A vignette, On Trial, poem

On trial

Coming with wind

from over mountain

cold blows

and coal damns children

Needing a room without idiots

intoxication and hypocrites

does Medicaid pay?

Playgrounds behind gates

grate

make bad laws

and, then, break them

never seeing bars

to wake them

On trial

beings loaned by universe

to this?

to death by spiral cuts

cosmo playing funny '

down by the river

Hang us high

saying "told you so"

wasteful ends running from fear

with so much dear blossoming

round the hanging tree

Faulkner lies dying

few are crying

But, all on trial

breathing power 4xa-day

probation,

maybe

On trial.

As is all good poetry. IMO. You paint a 3d picture with your words.

Cool.

@Raggedy Ann

couldn't sleep, car trouble on the mind, but by the magic of car forums and after three days searching, it was only a worn out piece of plastic on the clutch safety switch; fixed temporarily with plastic from my fishing tackle, happy day as wallet is empty. Smile

Thanks for reading!
