Caucus Critters: Moondae Moppets: Purrexit
I can't decide, from what little I know, if Brexit was foolish or smart. I guess we'll find out in due time.
Meanwhile, what I do know is that, foolish or smart, our animals love to exit! Even if they do turn right around and want to enter again. Unless we really want them to re-enter, and then they'll lead us a merry chase.
But first, remember The Recommendations!
•Our intent is to create a safe place to relax and play; please use common sense and have fun.
•Share any and all pootie/woozle/furry/feathery/leathery photos or issues that you would like.
•When it comes to problems, we may just have someone with experience who can help.
•If you would like a pic from the posts, please ask the poster. He/she may have a copyright to those pics. Many thanks.
•We love critters, so any/all photos that encourage human violence against an animal will be frowned upon and considered out of bounds!
We's a diverse group! Happy LGBTQ Pride Month!
So of course pooties want to Purrexit:
Let us owt!
Apparently there's a universal pootie posture for such occasions!
Let us owt too!
And then some want out while others want in:
And some just think about it:
Just open that window, and I'll be back in the jungle in no time!
Sometimes out in the wild is not all they hoped:
And sometimes others want in while we want them out!
Don't be Fooled!
Then of course woozles want to Purrexit too, or maybe that's Barkexit:
Yes, we haz grass n trees, but we bet yours is better!
They're having fun out there without me! No!!
Can I go see rest of world? Pleez pleez?
Sometimes woozles don't have it easy out there either!
Yikes! This is not natural!
And sometimes they just want to be wherever they're not!
Be careful if YOU go outside, so you're not in trouble when you come home!
Keep those pets safe and behave yourselves!
These are open threads, so please post pics and discuss whatevs.
(I would have gone on to other species, but I am having computer difficulties and didn't want to run even later. So please feel free to add in the Comments!)

dog tarot
Started messing around ages ago trying to do a dog tarot with photomanip. As it's not been a great monday-Death.
That's an interesting image. But woozles can never look scary
to me! He just looks like, "You want me in a hoodie? Yeah, I'll wear a hoodie".
Can't wait to see the whole tarot deck! Hope your Moondae improves.

thanks
No, he's not so scary, my idea of death is more Terry Pratchett than anything else.
And Mondae has improved by becoming Tuesdae so that's good!

I am still disabled from uploading my pix,
especially from the iPhone through the computer. FB can eliminate that step. But I can't grab pix from FB!
Two today of wee-woozle Skya (imagine). She went outside in wet (no measureable rainfall, but wet). She is a Cairn terrier, breed developed as an early terrier to hunt vermin in the rock piles on rough farms of the outer Hebrides Islands. She has yet to get any vermin, but odd things happen. On her wet tours (drying off leaves) she imported fairy cobwebs, twice. I have a picture, if I can ever master the processes. Not that I believe in fairies, but that small magic is all around. Cheers!

rl, I like my big screen pc at home.
On the road, I'm toying with learning "fire tablet", a BD gift. The "kids" have offered to gift me an expensive IPhone.
GPS tracking is not my friend. Just call me cautious and aware. imo

It's some stupid thing I miss
maybe iTunes, where my phone is copied on to my computer, but I have yet to figure out how to access that data.

Hmm, do we have any iPhone to computer users here?
I don't have a smartphone, my tablet has a USB port so I transfer to the big computer with a thumb drive. I also download a lot and sometimes they go to weird files that the computer created.
Do you have a "Save" step that you could change to "Save as" so you can tell it where to place the data? Or, do you have a file name, such as the name of one of the pics, that you can use to Search for the data? Find one, find them all; when you open up that file then you can look up top to see where it is. Then you can transfer them all to whatever file you might prefer.
If neither of those work, we'll have to find another person to help you who uses both iPhone and computer.

Yeah - unless you have iPhoto linked up with your computer
You won't get those images.
There's a setting to back up your photos to your mac - is it a mac?
But honestly, iPhoto is such a pain that I usually just email myself the photos I want to share here or elsewhere - not the most efficient method.
But theoretically - you SHOULD be able to open iPhoto on your computer, and if you have your iPhone set to sync up, you'll have all your photos in there.
I think I used to have my pics set up to backup automatically to dropbox, until I ran out of room. You can sign up for the iCloud and have them automatically backed up there.
So is there no way to directly upload photos from an iPhone
to a Web site?
I can see where emailing them would work. Odd that you can upload them to an email but not a Web site, though.

Ooh, Johnny's here to help! Fantastic!
A much more capable technologist than yours truly! Meanwhile, here's a photo of some cairn terriers to help visualize until you can send yours:
Thank you, JtC!

