Hill IS running out the clock
So that's what this "pneumonia thing" is all about! Just read a Chris Cillizza post in today's Washington Post about how Hillary Clinton's sudden (but not too serious, although it is mildly contagious) case of "pneumonia" may have her out of commission for six or more weeks, perhaps through October. What an absolutely convenient way for her to run out the clock and avoid pesky debates and press conferences (yet free her schedule up for fundraisers). Plus, it puts to rest all the rumors about her health. Plus-plus, having pneumonia but paying her respects during the 9/11 memorial ceremony makes her into a brave hero, sacrificing her own needs for the departed. Clever and Clintonesque, no?

Will she appear in a wheelchair?
FDR was in one and so, to some extent, was JFK. Not defending her heinous, because I detest her no matter what, but, we accepted these fellows with their illnesses/injuries. Short of being dead without our knowledge (and Billy Boy running things in her name), I can't participate in her "illnesses" preventing her from doing the job. I've gone to work ill. Have you?

I had to stay out of a conversation yesterday at work
between two customers who thought it was very "real" to see a politician who is obviously sick but still going to work.. just like how real people have to go to work sick.
..
First, I think it's deplorable that people have to work while ill. It's unsafe and inhumane.
Yes, I've worked sick many times. But I don't recall being propped up by security guards while doing so.:)
I recall working while sick because I had
no choice.

Me, too.
Especially when I was a single mother, full-time student waitress in the late 70's early 80's. Although I have sick leave, I sometimes come to work sick, as my parents ingrained in my brain that going to school sick was okay as long as the nurse didn't send me home. There's no nurse at work, but sometimes my co-workers make me go home. It brings back fond memories of my childhood.
"The “jumpers” reminded us that one day we will all face only one choice and that is how we will die, not how we will live." Chris Hedges on 9/11
But she's not 'going to work'
But she's not 'going to work' - she's applying for a job for which she's clearly unfit in all possible respects. One where she plans to abuse her employers and betray them to 'the competition' she's agreed to let take over the estate she says she wants to be paid to maintain for the owners she'd like to dispossess for more personal profit and power.
Alternatively, she may very well just get that estate and the owners blown up in a nuclear war among multiple countries she's planning on threatening/attacking with weapons of mass destruction. I wouldn't vote to hire her myself, of course, but I suppose that we all get to suffer from/die with the consequences, if she is hired/cheated in. Live the nightmare, while we can... and damn the propaganda mill torpedoing us all.

just saw a news item about prepared foods at grocery stores
They were going on about organic stores and delis prepared food were making people sick.
That's because nice grocery stores like where I worked have cut hours and and are forcing people to work sick.. Hence, you with with food, you're sick... the food is gonna be not up to speed.
I gave up eating our deli food a few years ago.
I now have no problem with getting up and leaving a restaurant if I can hear or see the workers are sick. Who wants to eat at an establishment when the boss doesn't care if the waiters and chefs are sick?
IF they don't care about their workers... what makes any sane person think they care about the customer's health?
"Love One Another" ~ George Harrison
I completely agree that
nobody should have a problem with her being in a wheelchair if her problem is physiological, as long as she has no neurological or brain function problems. Stephen Hawking, for example, has more brainpower than almost anyone on the planet. ALS has left him paralysed, but his brain is as strong as anyone's.
If HRC's problem is physical, like FDR or JFK, shame on anyone who condemns her because of that. But if her malady, whatever it might be, impacts her brain function, then that's a whole 'nother story.

Both of them also died in office.
From completely different causes, of course, but still. Additionally, with FDR and JFK, their respective illnesses at any given time didn't prevent them for fulfilling the responsibilities of the presidency. If Hillary is incapacitated and unable to participate in the debates (or makes a major error and blames it on her illness), that would be a damning blow to her candidacy. She's already used it to dodge the FBI. It's literally been her "get out of jail free" card. I don't recall either FDR or JFK ever using illnesses as an excuse.
I also find it interesting that even the WaPo has to consult third party physicians because Hillary's personal doctor refuses to disclose the details of her condition. Shouldn't her doctor be the one answering reporters' questions about her diagnosis and not have random physicians engage in speculation?
I have too, but I never had blood clots removed from my head
and then went back to work. Particularly if the post-op and further long-term testing demonstrated that my MOTOR FUNCTION IN MY BRAIN WAS DETERIORATING.

