Common Sense and Plain Talk

Seems common sense isn't common, nor is plain talk. No, censorship and suppression are par for the course today. We don't have free speech, we have acceptable and allowed speech, wrapped in lies and propaganda. No wonder most people are so unaware of US malevolence.

Afternoon folks!

This week we start out with some really fun New Orleans funk from the Dirty Dozen Brass Band, followed by an album by Howlin' Wolf's horn player for many years, Eddie Shaw. After that we've got some r&b from The Persuaders, some folks will recognize the title cut because of The Pretenders cover of it. After that there's blues rock from Elvin Bishop with a double live album, followed by an album of jazz-blues-rock fusion from Harvey Mandel and another fusion album from John Mayall. After that, in the diversity department we've got a Los Lobos album and a 60's pop-psychedelic album from The Lemon Pipers.

Morning - A few subjects I found interesting this week.

Happy Friday everyone. I hope everybody is doing well. Post any photos, memes, or music you like.

It's been a week of beautiful weather. Sunny blue skies and temps in the 70s.
On a less positive note our local utility company, SDG&E (San Diego Gouge and Extract) has decided their profit margin isn't large enough. Now they want to add a surcharge based on your annual income on top of their already exorbitant utility rates.  All us rate payers are keeping our fingers crossed that the proposed increase will be denied by the PUC.

I had not been to the zoo since August so I decided it was time for a visit and spent a few hours there Tuesday morning.

Empires are parasites.

Impirium Parasitus (U.S. Empire) lives upon two hosts, the internal host and the external host. The citizens as the internal hosts and the victim as the external host country or state. Sometimes the relationship is symbiotic, but most times it's only beneficial for the parasite. In end stages when the host/s are no longer to be found or have been depleted, the Impirium Parasitus may turn exclusively on its citizens.

Impirium Parasitus has learned and adapted from past hosts. The Vietnam War or The War in Southeast Asian taught the parasite many valuable lessons that are presently applied to contemporary conflicts.

• The hoi polloi (common people, the masses) must not discern caskets draped in American flags.
• The hoi polloi must not hear anti-empirical words that emanate from the popular music of the day.
• Protest must be hidden from the citizens as much as possible.
• The use of censorship and propaganda to obfuscate the motivation for parasitical exploitation.
• The use of political intimidation to keep the hoi polloi in line.
• The use of a proxy army.

Do You Like It Cold or Hot?

I recently read an article about a study which examines what happens to the human body in the cold. Not extreme cold, like in the Arctic, but unheated room in the winter cold in a temperate climate, like 50 F (10 C). This is, according to the article, the average temperature that people will be living in winter (in Great Britain) if they can't afford to heat their homes.

The study takes a room from 70 F (about 21 C) down to 50 F. A volunteer sits in the room, almost naked, with all kinds of measuring devices attached to them and gets cold as the room gets cold.