Not woozles... Ten Little Piggies
went crazee.
We used to have lizards that lolled outside in the sun when I lived in Italy. They were reportedly ferocious but lazy too lazy to bother you unless you bothered them first. This color reminds me of them, only they were even brighter, lol.
Today all my anxieties of the weekend melted in swift succession. First, the Therapy Center I mentioned in my essay called back and we completed the initial phone interview. I'm scheduled for a more in-depth interview in 10 days.
Next, I contacted the Mizzoni Center to discuss HRT (Hormone Replacement Therapy). Earliest appointments are in Sept. and early Oct. That's fine. It is what it is. At my age, a few weeks go by in the blink of an eye. (I'm getting tingly with anticipation though, I have to admit.)
For the Hat Trick, the electrolysisogist (I'm not sure that's a real word) that I called last week, called back and we have a consultation meeting scheduled for later in the week. Lasers sound cool but they don't work on white hair... like my face hair. And it takes forever, multiple visits to keep at it. Plus, it's not really permanent. (They don't tell you that though. You have to read real-life experiences to find that out.) That's 3 "Yippies!"
And to add to the bonanza, I'd ordered a batch of sprouting seeds from The Sprout People (There's an entry for them in the Resource Library.) They had sent some wrong seeds by mistake. They acknowledged the mistake and the correct seeds are on the way to the Chateau. Add another "Yippie!" to the pile.
I'm working on my next fundraiser... this time with real prizes, as opposed to my air guitar picks, which for some reason no one ordered(with their donation.) "Hmmmph..." [scratches forehead] "Where did I go wrong on that one, I wonder?"
I hope everyone is doing well. Love you all.

I love the pic of your piggies hugging our screen,
with our diverse group photo and June's rainbow frame!
I'm glad I went back and read your previous essay before commenting; I was just about to share hormone tips and the misery of menopause with you! Oops.
Isn't it nice when things start to work out? I'm sorry you had to go through so much to get where you are. I have never understood why the rule isn't live and let live. What joy is there in telling others how to live their lives? I would think trying to optimize one's own life would be more than enough.
I'm so glad you're feeling at home here. Slurpy kissez from the pooties!
Kitty kissez

Kitty kisses are so sweet!
I, rather unfortunately, found a decapitated vole head on the family room floor this am. On the subject of kitties, not kisses.
They are just doing what they do, I know, but I wish they'd keep it outside! They are lucky enough to have a nice wooded lot to play in, and do their cat things in, but for some reason feel the need to run inside with any catch.
Nothing like waking up to a bloody decapitated head. Do you suppose that was supposed to be like a horse-head in the bed? Do you think they are trying to tell me something??
Ugh! Another good reason for keeping kitties indoors, fewer
gifts! Actually, the message is that you are the leader of the pride, therefore must be presented with gifts. Don't you feel special now? They figure you feed them, they want to feed you!
Unless they are Italian mafia kitties....

Thank you for tonight's CC, Elena! One of these days,
I'll catch up with you, and hopefully, you can explain to me 'how' you create these delightfully funny/entertaining photos. (Which software, etc.)
Haven't seen a photo of Cairn Terriers in ages, and I rarely ever see one in RL--so, always reminds me of 'Toto.'
Have a good one!

Everyone thinks they have the best dog, and none of them are wrong.
I'm not the creator usually, merely the compiler. I mostly use
Google images to search for my theme and select from the results. If I have 20 different images, they usually come from 20 different Web sites. It's usually okay to repost as long as you don't do so for profit; if not, they'll tell you. I download to my hard drive and then upload here or there. If someone wants to use an image for profit, I save the original file names so can direct them back to the source.
For images I create or change, I use ArtRage software. For my own pets, I ran into difficulties, probably because they were adopted from rescue groups so had been traumatized in their early lives. They jump and run at the sound and/or sight of the camera shutter and/or flash! So I turn the computer movie camera on, film them doing their thing, then replay and stop the film where I see a good shot and take a screenshot. Then I crop that in ArtRage to remove any extraneous parts of the image (including me!). It's not as crisp as a still camera shot, but when they won't hold still or keep doing whatever they were doing in the presence of a camera, it's the best workaround I've found.
If you're interested in drawing in ArtRage, you really need a drawing tablet with stylus. I used to draw with my mouse, how clunky by comparison! I think the ArtRage software was $20 or $30, and the tablet and stylus $80 or $90. IIRC, the tablet and stylus came with some free art software, but it wasn't as good, didn't have as much flexibility. Check that out first, though, if you want to draw or paint.
Now you know all my secrets! Well... maybe not all....

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, EC! I appreciate
the information, and the generosity of taking the time to explain the software program, and the process involved in producing the images/screenshots.
I'll look into ArtRage, but I'm not sure that I'd be any good at using a stylus, if that's required. (I'm not even very proficient at using the itty bitty stylus for my smart phone.)
Have a nice evening!
Mollie
