I just voted in ILLINOIS!

According to the early poll workers, turn out has been brisk. Of the 20 or so people there, I'd say 3/5s were voting GOP, but this is the reddest part of Cook County (SW suburb). During the times that I was an election judge here, Shrub won by a huge margin, and Obama was only a couple of hundred short in 2008. (That was a moral victory, given the number of churches within one mile (12) vs. the number of bars (2). I did not realize that when I moved here.)

Anyway, Bernie got a vote today. So did Andrea Zopp for the senate nom. I respect Tammy Duckworth, she has had a rough life with her legs blown off, but she is rather conservative. I have known Andrea for 30+ years. Smart. Honest. Full of integrity. Fair.

By the bye, Cook COunty Illinois has a computerized voting system. BUT they also print a paper trail of each and every vote, so you see what exactly will be cast when you press the vote button. A very secure system, but for any machinations along the lines of Stalin (it matters not who votes. It only matters who counts the votes).

Funny, For a republican stronghold deep inside a Democratic county (Chicago's) , I did not see one sign for Hillary. Not a one. Several Berning posters, though.

Funnier, I saw no GOP signs anywhere. I wonder what that means.

Please chime in and describe your state (absentee? Early? Post-GOP vote stealing? Voter suppression? bad Diaboldical equipment?)

Thanks. I would suspect a lot of people in Chicago will vote against Hilary because of her close ties to Rahm Emanuel.

and they all assume that Billary will run away with it. But the Rahm factor is huge in Chicago. People hate him more than senators hate Cruz. I do not think that enough time has passed since Rahm's effort at a coverup became news. Or his unceremonious firing of the police chief. Or his charter school bull. Or his acting as arrogant and above the rest of us as he was in the White House.

Another month? People might forget. But this is still a hot subject. I see it biting Rahm, and therefore biting Hillary in the ass.
