says Philip Dodd
March 1, 2012

A film about Russian oligarch Mikhail Khodorkovsky is surprising in its frankness,
...
The first private investment bank in Soviet Russia is started by people who do not know what a chequebook is; the mayor of Yugansk who stands in the way of an oil company's interests is murdered; members of the Komsomol, the Young Communist League, metamorphose into capitalists for whom the adjective "casino" is an understatement; an owner of the Russian oil giant Yukos becomes the richest person in the world under 40. Welcome to post-Soviet Russia, a country that it would take the combined genius of Gogol and Tolstoy to represent; this is the Russia that helped to bring Vladimir Putin to power.
...
But what Tuschi has done - and it is gripping - is to coax from Khodorkovsky's former colleagues, many of whom now live abroad, from London to Tel Aviv, and from others in the Russian elite, confessions that lay bare just how the oligarchs carved up Russia, hand in hand with the state. The film is structured much like a documentary version of Conrad's Heart of Darkness, where the reader is given many incommensurable versions of Kurtz. Versions of Khodorkovsky abound in the film: he has stolen millions from the Russian people, says one; another, that his company carried out the murder of the Yugansk mayor; yet another, that he is a brave man who could have evaded arrest by fleeing abroad but chose not to do so, maybe because he had to purge his earlier crimes or sins.

In the end, near the film's close, we encounter the man himself. Tuschi is granted a 10-minute interview in Siberia, after the second trial, with Khodorkovsky in a glass cage. But by then it is impossible to see the elegant, wry man in front of us without seeing that in all his contradictoriness this oligarch gathers up inside him the history of post-Soviet Russia. Hannah Arendt once spoke of the banality of evil. Khodorkovsky shows us the banality of cancerous corruption. Putin will win, say the polls.

who knows if any of it is sticking to it because everything is so damn vague, yet any bets that you will hear people repeat these accusations?

The Latest on U.S.-imposed sanctions against Russia and accusations that Moscow conducted an operation to hack and spy on the U.S. energy grid and other critical infrastructure

The Homeland Security Department says a Russian government hacking operation has affected the U.S. nuclear, aviation, water, construction and manufacturing sectors.

The department's U.S. Computer Emergency Readiness Team says the operation targeted smaller American commercial facilities. The operation is said to have resorted to various methods — including a kind of cyberattack known as spear-phishing — to try to compromise legitimate user accounts, gather user credentials, and target industrial control systems and their networks.

The officials briefed reporters on condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive national security information

What a surprise!

Now that Trump has accessed sanction on Russia for interfering with the election will this get people to stop saying that he is Putin's puppet? Of course not. We have been down this well trodden path before haven't we?

British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson said Russia targeted Skripal — a former Russian intelligence officer convicted of spying for Britain — to make it clear that those who defy the Russian state deserve to "choke on their own 30 pieces of silver."

"The reason they've chosen this nerve agent is to show that it's Russia, and to show people in their agencies who might think of defecting or of supporting another way of life, of believing in an alternative set of values, that Russia will take revenge,

Hell, if you're going to make shit up, make it sound really good because what other motive could there be to accuse Russia of killing someone who they released from prison 8 years earlier?

and skilled Russian spies use phishing attacks to gain access to electrical grids and nuclear facilities.

They all dwell in igloos in Siberia and must be bombed back to the Ice Age before they swim their sled dogs across the ocean, and pour vodka into America's water supplies to get everyone blind drunk and miss the next election, creating a bad voter turn-out which will have nothing to do with the selected candidates.

Also, every President for whom a specifically Russian oligarch accused of being associated with an internet marketing firm has cooked is involved with Russian attempts to use time travel and puppy-pictures, which very few people actually saw, to cunningly influence an election, overcoming multi-billion-dollar advertising on the part of well-known and notoriously detested Presidential candidates to have the one with enough sense to lie to the people about doing something in the public interest, and big enough backers to get the Electoral College to switch sides, win.

Therefore this includes ex-President Bush, and it is with great sorrow that we order him to be strapped to the first nuclear missile we send off to Russia, strategically aimed at what we're renaming The Restaurant At The End Of The World, as we clear Life, The Universe And Everything out of the way for a new construction project.

Yes, we undercut the Vogans and got the contract! Man, we're going to make a killing off all this and all of the money in the world's going to pay for shares in that between-universes toll high-way! We get things done!

Psychopathy is not a political position, whether labeled 'conservatism', 'centrism' or 'left'.

A tin labeled 'coffee' may be a can of worms or pathology identified by a lack of empathy/willingness to harm others to achieve personal desires.
