Why Did Both Bernie and Trump Resonate with Voters and Why Is This the Key to Future Success?

The first question in the title isn’t all that difficult to suss out. The weft in both men’s narrative tapestry was that neither was beholden to Big Money, one because he was too rich to be bought off and the other because he was too ethical. One touted using his own money and the other touted using only small donor money.

My loyalties lie with the afflicted, those that suffer all around us.

From my perspective I joined thirty nine years ago, a party I believed in and so gave my loyalty, It was the party of The New Deal, The Great Society and at the time I joined also the party of civil liberty, equal rights and a war against poverty. I saw clearly in 2016 that what it had devolved into was nothing like the party I joined. The question of my loyalty then became murky. My thoughts and vision since have grown clear, "what was, no longer is", and if such ever exists again it likely will not become manifest or reborn anew in the party I once joined so long ago.

Inside Insiders, Inside Outsiders and Outside Outsiders

Which one are you - an Inside Insider, an Inside Outsider or an Outside Outsider? This questioned was inspired by reading a transcript of a Democracy Now conversation between Amy Goodman and Cornel West which prompted a flashback to my college sociology class and the concept of coalition triads.

Here’s the snippet of discussion which started this whole train of thought:

This is a Thing now -- "Democratic" Free Speech Zones

“The best way to take control over a people and control them utterly is to take a little of their freedom at a time, to erode rights by a thousand tiny and almost imperceptible reductions. In this way, the people will not see those rights and freedoms being removed until past the point at which these changes cannot be reversed.”

The Sanders Institute. [Updated: Link Added]

The Sanders Institute will focus on elevating issues and ideas — through media and documentaries — that Sanders said the “corporate media” fails to focus on, including the disappearing middle class, “massive” income inequality, horrific levels of poverty and problems affecting seniors and children.

It looks like Bernie has a plan:

No, one does not automatically endorse after a campaign

Hillary wants to have her cake and eat it too. Let's recap the primary season… there was the Iowa debacle, sleazy shirt swapping in Nevada, the supposed sabotage of the Sanders North Carolina campaign, widespread disenfranchisement in Arizona, Billy electioneering at polling places in Mass and Illinois, and refusal to give NPP voters a crossover ballot in California. That's a whole lot of campaign shenanigans, and it all took place in states where Clinton had a strong showing.

California Schemin' - A Tale of 3 County Tallies

So the internet is a'buzz regarding the irregularities and oddball events which occurred during California Primary Election Day. Took people maybe 12 hours or so to determine the amount of votes which have yet to be counted (something like 30% of all votes cast)....