Don't agree, RA
POTUS is not just a "job." FDR, and JFK did not have the same issues Clinton has. They were both MENTALLY sharp, and clearly Clinton is not. Both managed to work thru extreme physical pain.
Most important. This is 2016. Much has changed in the world. Expect the neurological problems Clinton is exhibiting, are much more serious, and develop continuously into more serious issues, than paralysis from polio, addison's disease, and the resulting pain from terribly bad back injuries ( also made worse from the medication JFK had to take to survive Addison's)
Usually agree with you RA, not this time.
Exactly
FDR and JFK had brilliant, smart, alert, and articulate minds and were courageous people (standing up to the Oligarch interests).
Their health issues did not detract from their energy, and their tremendous capacity to lead.
HRC is more similar to Ronald Reagan who had to nap all afternoon while George H. W. Bush ran the Foreign Policy (Iran-Contra, Central American covert War, etc.).
Just look at the discussion that ensued!
Good work, everyone!
"The “jumpers” reminded us that one day we will all face only one choice and that is how we will die, not how we will live." Chris Hedges on 9/11
It was a much different time, a lot of people were
totally unaware that FDR used a wheelchair. His speeches were staged to the extent that he would be seated or standing when things started. He avoided being filmed walking to or being wheeled in to venues. most people, like myself saw him on the Pathe news at the movie theater. He was on the radio a lot, no visuals, his fireside chats motivated a nation. I don't know that it would have been the same if they saw him struggling to get out of a car or to make his way to a podium.
JFK gave off the illusion of a strong man. We were not at that time particularly aware of his back problems or Addison's disease. Today, it would be impossible to hide these problems from the general public, just as it is impossible to hide police brutality. There is always someone with a camera who can get a picture - just as with Hillary leaving the 9-11 event.
So to say we "accepted" these problems is a red herring. Most of us were totally unaware of them. Today it is impossible to be "unaware" of Hillary's problems or to speculate on how deep they run and if they would interfere with here ability to govern. They are part of the narrative and rightly so. They cannot be dismissed as unimportant.
Oh my god, you actually saw him?
I can't imagine what that must have felt like.
The best President of my lifetime was Carter. Unless you count LBJ, who was President for the first 9 months of my life (I have very mixed feelings about him).

Franklin D. Roosevelt/Presidential term

"Religion is what keeps the poor from murdering the rich."--Napoleon
During her Presidency
she will enter the Rose Garden once a week to wave at reporters and take four pre-screened questions. Behind the scenes Bill will be running things as the economy tsar as promised. No Cabinet Secretary and no Department will have an Inspector General. No FOIA request will be fulfilled - all will be stamped and returned within 48 hours with the notation "no relevant records". All members of her inner circle and staff and all Cabinet officials will have an email address on the official White House Snap Chat account. The Clinton Foundation under Chelsea will thrive and prosper with ongoing donations from foreign governments and corporations. Chelsea herself will become the most sought after and highest paid speaker in history as head of this august enterprise.
Entitlement "reform" will be enacted and Social Security will be means tested and privatized alternatives will be introduced. A "public option" that is not really a public option will be introduced and private insurers will get more money funneled to them in order to keep the system with its unaffordable co-pays and deductibles in place. Trade pacts will suddenly meet the "high bars" that Hillary has set for them, although they will essentially be the same as ever. We will be embroiled in facilitating regime changes around the globe and they will go as predictably wrong as they always do.

Two points.
1. Your look into our future under the Clintons is absolutely on, which is why we need Trump to win. It takes a Democrat to screw a Democrat, unless of course, GOP obstinance ends up flanking them on the left. We can thank the GOP for rescuing SS from Obama.
2. " take four pre-screened questions" You forgot to say from Chelsea.

