sweet water
in cool touches

Morning prose/theatre is in the music; hope you enjoy the play, “Become."

Happy Saturday morning smiley7 & everyone!
Enjoyed the music selection. Especially the Metallica arrangement. I listened to it a few times and must have turned it too loud as my neighbor came out of her duplex and slammed her door! The unwritten rule in the neighborhood is no noise before 9 a.m. Central time! Oh well everyone should be up enjoying this glorious morning. I wish I would have taken a picture of the moon at sunrise to share. Just a bright yellow sliver in a bath of orange and red. May everyone have a great day.
O.k. When is the next meeting for the revolution?

Morning WIProgressive
Glad you enjoyed the music. i like the Metallica arrangement, too. In our building on main, the upstairs neighbor and i have a noise agreement, when i turn it up, he bangs on the old stream pipe that runs openly down the inside building wall and i adjust down until he slightly taps. That usually happens late, late night, as otherwise, he's said before, that he "would complain more, but you play good music."
Good to see you and have a splendid day and weekend!
Good morning, smiley7. Feliz sabado. Thanks for the poetry,
art & music.

Big shout out and thanks to MarilynW for sharing her artwork
with us today! I love her work, especially her palette and clean designs. Remember when JtC used her work to introduce the weekend Evening Blues? Very grateful to her for making it possible to feature the work on OT Saturday.
muchas gracias for the smiley, el, hoping the sun shines bright on your day and weekend!
Thanks Smiley! I got here late
It's an honour to have my work near your poetry!
To thine own self be true.
Hi MarilynW...
no, the honor is mine and a pleasure, thank you.
Now that it is true daylight through the trees, lemony yellow
for the second day in a row. I think I am stuck @ home today, there was a Bobcat off into the woods on my driveway. The white kind. I am due to have all of my culverts dug out and reset with more gravel brought in. Very bad gully-wash this summer. I have primary power running down the center of the drive, plowed in with two phone lines. I will know if something Bad happens.
I saw my first turned leaf fall earlier. Autumn makes me regretful, especially this year after multiple health disasters. It was a summer of little heat here. And less up here in the hills.
I never imagined that I would become a fruit tea connoisseur. Trying out a black currant tea today, many honey overtones. I never use sweeteners. Blood orange tea is miraculous and hibiscus-red. Only one so far tastes like hay to me. I can blend that with something else. Who knew an ex-scientist would contine with experiments? That deserves a bland response.
Maybe the Bobcat can help plant a swamp oak that is still in its packing box but did leaf out. I am assisting trees moving north. Fast migration. That is how I attempt to alleviate CO2 buildup, plant more carbon-accumulating organisms. For inside, I got an olive tree. Now I want a fig tree for company as well. The olive needs up-potting. Pot and plant are together, paper-product "soil" is outside. Not sure if the fig comes with the wasp. I would like to be the elderly lady with weird fruits inside. Paw-paws made it through the second summer out. Still babies. Years before fruition. But bigger than the weeds. Except for some species of goldenrod.
Still not in sync with my house. But less than a week home. Steps made every day towards sync. I take my time.
Hey! my dear friends or soon-to-be's, JtC could use the donations to keep this site functioning for those of us who can still see the life preserver or flotsam in the water.
Good to see you riverlover...
Bobcats grow large up high, here, very large. Seen a few over the years, beautiful creatures.
Happy you are home and getting around and enjoying teas. Went fishing, yesterday, floating down the New River, leaves were falling. i feel winter is coming early to the high country this year.
Take good care and have a great day and weekend!
The Bobcats of which you speak

Nothing seems to be happening today.

And yes the Bobcat is the kind that moves gravel and culverts

Coyotes are the norm in my area.
Fox began migrating back into the area about 40 years ago. And 20 years ago everyone thought I was nuts when I saw an armadillo in the area. Lately I've seen armadillo roadkill as far north as Topeka. A year or so ago, driving through the park, I looked down the creek and thought, "damn, that Chihuahua can swim!" So I got out of the truck for a better look. When it got closer I realized it was a river otter. Checking on the internet it seems otters left Kansas in the 1800s until a 'family' was discovered in a KC park about a year earlier. Local news devoted nearly ten minutes to those otters.
Bobcats have never left. You rarely see them, but you hear them and see their prints.

Morning Smily and all
Lazy day at the beach today. Doin nuthin.
Update on that boobie from last week: Seems the crew here found him injured on the beach.
It had a fishing hook stuck in it's beak and a rats nest of fishing line in it's stomach. All removed he hung around for the day before feeling well enough to move on.
Nice 'multi-media' essay tthis morning smiley.
have a great day all.
I want a Pony!
Happy the boobie recovered...
nice story.
Good to see you, as always, enjoy the waves and sun
Enjoyed this post so much ...
Lovely art by MarilynW. Moving.
As for the music ... this is my music. Listened to all of it very early this morning. The artists were all new to me so it was wonderful to be introduced.
This was my recital piece when I was 19.

Love these guys.
Hope you all are having a great weekend.

I love your artwork. Especially the around-the-corner view.
I have around-the-corner and down-the-stairs views here. So lonely and yet so occupied by memories. A painting would include zooming kids.

Afternoon Marilyn...
Thanks for the lovely piano music and the 2 Cellos. Several c99ers are or once were piano players. My fingers have long forgotten most i knew in youth.
Glad you enjoyed MarilynW's work and am thankful she shares it here.
Hoping your weekend is delightful!
Good afternoon, Smiley! Agree with RL, lovely art. Same
for the poetry and music. Unfortunately, will have to bookmark your excellent work, and listen to the videos incrementally, due to a hectic week coming up, and preparation needed for the tasks at hand. You know that piano is one of my favorite instruments.
When we get back, I look forward to advocating for an amendment which would expand and improve our current Medicare system. I'm definitely open to eliminating our 'for-profit' health care system, but would like to see the basic structure of our 1960's program remain in place, since it has a proven overhead of only about 2-3%.
BTW, kudos to MarilynW for the striking and interesting artwork!
Have a good rest of your weekend!
Mollie

Hi Mollie...
totally agree about keeping "Traditional Medicare," its singular administration makes it work.
yes, to the piano, do recall it's a favorite. Hoping you get some good down time before your hectic weeks begins. i've had a quiet day for the most part, good weather. Did have one long afternoon phone call of importance in a very complicated matter that needs resolving, so my week may also be a stressful one, as well. Tomorrow i have a late afternoon meet-up with friends to take my mind off things.
A good nite to you and companions and thanks for being here.
