We are only weeks away from the presidential primaries, and the left wing of the party has never been so active, so you might think the Democratic Party leadership would take this moment to throw a bone to the critical labor union membership.
Well, think again!

I pointed out how the DSA had another good election on Tuesday, but it's also worth noting how Bernicrats had a better day than mainstream Dems.
Let's start with Virginia.

With a great weeping, gnashing of teeth, rending of garments and clutching of pearls, the Democrats have declared that the decision to withdraw troops from Syria was a mortal sin.

Dear Establishment Democrats,

Thank you so much for inviting me to your Impeachment Party. It's really great to hear you've finally found something to nail Trump with. Good for you! You've been looking so hard these past three years. So nice to see all that effort finally pay off!

(Of course, some might say you should have spent that time looking for solutions to all the problems the country is facing, but hey, let's not get crazy! Right?)

When I was a young man, I came to the realization that the political parties weren't operating in good faith. Republicans were perfectly willing to thwart plans they previously championed if there was a chance a Democrat was going to get the credit for it. And when it comes to successful economic measures which would lift society up from poverty ... forgettaboutit!
