on swinging porch
where tin-dippers and
sweet water
in cool touches
meet lips
from hand dug wells.
Good morning good people!
No time this week, too many dragons and my son is visiting; hoping all our Texas folks are safe.

Have a great day and weekend everyone!

Good morning.
I don't want to be awake, but the cats insisted.
Sweetly, this time (with purrs and mushy paws rather than squawking and yowling).

Morning CStMS...
Reminds me of Lady Randolph, a Siamese kitten; would refuse to sleep anywhere in the bed but on top of my head, burrowing into my hair. I would dislodge her, time and again, and she would return; finally, i gave in and sort of got used to having a nite cap on.
Good to see you and hoping you have an enjoyable weekend.
@smiley7 Yep, Bitty Kitty
Sometimes it kind of does, that's the funny thing.
Good to see you too!

Best wishes . . .
Have a nice time with your son. Good luck with the dragons.

Morning Marilyn...
son is off visiting friends this morning; i need the rest, we've been filling the days, lots of flyfishhing, camping up next, and luckily the weather we've been having is pushing out today, so, tenting-out should be nice.
Dragons of discontent and redtape with Mom plus being extraordinarily under water financially
stresses me and i had to make big decisions early in the week. Back against the wall, but nothing to do but think onward.
Hope you and your projects are doing well and have a good one.
Enjoy your time with your son.
We'll all be here next week when you return.

Good morning, smiley7. It was 73 at 6:00 am here and
headed for 107. I've got plenty of outside work to get done this weekend, so I'd best get outside while it is liveable. Have a good one.

Morning Smiley
That is an awesome photo of the jetted black hole. I'm pretty sure it's a photo because it took over 60 seconds to boot up completely.

Good evening, Smiley! Hope you're enjoying
your visit with Son, and able to get your Mom's Medicaid/nursing home matters resolved. I know that the federal bureaucratic red tape must be a total nightmare.
Since I've gotten back to where I kept the (Farm Bureau) Medigap information, thought I'd go ahead and post it--in hopes that you'll return to this thread after the holiday weekend. We're also visiting Family, and had a nice afternoon gathering--until it got rained out. For a while, we stayed under a shelter, but as the wind picked up, no one had the appetite to get drenched, while eating! (no pun intended)
I'm sorry that the rate quotes aren't exactly inexpensive. Since, for some reason, I couldn't open my WordPress file that has your address in it, I went with the Boone area for a quote, since you mention it from time to time. IOW, these quotes are based upon Watauga County. So, these premiums may not be precise, but they should be very close. I asked for quotes for the top three most comprehensive Medigap Plans, plus Plan F (HD). Here you go,
Beneficiary Age 66 - Farm Bureau doesn't rate M/F, which is usually to the advantage of males.
Farm Bureau of North Carolina Medigap Premiums (Monthly) - Underwritten by Blue Cross/Blue Shield of North Carolina
I also priced Plan F (High Deductible) $2200 annual deduction - $31.50
I'm betting you know the differences, but, I'll run by them,
Plan F - Covers everything that Medicare covers (No deductibles or co-pays)
Plan C - Covers same as Plan F, except for 'Excess Charges'
Plan G - Covers same as Plan F, except for Part B Deductible ($183 in 2017)
Plan F (High Deductible) - Guess it covers everything like the regular Plan F, AFTER the $2200 Deductible is applied.
Now, these might be more competitive in your area than they seem to me. All I know is that they are quite a bit more expensive than the premiums we priced with the sister organization (FB/TN). I'm 'guessing' that it's because FB/TN contracts with a smaller state-based third party insurer that also happens to be based in a small town, with low overhead.
IOW, the Farm Bureau of NC premiums are steeper because of the BC/BS 'brand!'
Apologize that it took so long. I could generally remember the premiums for Plans F & C, but drew a blank on Plans G and F (HD).
Thanks for today's OT. Have a piece about ACA 'reform' that I'm going to try to swing back and post, later. I am really getting concerned that lawmakers will be using this reform to stiff us 'little people.' IOW, it's sounding as though there will be 'offsets' demanded--in exchange for providing the funding for extending CSRs (cost-sharing reductions).
Hope you and your Family have a nice and safe weekend!
