Hello everybody!
It's been a while since I hosted a live blog and despite my better judgement I am going to watch the debate tonight, and rant my butt off most likely, with everyone here. 
I'll be present for the duration of the debates provided I don't render myself unconscious due to repeatedly banging my head on the keyboard over the extreme idiocy and arrogance we will surely be subjected to for 90 straight minutes.
The only saving grace is maybe we will see a slow motion train wreck in action.

Tonight's debate is almost too surreal and disturbing for me
to watch. Like a bad nightmare. Like a never-ending horror show.
Well, there's also this way to look at it. Since OWS I've been saying what this somnambulant nation needs more than anything is a catacylsmic event. Thought it would be another financial crash, which is never far from being a reality since Obama, Holder and Congress kicked the can down the road. But it just might be people waking up tonight to how much they truly hate these two odious, inveterate liars; these two corrupt, arrogant and pompous multi-millionaires, and start asking, "how did we here?" (cue Talking Heads "Once In a Lifetime"). THIS, might finally get the ball rolling.
Who's on the TYT panel tonight? I would consider watching if they had their best panelists (John, Ana and Jimmy Dore).

Not sure who is on TYT tonight, Cenk's Kool-aid imbibing
has reached levels that I just can't handle.
I still respect him, I just think he is completely wrong on getting on the Clinton Bandwagon.
Jimmy is rapidly becoming my favorite from the network though, I still watch his show pretty frequently, but Uyugr has become too much of an apologist and his over the top yelling tends to over-drive my speakers far too frequently.
I may open it up though to watch what Jimmy has to say, and I will have the Democracy Now site open as well to show some love to Amy.

Figure maybe I might come back to them after the elections, but as of now they aren't saying anything worth hearing that they haven't already said about Trump a hundred times already. I was starting to wonder if they were going to talk about anything other than Trump being awful for a while. I mean, it's alright when Cenk's not behind the desk, but I think he's too into the idea of being some kind of left-wing hero to be an effective journalist at this time.
Jimmy seems to be the best host they've got. He's actually able to make humor work when he's talking about stuff.

If we could take this election season and show it to ourselves from even 20 years ago I think we likely would smack ourselves in the face for letting shit get this bad. {sigh}
I think I am now at the acceptance stage on the grieving for the loss of our nation to the oligarchs. I honestly believe we may already be at the point where nothing short of violent, mass scale demonstrations and insurrection are the only tools available that we have left for inducing a shift in the balance of power.

Enjoying it? Why, you ask? Because it's not the debate the Democrats expected. They thought they'd be sitting on a 15 point landslide, with record turnout. How would Hillary have behaved in that debate? By belittling Trump at every turn, mocking him, making every question into a coup de grace.
But now they are neck-and-neck, and she has to give him the reverence that he so much does not deserve. She can't do the coup de grace thing because she'll come across as an arrogant bitch. The whole night will be a struggle to contain her ever mounting frustration. Yuck yuck yuck.

I have C-Span on - it's difficult to watch and listen
in three different windows.

Yeah, that can be tough. My little trick for it is to use a set
of headphones, channel one audio feed to those and the other to my main speakers.
I then put them on my head cocked so that I have one headphone earpiece in one ear and the main audio feed in the other.
It takes a lot of practice, but with a bit of work (and a messed up mind that seems to be able to multi-channel stuff like this, Benefit of ADD maybe? lol!) you can train yourself to follow two different sources of info at the same time.
It really just boils down to being able to tune out the other source for the one that you want to pay particular attention to at that moment while still having the other available to your memory if you need it. (A skill most successfully married men probably have to one degree or another, lol!)

Donald said we need to renegotiate the trade agreements. Basically said that politicians should have but haven't had the balls to do so. Hillary said nothing.
Donald is coming across well, and I'm not a Trump supporter.

I disagree. the best (?) moments came during the rebuttals
to the rebuttal. Hillary looked a trained ventriloquists dummy--bad retorts. Trump resisted the secret weapon, not so secret, of her endangering national security through her treasonous exposure of national security information plus per incredibly poor judgement to sent a laptop through the mail with secret and perhaps top-secret info on it--now said computer cannot be found.
As much as I dislike Donald, he maintained his composure. As other have pointed out above, H. sounded as weak as Obama.