I'm voting for Stein, but at this point
I'm beginning to understand those who might wish to vote for Trump based upon the idea that what remains of the democratic party will absolutely consume itself should Her Heinous somehow contrive to lose the election.
Think of it. They have pulled out all the stops, spared no expense, burned every bridge, hacked every machine, coopted every media outlet, and screwed (in every possible orifice) every life form that can fog a mirror, all in the single minded effort to Get Her Her Turn. They have abandoned any pretense of defensible behavior: at this point, she's the Max Bialystock of politicians, and has sold her soul 50 times over to Get Her Turn. She will stop at nothing to win: that is clear. She can also still easily lose, despite having done what she has done (and will continue to do).
If she loses, I believe that there will be absolute *carnage* within the democratic party. The butcher's bill will have to be paid, the piper doesn't work for free. It would be le grand caramboulage: she now Owes People, and the people left standing will be the ones with all the money. And in that environment, shit well and truly runs downhill. I can't even begin to imagine what will happen to the democrat machine should she go down in flames. She will take a lot of people with her, I think.
I can see why some folks might like to see that: it is a seductive image...
It seems to me that some heads would roll, but the party would
continue, just as it did when Gore had the election stolen from him.
Meanwhile, if the Greens win the White House, it seems to me all these effects would be magnified: For one thing, you just lost to the tiny little disorganized party. For another, people voted overwhelmingly for the left wing. For a third, the party is not funded by corporations. Fourth, Hillary would never again have the chance to be the first woman President. Heh.
Please check out Pet Vet Help, consider joining us to help pets, and follow me @ElenaCarlena on Twitter! Thank you.
But Gore didn't go out of his way
to fundamentally screw over the system itself, and to cause people to take actions that are utterly indefensible (like completely destroying any sense of credibility the primary and caucus system might have had). He didn't enlist all the Party Powers-that-Be to abandon their morals based upon the threat of my-way-or-the-highway. One day we'll find out what they did to Sanders, for example... In particular, Gore didn't explicitly tell roughly half the party's voters (as well as many independents) that their support was no longer either necessary or desired, and that they should go find greener pastures- and have all of the tacit support of the party management in the process. Her Heinous has done precisely that. Who's gonna tell her not to? SHE is now the party. Everyone else has been shuddered into silence.
Poor Gore just ran a lackluster campaign, by all appearances, without having sold his soul to the devil. To my way of thinking, what she has done this cycle is an entirely different kettle of fish, and few comparisons can be made to the effect of Gore's loss on the soul of the party (whatever and such as it is). The harvesting of the soon-to-be-deadwood will be a bit more dramatic this time, should she lose...
Glad I'm not a democrat anymore. If I were really invested in Her Desired Outcome, I'd be sweating bullets right about now. No smiley.
I hope you're right, although I wonder how much we never knew
about what has gone on in federal elections past.
It just seems to me that no matter how much they gamed the system this time, if the end result is the Repubs win, well, we've been here before. Did they ever change after Nixon won? Or Reagan? Or Bushes? Or did they hunker down and figure "Oh well, after the Repubs mess it up again, we'll win next time"?

Jill is NOT going to WIN the White House.
If she can get 5% of the votes, she will be lucky. That is no reason not to vote for her, but it is reality.
"Religion is what keeps the poor from murdering the rich."--Napoleon
I think the Dems will fight Trump. They won't fight Hillary.
Dems are our closest allies supposedly. So if Hillary is cutting a deal to cut SS, who will fight her? Who fought Obama? The Republicans.
I expect the Republicans to be for the .01%, ignorant and corporate. I cede that to them, so we need an opposition party. Until the Clintons took over the Dems, it was the opposition party. IF we want an opposition party back, we have to kill off the neoliberal wing of the Democratic Party that is no longer opposed to everything Republican. Or said another way, we can't beat the GOP without the Dems, and we can't get the Dems until we defeat the neoliberal wing running them. So we have to make them lose to Trump. Make sense? Pluto said it so much better.

Here is an article about how close Bill was to privatizing
Social security until the Monica Lewinsky scandal saved it from happening.
The same people who worked in the Clinton administration have or are working in the Obama administration and they are advising Hillary now. How many of them are going to be in her administration?
These bad pennies just won't give up on privatizing it nor will they go away.
The welfare reform bill was a pay back to the banks who have spent $93 million dollars financing his and Hillary's political careers for over 24 years.

