My first post here, so hello everyone. I am 70. I have never bothered with American politics except asking my family members who live in the USA to vote for Nader. When i was in the University I supported the Socialist Party. I am a Bolivian citizen living in the Windward Islands (Caribbean), member of Evo Morales party Movimiento Al Socialismo and before that whatever old school anarcho-communist party was running.
In a Politicususa article, the author cautions Sanders' supporters that Obama has said and history shows that incrementalism is the only way in which major changes take place.
I’ve seen 30 years of Democratic establishment contempt for progressives, I’ve seen their seven stages of reactionary attacks too many times, I’ve seen the condescension and the slander and the scorched earth. I’ve heard their endless excuses for enabling evil, their immoral pandering to the Powers-That-Be, their strident demands for party loyalty while progressive values burn in the bonfires of the Beltway and the Four Horsemen of Triangulation saddle up for yet another nationwide ride.
A couple months ago I spotted this video and something about it struck me wrong.
I know it was supposed to be something to do with female empowerment, but it just didn't feel right. I couldn't put my finger on it.

Monday Barack Obama placed an OpEd in the Washington Post (Pravda, meaning "Truth" and the Party organ of the Communist Party of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, as opposed to Izvestia, meaning "News", the Official, State Sanctioned, Public Record- that would be The New York Times) praising the virtues of the Trans Pacific Partnership.
Shaun King has an article today at the NY Daily News that ravages Hillary Clinton. There is also an embedded video that interviews Ann Selzer about recent polling that is worth watching.
I have virtually stopped writing and read less and less. I feel very alone. I am watching a system fall apart and as I watch the people in it seem to be engaged in even more theater than before.
This is not an election we are watching and maybe participating in. It does not even resemble an election. For years and years some of us have pointed out that our elections are a theater used by the oligarchy to narcotize a television watching audience.
