I love you all and thank all of you for everything. I never will forget the EBers and us 99percenters. May be we will meet again somewhere over the rainbow. In peace and God willing.
Thank You, Joe and JtC. May the wind always be in your back, though I know it always blow in your face and both of you keep on going with a few good men and women. Bless you all.

Mimi?
Are you okay?
So long mimi...
we'll keep your chair warm for you just in case you change your mind.
JtC...I think Mimi's quite depressed right now...
...and, I'm stating that from this comment:

...and this from this post:
(Bold type is my emphasis.)
I think it's important that if anyone has Mimi's direct contact info, they should reach out to her, ASAP!

Why?
Why are you leaving us, mimi?
And Eagles92 has a point: are you all right?

Your perspective is so unique, mimi. No one can add what you bring here. However, if you've gotta go, you've gotta go. I'm sure everyone agrees that you'll be most welcome should you decide to return at some point down the road.
I'll miss you.
Peace to you.
hope all is well!
Wow! I am shocked and bummed at the same time. I love reading your thoughts and comments here Mimi. And sure will miss them. Thanks for your presence. Peace and love be with you.

Dear mimi,
please stay in touch, and please come back as soon as it feels right. Love, Peace, and Happiness to you and your family.
Hope you're well.
Hope to see you again sometime.

Greetings, Mimi! IIRC, you've been discouraged
in the past, and/or concerned about getting a bit too attached to online activities--making you feel as though you need to take a break. Thankfully, you've always come back.
So, here's wishing you a nice break and respite--look forward to seeing you again, down the road.
(Hopefully, in the not too distant future--you know you can't stay away during the entire 2020 election cycle. )

dear mimi ~ until we meet again.

Taking a break from social media
Is not necessarily a bad idea. But I am very sorry to hear you are feeling blue and isolated. Perhaps you might want to look into meet up groups based on similar interests? I don't know what the equivalent is in Germany, but my Sister has met some lovely people through her meetup.com theater group.
Also if you like to cook and are willing to host people interested in German food, or if you would rather be an "ambassador" on behalf of hosts that do not speak English, here's a company that is looking for both: https://www.travelingspoon.com
We'll be here when you come back, but the meantime, please take care of yourself.

Somebody has to say it this way:
Auf wiedersehen Mimi. Do return when you're ready. We'll be waiting.

Take it easy and be good to yourself.
You’re important to all of us here.
For as long as you're away
please keep the love alive that you feel for us and we feel for you. There is so much truth in everything, everyone here has said to help keep you strong during this difficult time. I hope you find the strength and trust you need however is best for you.

I am ok - thank you for all your love -
as I said to JtC I want to be logged on to here forever, but want to stop talking and live an internet-free life, like an off-the-grid online non-communicating singing fat lady.

Hello mimi if you ever ever want to think about returning to the US, it is probably a good idea to stfu about politics in public right now, because fascists are the new data collectors. thanks obama
Not a gbcw but I decided I am not a public/private kinda gal, so I turned off Private Messaging and what you see is what you get here. Still, I got a couple of messages anyway and today I finally read them (waves hi to all). There is no "private" me anymore, I am a public radical bitch letting it all hang out. But I also know when I am not wanted, and why go where you're not wanted?
I'm next! The disabled are next, as far as cutting off support and there is nothing anyone can do about it. Because facebook and twitter arguments spike dopamine, and "if you're not on facebook, you're nobody" says jimmy dore to his half million "followers" jhfc good luck.
Nothing stays the same, except the UniParty but I digress...
Yesterday at the laundromat I met the "pink bike lady" I used to see her on the river path all the time until her chain broke. I still don't know her name but now I know she raised four sons here and they are all marine corps veterans. semper fi what could I say? They are struggling and so am I. same same
Her and I, we are both on the verge of homelessness because the D-Values economy is so fucking great for the poor in California, already great. Even Bernie says there are too many poor people trying to come here, that is how fucking great it is. Pink Bike Lady told me he is a communist, and we agreed to not vote for him. lol After that we didn't talk about voting, but where are we supposed to live? Nobody knows. Nobody 2020.
PEACE
merry meet and merry part
good to "see" your public self around
Wishing you the best!

Can you elaborate on this further? Is someone here harassing you in the PMs? You can PM me if you want to discuss it in private.
PM elaboration meta
lazyexhausted and thought turning off PMs would be less work. The next day I logged in there was a PM, and then there was another yesterday I think. Maybe they are both from admins, but the messages weren't about my bad behaviors so I don't really know for sure. User error? The Contact box is unchecked, where do I check who the admins are now? I forget. In fact someone from here sent me money after some PM'ing, it kinda restored my faith in humanity and that was cool, even though I had to send it back. I don't mind sharing my postal address to anyone here, it's just... I am trying to make my own stubborn utopia in real life, where exchanging bank dollars is the absolute last thing to consider. Lastly, but not leastly. Cheers, and thanks for hosting this blog JtC. Thanks a lot.
peace and love
Edited: meh difference.
OK, glad to hear that...
you'll find the moderator list in the Site menu in the sidebar and there is a FAQ about it also, hover over the Navigation link in the header at the top of the page and then select the FAQ link. Take it easy my friend.
Mimi, no...
We love you. Don't leave us. Take a break if you need to, but come back. We'll be waiting to hear from you again. Daniel says hey. Best to you and your son.
If you want only to live an internet-free life, I understand.
However, if, as some on the thread believe, you are depressed, please reach out to someone IRL. Or maybe volunteer. Nothing helps me more. And, no matter what, certainly find sources of smiles and laughs.
Ah mimi . . .
I hope you change your mind and stay around or maybe at least check in with us once in a while. But I understand about taking digital breaks too. I always enjoy your comments, so full of heart and soul.
All the best to you.

Mimi, do what you have to do
Keep well. If you can stop by and say "Hi" every once in a while I think we all would feel better. Thanks for being here.
