Caucus Critters: Moondae Moppets: Black and White
Black and White Goes Together Beautifully!
Our animal world stands the hoomin world on its head. So since things have been a little tense between some blacks and some whites lately, we've been feeling some nostalgia for blacks and whites getting along. Enjoy!
But first, The Recommendations:
•Our intent is to create a safe place to relax and play; please use common sense and have fun.
•Share any and all pootie/woozle/furry/feathery/leathery photos or issues that you would like.
•When it comes to problems, we may just have someone with experience who can help.
•If you would like a pic from the posts, please ask the poster. He/she may have a copyright to those pics. Many thanks.
•We love critters, so any/all photos that encourage human violence against an animal will be frowned upon and considered out of bounds!
We'z a diverse group!
The world is black, the world is white (and brown)
It turns by day
And then by night
A child is black, a child is white
The whole world looks upon the sight
A beautiful sight
And now a Child can Understand
That this is the Law of all the Land
All the Land!

NOTE: Sorry about lateness and I hope the video sound is OK. No router yet and Kroger's Wi-Fi is SLOW!!

Nice to see you here
I'm not able to have a pet but I might be able to contribute a picture of some of the wildlife soon.
Thank you, ME! I try to be here every Monday at 5 PM Eastern
but the slow Wi-Fi delayed me today. A friend says she's sending me a router, so hopefully by next week we'll be back up to speed.
You're more than welcome to take a Caucus Critters spot, if you like. Just check with me about the schedule so we don't have two up at the same time. The only regular day taken so far, though, is my Mondays.
Can you not have a pet because of where you live?

Wildlife would be nice.
Yesterday after our first measurable rainfall in a month (0.3" here!!) I had to do a dog rescue/extraction and found on my driveway my first red eft of the year! Also my first slug.
I love my little newts. I am doing penance for an unfortunate shovel last spring. Did not know they hibernate in masses. Mea culpa. I was happy to pick this one up and have it pee in my hand. Released, of course.
Hey! my dear friends or soon-to-be's, JtC could use the donations to keep this site functioning for those of us who can still see the life preserver or flotsam in the water.
Oh dear! I think we could do a diary of efts and such, as long
as it's not too creepy, if you wanted. Lizards/amphibians are pretty cool IMHO.
I went to your link. It says they have toxins in their skin. Maybe that wasn't pee!

White and Black (and Brown)
Lovely photo essay, elenacarlena. Short and to the emotional point.
Thank you, Writerinres! I do usually go longer,
but doing this much took me hours and hours!! Once I get back online at home, I'll lengthen future essays. In this case, though, it did work out well with the music.

Going to run out of battery power soon, so will have to leave
Kroger soon and see everyone sometime tomorrow! Play nice amongst yourselves (I know, you always do!).

Please Sir, can we have more?........
Gëzuar!!
from a reasonably stable genius.
Oh, how cute! Yes, we need more! Are those your pooties looking
so happy in their "very own" screen house?

Thank you, EC! Wonderful sentiments, very nicely
expressed.
Good luck with the new router. I didn't realize that Kroger offers Wi-Fi access. They have pretty cool online flyers and shopping apps, BTW.
Big cats are so regal. For several months, Mr M had a photo of the African/Zimbabwean Lion, Cecil--killed by the Minnesota dentist--as his screen saver on his smart phone.
Now he has a photo of Harambe the Gorilla--killed by Cincinnati zoo keepers--as his screen saver.
Our family was made-to-order to be Alaskans--we so much loved the place, especially the wild life. (Not that we were seeing a bunch of tigers or gorillas, there.) But we revelled in the large variety of wild animals that were indigenous to the area. In our hearts, it's still home.
Have a good one!
Mollie

Everyone thinks they have the best dog, and none of them are wrong.
Thank you, UL! The router came in yesterday's mail and I
connected it today. So far, so good!
The nearby Kroger is one of the big marketplace types, with a Starbucks inside. I don't know if that's why it has Wi-Fi or if they all do, but it comes in handy as an Internet backup. I also have my Kroger card, give up my privacy to make sure I get all my discounts.
I adore big pooties! I hope that dentist has no patients left.
Trevor Noah makes an interesting point, comparing police departments to the zoo (the whole thing was interesting, I thought, but if you just want to watch the gorilla part, it starts at about 5:30):

I would love to visit Alaska to see the wildlife. Don't think I'd want to live there, although today it seems like a good idea (only about 80 today but because of rain, so humid it feels hotter)!
