Endless War and Endless Lies

Open Thread Image.jpg

The war based economy of the US drives senseless destruction, death, and misery across the globe. As I look back over all the US instigated wars of my lifetime, I can't think of a single one that wasn't justified by lies. The war of my youth, Vietnam, was promoted with the Tonkin Gulf false flag narrative.

“American Planes Hit North Vietnam After Second Attack on Our Destroyers; Move Taken to Halt New Aggression”, announced a Washington Post headline on Aug. 5, 1964.
That same day, the front page of the New York Times reported: “President Johnson has ordered retaliatory action against gunboats and ‘certain supporting facilities in North Vietnam’ after renewed attacks against American destroyers in the Gulf of Tonkin.”
But there was no “second attack” by North Vietnam — no “renewed attacks against American destroyers.” By reporting official claims as absolute truths, American journalism opened the floodgates for the bloody Vietnam War.
A pattern took hold: continuous government lies passed on by pliant mass media…leading to over 50,000 American deaths and millions of Vietnamese casualties.

The data centers run 24 hours a day, humming along with power from Bonneville Dam. The systems are kept cool using outdoor air on cold days and nights, when insufficient there is water.

People and communities need to communicate with each other. Large data centers assist in the broad goals of efficiency and monitoring.
