The People's Convention Will Be Televised (that is, Live Streamed)!

Hi everyone. Yes, we will be live streaming The People's Convention on Saturday, July 23rd from Philly, and everyone watching can vote for each plank in our platform. Here si how to do it: go to our website for details.

We will be streaming the Peoples's Platform ratification all day Saturday right here at this page, and we're counting on your participation. Voting will be conducted by text message.

To vote, text @PlatformVote to the number 23559. This is a free service, but your regular text messaging charges may apply. The voting period will be open for 5 minutes.

We have 3 rooms in the Arch Street Meeting House. Our People’s Platform will be ratified in The West room. The East room will be the location of our World Cafe and an hour of black-led programming. The East room is the only place where food and drinks are allowed. Workshops will be held in the monthly meeting room.

Nina Turner and Jill Stein should speak around 3:30-4:30 pm, assuming we keep on schedule.

Tomorrow my daughter and I will travel to Philadelphia. Not sure how much I will be able to post here, but I will try to tweet from the events I attend at my Twitter page: Steven Searls @StevenBDT . If I have wifi access I may try to post here if I can or on my YouTube channel. Wish me luck.

And if by chance you're in Philadelphia on Saturday, please stop by our convention at The Arch Street Meeting House, 320 Arch Street, Philadelphia and look me up. I will be heading up our Press team, and thanks to my photo above, and the obligatory lanyard around my neck, hopefully I will be easy enough to spot. Would love to meet any and all of my fellow C99ers and/or exiled Kossacks there! Or if you can;t make that, there's our after party at The Independence Beer Garden a few blocks from our venue at 100 S Independence Mall West Philadelphia, PA 19106 (beginning sometime around 5:15 or so!

If anyone going has Comcast Internet at home,

if you don't already know this, wherever there is Xfinitywifi, you can log in and have access to that wifi.

Xfinity wifi is available many places in and around Philly, so make sure you know/take your UID and password to sign in.

Speaking of conventions, Republican that is . . .

This is a picture of the police gathered there.

The location is Public Square in Cleveland. The camera is looking north. At the right side of the picture and going south is Ontario St. About 2 blocks south of the Square on Ontario is the Center where the convention is being held.

BTW, some have commented on twitter that not all of these police are from Ohio. Another said that more police had been added, with weapons drawn and ready.

If you look really carefully, you can see a row of civilians at the very back, possibly protesters, greatly outnumbered by police.

According to local news

Police are here from departments in other states. Some mentioned California. Today's news had officers on horseback from Ft. Worth.

Not sure what that's about or who is paying for it, but assume its at taxpayer expense.

Will they be streaming/broadcasting Sanders' events

besides his speech? He has got a YUGE gathering w/all his 1900+ delegates before the Convention starts on Monday. My friend who is the WHIP for the FL Berner supporters is praying that he doesn't release them. She said Facebook would be a source. Are there any others?
