Another Clinton brainstorm!
It has been a contest in which the only losers will be the 99%. 2016 will go down in history as the most inept, let alone corrupt, campaign since before the Civil War. I don't know how many times Trump's loose tongue, which is obviously detached from his cognitive faculties, has said the most stupid, unnecessarily inflammatory things. But this essay does not focus on Mr. Drumpf.
Hillary, whom I often lovingly refer to as Medusa (or sometimes, less lovingly as snake head) has run a gem of a campaign. In defiance of the adage "you can't polish a turd" HRC is still attempting to do this.
In brief, because most of 99ers know these facts already:
1. Pre-election rigging of the DNC, through the agency of the PayDay Pal, Debbie Wasserman Schultz. This was confirmed by recent Wikileaks
2. Outright and plainly visible cheating in NY, CA, TN, NV, AZ and probably other states
3. Smears against Bernie both contemplated (he's a Jew--or an atheist--which will voters dislike more?)
4. Smears against Bernie, such as his "tone", sexism
5. Blatant Bernie Avoidance Syndrome by MSM--that made CNN (Clinton News Network) to ignore a protest of 1000s outside their very own headquarters
6. Paid media trolls hired by straight-shooting David Brock (his aim being trained solely against Bernie--not GOP)
7. Disrespecting hundreds of Sanders delegates at the CONvention
8. Refusing to allow Bernie's choice of placing his name in nomination, Nina Turner from speaking.
Probably there are other issues overlooked in my catalogue.
But now "the woman who is so smart" has selected a right-winger as her running mate. Yes, HRC, the putative champion of women's right has nominated not only a self-admittedly boring campaigner but one who continues to support the Hyde amendment. The Hyde amendment prohibits federal funding for abortion services except within very narrow limits. One of Hillary's selling points was full support for abortion rights.
So my question is this, in the spirit of WhichHillary, is she so funcking stupid that she didn't vet her VP choice properly or has she really shown her true colors on women's rights.
Whatever her reasoning, this anti-woman stance must be advertised broadly, so that the people who intend voting for her because she is a woman, might think twice about their choice. Want to vote for a woman? Vote for Jill Stein.

True colors.
And NOT in the good way.

I do not pretend I know what I do not know.
She has shown her true colors
In fact, she did so a while ago, when she weaseled and waffled on the question of late-term abortions, and let it be known that she was "open to" further restrictions "as long as" there were "provisions" for the life and health of the woman.
This was during one of those far too few head-to-head debates, and where she took a paragraph or two to mouth meaningless platitudes (with veiled hints that no, she really wasn't so committed to women's rights as all that), Bernie Sanders answered flatly and forthrightly that he was in favor of abortion rights, PERIOD.
Too bad it was deliberately scheduled so that hardly anybody would be watching.
There is no justice. There can be no peace.
Unless the subject of pageantry,
she does to like to appear on stage. And questions? Never, unless pre-screened. What presidential material.

*No* press conferences??? — anyone who believes in a free press
ought to find that a deal-breaker.
Especially in combination with the refusal to face unscripted questions in any public venue.
Hmmm ... wonder who was responsible for the scheduling??

Would never do it.

Triangulator-in-Chief
I wasn't aware of that one. Just goes to show there is no issue too important to triangulate. Gotta be some swing voter in there she can win over somewhere - at least that is way the Hillary brain works.
Another vote for TRUE COLORS

It's time to say goodbye. They cannot win without us. Blame the super-delegates.

Or this
True Colors for the poll. However, I would not
use the word "true" with anything that had to do with HRC. For anyone familiar with the Lord of the Rings, when the wizard Saruman showed his "true colors," it was found that his raiment shifted colors so that it looked white, but it wasn't.

just go to Isengard and turn the Ring of Power over to Saruman,
because no one in the history of Middle Earth had ever been
as qualified as Saruman to lead the free peoples of Middle Earth,
and besides, he was tired of hearing about Saruman’s
private palantir in the cellar in Orthanc and all the unfounded
reports Sauron was controlling Saruman by having hacked it.

The woman has no convictions, regardless of what
her daughter insisted. Every decision she makes is smothered with expedience. You can't say you've cared about women and children for YOUR WHOLE LIFE, and then encourage a vote to take away money, food, and medical care from millions of women and children. And then when you realize you've taken medical care away from children, you pat yourself on the back for "passing the CHIP bill" when you know it was introduced and supported in the Senate by the senator who for more than 40 years worked on getting healthcare for everyone----the late Sen Ted Kennedy. No, Hillary, you didn't pass the CHIP bill. In fact, you supported taking health insurance away from children----expedience, her specialty.
Of course she has convictions....
1. It's her turn.
2. Most people are little people.
3. She can get away with anything.
4. She's willing to say whatever's expedient.
5. Whatever she wants to be true, is true.
She is always right, and if she's wrong, read the previous rule AGAIN.

I suggest HRC lacks convictions because she hasn't (and won't)
faced a judge & jury. Expecting those other kinds of convictions from either Clinton is like expecting lionesses not to hunt.

