Bill just doesn’t get it. No one in the Clinton camp seems to understand why so many young people are flocking to Bernie Sanders or how to connect with them in a way that would unify the party in November should Hillary win the nomination. Most of their explanations so far have pegged these supporters as hopelessly naive, unrealistic and idealistic.
At the recently concluded Centesimus annus conference at the Vatican, leaders from countries around the world were invited to discuss the morality, or lack thereof, in the global economy, which Pope Francis has rightfully labelled as "the globalization of indifference".
Invitations to this conference were selective, made by the Pope himself. Having been schooled on the writings of Augustine and Thomas Aquinas, I found resonance with Francis's address before the conference.

I'm a Bernie supporter, but I'm also a realist. While I don't understand how someone could vote for Hillary over Bernie, I also recognize that a lot of people are doing just that.
I posted earlier about how the "likely primary" voter category necessarily excludes many younger voters.
Interestingly, the just released NBC Marist poll that shows Clinton up by 14 points (+/- 4.2%) in NY among likely primary voters does not show the age breakdowns.

This is my first diary at caucus99 percent. Like so many others, I joined the site in response to Kos' ridiculous, laughable, pathetic gag order. Also like many others, I have always voted for Democratic candidates, but I was not heavily involved or invested in previous presidential campaigns. Yeah, I threw a few bucks to Obama, yeah, I did a smidge of GOTV canvassing in my own hometown in 2008.
