The yammering on Fox has focused on the question of Who was Running the Country while Sleepy Joe Had His Head Up His Ass? I go in the opposite direction as I contend that nobody is POTUS as imagined by the Punditocracy as the lonely soul with the Awesome Power to Push The Button Down and to issue Executive Orders on a whim.

It would indeed be insane to give The Button to mentally weird characters like Second Term Ronald Reagan or Shrub or Trump or Sleepy Joe.

Our Permanent Government is crazy, IMHO, but not that suicidal.

I contend that the government runs itself while managing politics and journalism with its invisible hand.

Far fetched? Nothing is too weird to be true any more.