I have my own
experience with the Hyde Amendment, let's just say I oppose it for personal reasons. When $Hills said, not once, but many times she was open to regulations on late term abortions, I said deal breaker. And Planned Parenthood endorses her, and Naral(?) also. I can't understand it. Genuinely. I'm a Guy, ffs, and I can see more chipping away at Roe v Wade and they can't? Someone help me understand this, please?

There's nothing to understand, imho
PP and NARAL are not purists. I presume they are where they are for political expediency - Clinton certainly is.
I wrote about it once, I think at TOP, maybe 2x after I saw the debate where that came out. I was shocked. Floored. Having initiated what I knew was going to be a pregnancy I might not survive, this topic is one quite dear to my heart. Older and Wiser Now wrote some very moving pieces there and copied here (or vice versa). She got heartily panned over there.
Bernie's much more practical - you support the woman to have freedom to do what she needs to take care of herself. That's it. Clinton has pretty well invited the R's to do more restriction.I wouldn't be surprised if she wrote more her own self. She could give a shit about the realities women/families face - it's all political expediency. She's an enormously judgmental person.

Not Purists Is An Understatement
To me, it's absolutely inexcusable that NARAL and PP very early on endorsed the anti-choice candidate over the actual pro-choice candidate. I don't care how much Clinton pressured and threatened them. I suspect the tipping point was not threats, but the fact they're all in the same social circle of rich white women. Doesn't Richards' daughter work for Clinton, like Joan Walsh's daughter does?
And then to reward their loyalty, she puts an even more overtly anti-choice man on the ticket with her. Forget it, Jake. It's Clintontown.
On this one
we have to be purists. A woman's decision in consultation with dr,/family, or not. But the Woman's decision. One of the few things I completely agree with Bill Maher on, "On damand, late term, at the drive through at McDonalds". Ain't nobody's business but my own.

Does she really have a color?
Chameleons are able to change color to face their threat. She's damn good at that and deciding which way the wind blows. I prefer her in black and white which are not true colors.
She thinks in black and white. Cold war. Communist threat. McCarthyism.
The internet has aged better than she has and many of us remember or have studied history. That ole clap-trap about "We have nothing to fear", is ancient history to her.
The Clinton
familysyndicate thrives off of fear, war and greed. Their only true color is green.Regardless of the path in life I chose, I realize it's always forward, never straight.
Lol, I don't think that Jill
Lol, I don't think that Jill would allow Hillary in the Green party. Psychopaths just wouldn't fit in, no matter what she painted herself as. Perhaps the problem is that she's no real colour and nothing but an ego and a greed?
Psychopathy is not a political position, whether labeled 'conservatism', 'centrism' or 'left'.
A tin labeled 'coffee' may be a can of worms or pathology identified by a lack of empathy/willingness to harm others to achieve personal desires.
The Clinton Syndicate
Yes! This:
The Clinton Syndicate.
That's exactly what it is. Hope you don't mind if I borrow that phrase ... or if we all borrow it.
she's a professional politician
she's whoever she's supposed to be for a particular audience, and she's generic or center right for any kind of bigger crowd, such as, say, a TV audience. (Consumers of corporate media see center right as standard, normal or default) Same deal as Rmoney, and every bit as genuine. "Etch a sketch" fits her fine as well.
She chose him to appeal to Republicans.
She's not even bothering to pander to Berners or other liberals. One wonder why she wants to attract Republicans to vote for her. These "Clinton Republicans" will go back to voting Republican once a center-left Democratic presidential nominee shows up on the scene. Is the Clinton campaign afraid that they are going to lose to Trump, or is there another reason for attracting the likes of the Chamber of Commerce to the Democratic side?
They know they have the Left in the bag.
The Left will whine and complain and vote for her because Trump. She can kick the Left all she wants and you will vote for her anyway and talk about 2020. Rinse and repeat. In 2020 you will talk about 2024.
I've seen lots of changes. What doesn't change is people. Same old hairless apes.
I think the plan is to never let that happen again, as the
parties realign. The GOP will become the crazy fringe Tea Partiers and the left will just be left out leaving all the "adults" in the center-right to do the bidding of the 1%.

That VP pick may be her down fall.
Should she get elected. This guy would be a republican prize if they could manage to get rid of her. I think that's a given since they are already revving up.
It's the VP pick that has me smacking my head
In 8 years Tim Kaine is supposed to be the torchbearer for the new Democratic standard.

Her VP pick portends her SOCTUS picks
I believe showcasing her pitiful VP pick is a good argument to use against those who throw up the "But, but, but ... what about the Supreme Court?"
She has basically chosen a Republican as her running mate; you can be assured she will make a similar choice for a Supreme Court justice. Gawd knows what her cabinet would consist of - she'd probably choose people left over from George W's administration ... oh, wait.
You've got a point there
If Hillary wanted to avoid impeachment hearings she should have picked Elizabeth Warren. More hubris.

Life is strong. I'm weak, but Life is strong.
She's courting disaffected rethugs...
and doesn't give a damn about the progressives. She thinks she can win without us because well...T-RUMP!
We'll see. Remember there are more red states than blue and each SoS controls the voting and voter rolls. Plus the Rethugs are better cheaters.
“Until justice rolls down like water and righteousness like a mighty stream.”
They *have been* better cheaters
But the Dumps got a lot of hands-on practice during the primary, so it's not as hopelessly uneven as it used to be.
