Good Morning, 99%'ers! Welcome to Mundane Wednesday. Well, this Wednesday is not so mundane after Bernie Sanders' stunning upset victory in Michigan. No one, I mean no one, saw this coming. Let's hope that momentum continues for Sanders and his message.

Otherwise, sometimes it gets a little muddy out there.

"I learned long ago, never to wrestle with a pig. You get dirty, and besides, the pig likes it." George Bernard Shaw.

Dear Kos, about that "I mean everyone" faux olive branch

I am cross-posting my comment to kos' diary here, because I've already received 1 HR Flag, and who knows how many are going to follow.

Number One. The Primary is over when the Primary is over.

Not when you say so. The polls mean nothing.

Voting is voting. Polls are not voting.

You say you support the Democratic Party.

Do we really need a new party or can we change the DNC?

I used to think, "There is no way this can continue, both parties are corrupt and not salvageable."

But then an outsider came into the party, an outsider that came from a group of outsiders that I used to be a part of before I moved to a closed primary state.

A man with Crazy white hair. A man that shouted a lot, but with passion, sometimes even rage at an unjust system, but never with hate.

A man that Voted with the Democrats more often than Democrats did.

New here; any other Oregon members?

I'm a kos refugee, new here at C99%. I love what I see so far! I'm sick of the 3rd way center-right Democratic party of the last 25 or so years and chuckle when I hear HRC voters refer to themselves as "progressive".
Are there any other Oregon members on here? Anywho I'm happy to join and look forward to making this site my new daily read!

From The Guardian:

Vermont senator had trailed in polls by more than 20 points but opposition to free trade and growing African American support won votes in rust-belt state

Bernie Sanders pulled off his biggest win of the Democratic presidential race on Tuesday, defeating Hillary Clinton in the Michigan primary on a night which also confirmed strong anti-establishment support for Donald Trump in the battle for the Republican nomination.

In an industrial state hit hard by the decline of manufacturing, the Vermont senator’s consistent opposition to free trade deals appears to have been a decisive factor, but he also showed signs of weakening Clinton’s dominance among African American voters.
