The DNC hack has given rise to numerous articles voicing horror and concern over the possibility that Russian hackers under the control of Putin harvested and are disseminating emails that will embarrass and divide the Democratic Party and Hillary Clinton in order to aid the election of Putin fanboy Donald Trump. That's the gist of these stories. They all focus on this particular incident without broadening out the implications. But the underlying thesis is:

Supposedly, a glass ceiling was broken recently. I hope no one got cut on the shards.

Meanwhile, it looks like many in the media thought the story was a bit ho-hum to the point that they displayed photos of WJC instead of HRC along with their stories. The author tries to pin the "oversight" on sexism. Personally, I think it is karma.

Good Citizens of c99p, my sister asked me about my spiritual experience lo these many years ago, so I thought I'd dredge up the story from wayy back. I wrote it in 1992, and the events are from 1972. In 1992, the internet wasn't very much, in fact, BBSes ruled the earth. My story got Top Ten stories of all national WWIV BBSes for that year! Things have changed, haven't they? Back then the name "Blue" was easy to obtain. Anyway, hope you enjoy the story itself.

I'm going to type it from the paper exactly as it is printed, no changes (including the archaic BBS header).

The threat that we could elect President a shallow, egotistical grifter whose career can be credited entirely to his father's success and could engage us in a multi-decades war, crush the economy while siphoning the national wealth off to his crony friends and set American jurisprudence back 50 years doesn't scare me.

I've lived through it once already. #GWBUSH