Vowing To Oppose Everything Trump Attempts.
EC, to my recollection, during the GWB years, there weren't
many cuts to our social insurance programs, compared to what we've experienced under this Administration. Remember, he dropped his Social Security reform proposal like a hot potato, thankfully.
Don't forget, during the last Lame Duck Session (under PBO), Social Security 'reform' was passed that cost many couples to lose tens of thousands of dollars of SS benefits during their lifetimes.
Dave Lindorff at CounterPunch wrote a scathing piece--as he should have--about this abomination occurring at the hands of a Democratic President.
As a matter of fact, during GWB's Administration, the 'rules' (which were put into place during WJC's Administration) that automatically placed property (homes) into the MERP for folks enrolled in a MSP, were relaxed--at least, leaving it up to each state to decide whether they chose to penalize low income seniors who qualified, in this manner.
The justification for this move was that very high numbers of low income seniors--who weren't poor enough to qualify for Medicaid, but too poor to afford the Medicare premium--went without health care (meaning Medicare) because they didn't want liens placed on their homes.
I was researching something else, when I ran across this tidbit. Later, I helped a former associate apply for this program. He was enrolled in MSP until his death at age 75. Because of this (GWB) 'rule change,' Uncle Sugar didn't put his home 'in recovery,' in order to recoup the piddling Medicare premiums that they paid on his behalf for those years, and he was able to leave his home to his surviving adult child.
(Now, some states still do this. Saw a few months ago that PBO was going to 'revamp,' or standardize this rule. I'm going to try to follow up, and see if the change is to go back to the punitive WJC rule, or relax it further. The piece didn't say 'what' was being considered.)
Bottom line, I have no idea what either a 'C' or 'T' Administration would do. But, I no longer reflexively believe that corporatist Dems are superior to Repubs, when it comes to protecting our Social Safety Net programs. IMHO, WJC's and PBO's Administrations seem to have belied this notion.
BTW, at Johnson's town halls, he's repeatedly called for balancing the budget on the back of seniors--by 'reforming' Social Security. I posted last week where 'On The Issues' shows that he has called for the SS eligibility age to be raised to 75.
Anyhoo, if my state allows me, I'll vote for Stein. But, in a million years, I'd never think that a Libertarian ticket like Johnson/Weld would be the answer.
Unless, I were Pete Peterson.

Trump as POTUS
takes what remains of the Democratic party out of the clutches of the Clintons.
Breaks up the Republican party -
Don't support Jill Stein. Think she lacks the leadership necessary, don't think she'd be where she is now if not for Bernie Sanders. She is trying to use what remains of his coat tails. Also do not support her choice for VP. She messed up that selection process badly, and finally had to choose someone.
Yes, some of her ideas are interesting, but the Green party lacks organization - seems a bit different in each state.
Gary Johnson and Bill Weld are an interesting, experienced team, but don't think they can win this time either.
My PRIORITYis defeating the Clintons, and I think the only person who can do that within the next 6 weeks is Trump. Think Trump is less dangerous than Clintons.
I'm with you, DK
IF the truth we were facing was that Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are equally evil clones of each other, then the smartest thing for any Bernie Sanders supporter would be to vote for Trump, to deny the Clinton faction within the Democratic Party from gaining the win = credibility and consolidating their power within the party.
Even if you have no love for the Dem Party and you prefer the Green Party, you are still faced with taking on the two major parties. Allowing Hillary to win gains the Green Party nothing, either in the short term or the long term. Ensuring that she loses will finally break the stranglehold that the Clintons have long had over the Dem Party, providing Bernie's Revolution the opportunity it has always needed.
The Green Party will have a better chance to grow its numbers if 1) Hillary is defeated and 2) Bernie is not able to advance his efforts to reform the Dem Party in the wake of her devastating defeat. Why not deliver some hammer blows to at least one of the corporatist parties if you can? Go after the one that is weaker, less likely to stand up to your party's appeal? Taking them both on at the same time is utterly hopeless, I'm afraid.
The actual truth, however, is that Hillary is actually the greater evil. She is far more scary as Commander-in-Chief than he is (he doesn't see Putin as a threat to America). That makes it a lot easier for me to do what needs to be done, what makes the most political sense even though I detest the man: vote for Trump if it is close in my state.

