You don't lie about Nazis, they're awful enough as it is.

Recently the big news has been about the president's crowd at his inauguration, and how the press did or did not lie about how small it was. The allegations have mostly to do with photos, timing of the photos, tons of released info about trips, protests, etc... Essentially, the argument is that the press is cherry picking and creating a narrative that Trump is a loser from day one, and his allies are completely refusing to accept that.

First off, talking about the size of Trump's ANYTHING is giving him the worst kind of attention. It's the kind of attention he needs and wants. It allows him to play victim to his followers, and keeps the focus off of what we SHOULD be paying attention to. Shockingly enough, it plays RIGHT into what the asshat has been saying for the entire election, which is that the media isn't covering the issues and instead is focusing on minutiae to attempt to change the discussion.

So, great job there, Press. You're just doing exactly what you've been doing, and giving the Nazis an EXCUSE to shut you down. I have to paraphrase C.S. Lewis, in that when the enemy mixes in just a LITTLE truth, it makes the lies far, far stronger. And to add my own two cents, when you point out just a little lie by the good guys, it allows evil to claim that EVERYTHING good says is a lie. No, it ain't true, but speaking as one who has seen the power of evil to change world views, even that little opening can be dangerous as hell.

You don't lie about Nazis. You tell the unvarnished truth. You call them con men who are setting up distractions from the real issues. Nazis CAN do good things, but those things are merely a distraction from the environment of hatred and paranoia that they are creating.

So you don't lie about them and try to downplay their victories. You point out when they do the right thing, and focus on the truth, which is that they literally want to kill or export Blacks, Jews, Arabs, and anybody else that doesn't fit their image of a white America. They want to forcefully shove every person who doesn't fit their straight and narrow mold into the closet. The want to engage in wars of conquest with the veneer of democracy and nobility ripped off. They WANT death, destruction and chaos, all with the image of "Building a pure future" firmly in their little brains.

Those little lies about our own side are even more insidious. After all, where did the Nazis get those private prisons, drones, legal system that favors authority and solid majorities to shut down dissent? They certainly didn't get them without tons of support from the Democrats. Every step down this road has been long foreseen and conveniently ignored, until it's time for the DNC to punch Cassandra again, of course.

Lying about Nazis is just flat out stupid. The only reason to do it is if the mirror you hold up to them reflects ugliness that you yourself are unwilling to confront.
