Big Bernie supporter here. I even switched from independent to vote for him. I donated and volunteered, first time I have ever put forth effort. I had never put that effort or interest into any politician before because I have always seen a system that is corrupt and owned by special interests. What's the point of choosing the lesser of two evils when they are eventually going to lead to the same fruition; oligarchy, plutocracy, whatever you wanna call it.

Saw a tweet in mah TWEETER stream this morning, and it brought on a flashback to the good old days of starting my morning with What's Happening! .

Good morning folks. I've seen several new members here recently asking about this site's history and the original founders intention and goals. I don't have time to go into great detail right now as managing and adminning c99p has become a full time job, although I do plan on eventually writing a complete history of this site, that started as a spark of a dream, moved in and out of many iterations, and culminated in caucus99percent.com as we see it now.

District conventions are this Saturday in Houston, Texas. At the convention we not only elect delegates, we also put forward resolutions that become the party platform. I imagine it is similar in other states.
Everyone attending their convention should draft a series of resolutions that mirror each of Bernie's policy positions. This is a way that, even if we don't do as well as we hope in western primaries, we can still affect the positions of the party and our candidate.

It isn't all about climate change and the end of the world, either. It's also about getting through every waking minute of every day of one's life in some kind of *sentient, waking fashion.

When I can walk and the weather cooperates, I go into my itty back garden when it's growing time.

Like excommunication from a religious body, banning from a website is risible. It serves only to eliminate dissent in order to drive money into the pockets of the owners. To be clear, this was not a banning, but more of a purge. Luckily, these purges do not harm anyone. We can laugh at them and the little purgers, those who think they are going to amount to anything.