Isn't pneumonia a common problem with aids patients? With Willy being such a philanderer....???? Not to pneumonia they aren't

Blood clot. Brain surgery. Blood thinners.
LOSS OF MOTOR SKILL.
Loss of motor skill does NOT happen when you get pneumonia. Not unless that pneumonia is a byproduct of some other malady.
Why are we discounting this? When we say things like "Oh, I've gone to work sick before", we're buying their framing and they are LYING.
I can't imagine Hill has let Bill touch her in decades, because

Apparently it's common with MS too
I find it interesting that Parkinson's is the go-to assumption, when Multiple Sclerosis is also a possible diagnosis. Could it be because we've heard so much about Parkinson's lately (thank you Michael J Fox) but a lot less about MS?
There is no justice. There can be no peace.
For me, it's the jerking. AFAIK, MS is more just weakness,

MS is all over the place
It can damage anything in the central nervous system, and present itself in a lot of completely different ways. You can't tell if someone has MS by looking. Heck, I don't even know what grab bag of symptoms is coming for me the next time I have an attack. I just know what damage is built up so far.

Yes, but it seems to be their go-to strategy
And working about as well as it worked for us telling them all through the primary that we would NOT vote for her, so if they're really scared of Trump they needed to nominate Bernie.

Of course bullying us to vote
for the LTE is their go-to strategy. It has to be, because it's all they've got.

Bingo!
Can anyone here name one reason the Dems are giving us to vote for Clinton or any of the talked about replacement candidates? The "Republicans are worse" is not an inspiring way to motivate voters. Witness 2014 Congressional bloodbath and the Democrats are still using the same strategy because they have nothing to offer we the people.

If Hillary Clinton is a Democrat, why would anyone want to be
a Democrat? Or to vote for one?
The people pretty well picked Sanders as their candidate and he is not a DLCer whatever his shortcomings may or may not be. I would say he's in line for the nomination should Clinton be unfit to carry on.

It seems
that they're more afraid of Bernie than they are of Trump.
Slick Willy said on PBSNews Hour last night
that he would be lucky he could keep her off the campaign trail for even one more day. Which would mean she'll be back tomorrow. We'll see.

Every. Single. Time.
Sorry, but
when was she ever on the campaign trail? Hobnobbing with fellow 1%ers for cash doesn't count.

If by "campaign trail" Bill means going to the living rooms
of rich, corrupting people, maybe he's right.
Beware the bullshit factories.
I detect some sarcasm in this post.
Hold on for just a minute there. The small talk. The Beluga caviar. The fake smiles. It's all hard work, bud.

I think that's likely. The linked WaPo article said that with
antibiotics, one could expect to be functional in a day or two. It's just that one would not feel normal for six weeks.
So if she's out for six weeks, the pneumonia is likely just an excuse.

I guess the body double
will be on unpaid leave for a while then.

What if...
the body double was actually the one that collapsed in the video.

Royal Lizards
My husband had me watch a conspiracy video last night that claims the British royal family are all lizard people who used Princess Di for breeding then killed her... Now it all makes sense!

Good point
So Hillary is secretly very well, just pretending to be afflicted with something.
Man, those Clintons are good.

You can see from behind
that there's a size difference if you look hard enough at the "Hillary falling" vids--there are several of them out there.
That double needs to put on about 30 pounds, if they're gonna bring her out in public like that anymore. I suspect all of this Cillizza Stenography is meant to try and help plug the holes that much-lighter Hillary made...
Enough people bought “fat Osama” —
why would it be any trouble to sell “thinner Hillary” ?
Probably because
she's not swaddled in all the traditional clothing that Mr. Bin Laden wore, which covered up much of his body shape to begin with.
I have yet to see anyone buying that item--virtually ever time it's brought up, everywhere I go, it's "The woman who came outside at Chelsea's (or whoever's) apartment building was noticeably thinner."
