and nominate Bernie. James Comey irreparably damaged Hillary Clinton and she is no longer effective against Trump. We all fear Trump. For the good of America, Hillary should concede to Bernie or if she will not, then the supers should vote for Bernie. If this does not happen, we will leave on August 2."

if we have the power to leave this wretched Party on our own?

No offense to scout618, I sincerely hope none is taken. But I see no good reason to give Ohio a general idea of how many ballots someone might have to fix for that woman on the back end of the ballot-counting servers. Fuck 'em, anyway. It'll be their November Surprise, when they see how many there are going to be...

There is no real formal "exiting" of a political party. One simply goes and changes ones registration with the state (assuming you aren't in Vermont) Since we now know most states haven't got a clue who is or is not in a party (see voter registration BS) how else do you let them know?

So the petition, I assume (I know nothing of it) is a letter telling the Democratic Party/bigwigs that you are leaving them and why.

Of course, ideally, one would also be able to get on a "Do not call begging for money" list as well. You can, however, opt out of their email lists, in theory, eventually.

We do not have party registration here either. For the primaries, I walked in and told them which ballot I wanted Rep or Dem.

It's actually a very nicely done statement. And it definitely has a FU component to it.

…better be in there: No Confidence.

It's a term people use the world over to signal distress to one another.

A "No Confidence" vote from the people forces current leaders to step down. It really does.

But then, displeased and suffering citizens wouldn't be forced to vote for the marginally less bad candidate and help solidify the powder of the new aristocracy, so it won't happen, at least not without a fight.

with actual numbers? Especially to a state where we know vote rigging was going on?

I can write a GFY letter all by myself, know what I mean?

Not saying Ohio is the only state rigging the vote, I live in Kansas, they're just more open and least ashamed. I can see both being equally effective: mass signatures on a petition or massive numbers of individual notifications. Though either way numbers are indicated. I don't think it matters much, though, as the real fudging is done last minute at polls. Keep shifting as votes come in, announce around 50%, fiddle the rest to match your numbers.
OK, '04 turned me into a cynic, this go-round turned me super-cynical.

There is no such thing as TMI. It can always be held in reserve for extortion.

thanks for clarity on that. Of course it's not just Ohio, but this request just immediately struck me as "somebody sent out a link with good intentions, but the intentions behind it are not good at all". Because what are you actually petitioning for?

You've already got the power to do what's being asked of you. It doesn't need to be petitioned for at all. Honestly--and I can't stress this enough--I do not believe our poster of this here has bad intentions at all, in posting this request. But something smells extremely rotten here to me at the link, and I wouldn't click and send to them if you paid me to do so.

Fuck 'em, they refused to take our word for it that we weren't going to vote for that woman--let 'em find out the hard way.
