Learning the skills to grow ones own food has always provided a comfort of some level by being self sufficient or a better educated purchaser. Most commonly thought of as a vegetable garden, my definition includes kitchen craft and animal husbandry. A good loaf of bread and glass of beer requires carefully growing yeasts in the proper enviornment.

Not talking about gender identities, but born to a gender at a time when Women's Lib was trying to accomplish something like societal and work place equity and parity for women, who still make something like 65 cents to a man's $1.00. Specifically, I will address the female gender practicing law back in the 1980s, and wearing dresses and skirts. This is my experience in Southeast Texas courtrooms.

AI - Not so Lovely

Bill McKibben recently wrote a piece about AI called 'Regular Old Intelligence is Sufficient: Even Lovely'. The piece is really good. He said a lot of things in it that I agree with, but haven't the ability to express very well.

International Day for Street Children

And the rain continues.
We haven't had a break in months. The ground is so saturated a tank couldn't get through. The worms are coming to the surface and drowning. I threw out some popcorn for them to hang on to but forgot they don't have hands to grab hold.
