@boriscleto And the river is rocking before the falls. Wonderful pix. I had not heard about the LED lights. Might as well celebrate the Upper Lakes falling into the Lower Lakes in style.

I have yet to see a butterfly, but rain and disability.

@janis b @janis b Connected by robe bridges and ladders. The manor house was opposite. Further on was the pond with cabins and a general store. Unfortunately there wasn't much in bloom outside except for daffodils.

I'm going to suggest to my local photo meetup group that we make a day trip this summer...

Trinidad beach rocks

Trinidad is located close to the border with Oregon and I spent two weeks camping in Eureka and took a lot of day trips around the area.

I wanted to go down to the beach in the first picture but I couldn't find a way down from where I was.
There is a lighthouse to the left of where I took the photos but it's not in my photo library.
You are right about how wonderful the area is. One side is the beaches and the other side is the redwoods.
This is at Lady Bird Johnson state park

And you are right that most of the Oregon coast more rough but there's a beach outside Coos bay that is tranquil.
I can't wait to get back to the California coast. First stop is Bodega bay, Mendocino, Eureka and Patrick's point state park with a small camping trailer and my dawgs.
I used to have nightmares about moving back to Utah and they came true.
Utah has some incredible areas such as the Uintah mountains and the southern part of the state has gorgeous rock formations, but the great salt lake is nothing like the ocean.

but here you are, hello!

We navigated the flooding without having to resort to canoes, even though at times the car was useless. Maybe I should have one as an alternative. I used to love canoeing, only not out of necessity.

I hope all is well with you too.
