Don't Call Me a Purist Again

(Warning: This essay has no redeeming value whatsoever, it's only purpose is to have a little fun, stir up some shit and make people hate each other.)

So evidently the term "purist" is being used, again, by some in the One Percent's Democratic Party, to describe the "progressive rebels" who are resisting the corporate democratic establishment.

The power of the king.

For all practical purposes the office of the American President has become one of an uncrowned king.

There are many, many steps that led us to this point, but the parallels are blatant and numerous. Our uncrowned king has the power of life and death over his citizens, the authority to impose laws via fiat, and no accountability to any save the nobles which are the only check on his power.

Trump "Transfers Power to the People", Undemocratically

The new President of the United States, Donald Trump, had this to say in his inaugural speech.

“Today, we are not merely transferring power from one administration to another, or from one party to another, but we are transferring power from Washington, D.C., and giving it back to you, the people,” Trump said.

Issues. Isn't Democracy the Issue?

Regarding the "issues". Aren't all issues dependent on a single issue - democracy? And since we don't have democracy, shouldn't we try to get that first?
