2016 election

The Twelve Days of Election Excuses. Ho Ho Ho!

A friend directed me to a blog that purports to explain how Hillary Clinton, the most unpopular candidate in recent American history, managed to lose the presidential election to Donald Trump, the only candidate who may actually surpass her in unfavorable regard.

That was quite a feat and everyone involved deserves a measure of credit.

The Completely Inappropriate American Election of 2016 — A Timeline of Assumptions

This is a brief outline of what happened in the United States during a global election cycle that was driven by a pent-up demand for profound political change.

Bernie Sanders did not have a complete plan when he announced his run for the Presidency in 2015. Along the way, he set in motion many disparate things that were already struggling to take form. As they coalesced, the election gameboard changed. Thus, the strategies changed, and for Bernie, the goals changed, as well.

Did Jill Stein (voters) throw the election to Trump?

For the Mathematically and/or Integrity Challenged:

Jill Stein (and her voters) are being blamed for causing Hillary Clinton to lose to Trump. Lets see if that is even possible. I used data from the Politico website...there are probably variations in the "official" vote total at this point, and if you manage to find one that is enough different from this one to make a difference, then I would like to see it. For now, I have gone through every state via the Politico website, and these are the results I found.

President Obama's biggest mistakes

President Obama, as the highest elected official of the Democratic Party, was suppose to run the DNC. Instead, he allowed the Clintons to control it through the appointment of Debbie Waserman Schultz, as its chairperson. I now believe she was appointed on the recommendation of the Clintons and Obama went along with it. Many of us celebrated when the DLC was disbanded, what we did not realize was that the Clintons had moved their operation to the DNC.

It's a bloodbath...

And, it's getting uglier...Trump just moved ahead of Clinton in Pennsylvania.

My advice: Go over to Orange State and make a statement by rec'ing THIS POST. (Try not to get yourself banned in the process of doing same; if you haven't been banned there, already.)

A couple of comments from yours truly over "there," last night, and over the past hour...

Offered for your consideration

The tools of conquest do not necessarily come with bombs and explosions and fallout. There are weapons that are simply thoughts, attitudes, prejudices...to be found only in the minds of men. For the record, prejudices can kill...and suspicion can destroy...and a thoughtless, frightened search for a scapegoat has a fallout all of its own -- for the children and the children yet unborn.

My open Letter to the "Vote Shamers" on my FB feed.

Recently I posted a couple comments about this subject here, and as I am lazy and didn't want to retype all my thoughts on this over yet again I decided to take a couple of my comments, combine them and re-edit it and post it on my FB as a response to some of the garbage I have been receiving both via PM and on my feed.
