I'm likely to be banned this evening, due to the post I'm going to publish.
Does anybody here know if there is a tool for exporting my content? I've written nearly 400 diaries since 2008. And I have about 40 drafts. Grabbing them one by one is not going to happen fast enough.
Yes, it's slow, but I think of it as a Reader's Digest/ Best Of that I'm porting over here... (All the meta left behind, and only the energy I WANT to bring here)
this Firefox extension will help a lot. EasyCopy. Once you get used to it you'll be able to copy/paste each diary in a matter of minutes. That's about as easy as it's going to get without direct access to the HTML code.
I hope you post the essay here as well. I'd like to read it; and while I can't say I never visit TOP anymore, my visits are extremely rare. I can't take much of a bunch of people calling themselves "progressive" while they cheer the Clintons' efforts to drag us back to the twenties.

You might look into wget. I'm a linux user, but there should be version for Mac and Windows. It is a command line tool which will download the contents of a webpage. I think, however, that it pulls everything including the markup. You would have to remove that to get back to the plain text of your articles. Let me know palantirin @ gmail if you have any questions.

Just hit Save page as.
or you can get a pdf converter to save the page as a pdf.
