Is there any reason to hope?

I have virtually stopped writing and read less and less. I feel very alone. I am watching a system fall apart and as I watch the people in it seem to be engaged in even more theater than before.

This is not an election we are watching and maybe participating in. It does not even resemble an election. For years and years some of us have pointed out that our elections are a theater used by the oligarchy to narcotize a television watching audience.

Common Sense- Hillary's server issue

Okay, I am going to try to use a little common sense to discuss why Hillary Clinton should get in trouble for your own private server. The type of trouble should range for government reprimand to potential criminal proceedings. I am not recommending a finding or ruling against her, my case to you is there is something wrong with her using a private server in the first place- lack of common sense.

A creepy obsession in New Hampshire

The New Hampshire Union Leader attacked Attorney General Loretta Lynch and the entire Obama Administration in an editorial for "creeping into bathrooms."

The Justice Department has filed a ridiculous lawsuit against North Carolina for its law overturning a Charlotte ordinance that told private businesses how to manage their bathrooms.

The eradication of any legal distinction between the sexes, even in terms of basic biological functions, is a creepy obsession on the left. Lynch’s attempt to abuse the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 and the Violence Against Women Act in pursuit of this bit of social engineering undermines those landmark laws.

Pew Research Center Study shows shrinking middle class almost everywhere in America.

Economic inequality matters.

The great shrinking of the middle class that has captured the attention of the nation is not only playing out in troubled regions like the Rust Belt, Appalachia and the Deep South, but in just about every metropolitan area in America, according to a major new analysis by the Pew Research Center.

Resilience: Co-ops 101: An Introduction to Cooperatives 2/3

Resilience1.jpg
Corporate capitalism has failed western societies. In the western world, inequality is at its highest on record, the environment is threatened, and local communities have become corporate dependencies. Presently, many businesses in a community are not local, but are franchises of a national or multinational corporation that pays its workers as little as possible, ruins the environment, and sends the profits to investors far away. Many consumers are left isolated individually with no bargaining power.
In order to grow resilient local economies, communities will have to develop co-operative local businesses and local organizations to break the stranglehold that multinational corporations have on them.
The cooperative is a form of organization for business or for consumers that works for the betterment of the local community - its people, environment, and its economy. This is Part 2 in a three-part series on co-ops. Part 1 is here http://caucus99percent.com/content/resilience-co-ops-101-introduction-co...
