The Fix is In and the Masks are Off

(45 sec)

The corporate oligarchs that run the dimocrap party made it plain this week. They have pulled back the curtain and have revealed themselves to anyone who bothers to look. They want Joe as the nominee, and they will use every lever of power and propaganda at their disposal. I think their hope is that progressives will be demoralized and roll over and take it. But all is not lost (yet). Bernie still has a chance, and we need to redouble our efforts to help him help us. Don't listen to the MSM naysayers reading their teleprompters. There are other events happening that are less hopeful... Julian and Chelsea are still being tortured, war rages in Syria and the ME, Palestinians continue to be shot every Friday for protesting their open air prison, the planet warms as more drilling and pipelines are promoted, a pandemic is spreading across the country and world, and we sit on the brink of economic collapse... compared to those items the fact that Bernie is still in the running is good news.

oil octopus.jpg

I often suggest the corporate coup is complete. It isn't just in the political sphere but across so many areas of our lives. The corporate octopus has its tentacles in almost every aspect of our existence...they control social interactions through FB, Twitter, and so on even throttling what you may chose to watch on YouTube and other platforms. Media outlets are more beholden to the CIA and Wall Street than their readers, listeners, and watchers filling them with misinformation and propaganda. The oligarchs influence our health in numerous ways from poor dietary advice and resulting over medication (to the delight of big pharma) to big Ag and the food industry pushing for GMO crops, CAFO meat, and processed foods (tainted with chemical cocktails)... all the while denying medical care unless you have the do-re-mi. Then you have the fossil fuel octopus maintaining the individual car, highways, fracking and pipeline model. All of this is financed and overseen by the big banks on Wall Street and around the world. I know you can add to this list of ways we are managed and controlled by the corporate oligarch state. This morning the idea of changing time twice yearly in order to encourage you to buy a few more items you don't really want or need in the evening hours comes to mind.

Chris has a nice piece in Truthdig this week on this topic.
https://www.truthdig.com/articles/class-the-little-word-the-elites-want-...

The interests of the rich are not our interests. The truths of the rich are not our truths. The lives of the rich are not our lives. Great wealth not only breeds contempt for those who do not have it but it empowers oligarchs to pay armies of lawyers, publicists, politicians, judges, academics and journalists to censure and control public debate and stifle dissent. Neoliberalism, deindustrialization, the destruction of labor unions, slashing and even eliminating the taxes of the rich and corporations, free trade, globalization, the surveillance state, endless war and austerity — the ideologies or tools used by the oligarchs to further their own interests — are presented to the public as natural law, the mechanisms for social and economic progress, even as the oligarchs dynamite the foundations of a liberal democracy and exacerbate a climate crisis that threatens to extinguish human life.

vote counts.jpg

So they let us vote so we feel like we do have some control over this run away oligarchy. Color me suspicious, but I'm doubtful of the super Tuesday results....and it may be that the reason MSM is already saying Joe has the nomination sown up is because the rig is in and they are making sure he wins. All it takes is a zip drive disc or thumb drive. (5 min)

https://www.truthdig.com/articles/joe-biden-is-a-phony-plain-and-simple/

Biden is the most reliable alternative for corporate America. He has what Sanders completely lacks—vast experience as an elected official serving the interests of credit-card companies, big banks, insurance firms and other parts of the financial services industry. His alignment with corporate interests has been comprehensive. It was a fulcrum of his entire political career when, in 1993, Sen. Biden voted yes while most Democrats in Congress voted against NAFTA.

Welcome to the New Legitimation Crisis: Bernie Sanders vs. the Plutocrats
In these dangerous times, we might be pardoned for finding comic relief in the spectacles that are constantly playing out, as our uncomprehending ruling class stages displays of its own rank incompetence, its unfitness to govern. We might be excused for mocking the emperor's new clothes.

After Super Tuesday, Bernie Must Go All Out to Make the Case for Biden's Unelectability
The gloves must immediately come off when it comes to treating Joe Biden.

The young folks in the Sunrise movement are trying to regroup and are having a phone conference tonight...

It’s important to stay focused on the facts. The media is pushing a story that Biden’s victory is all-encompassing. In reality, he and Bernie are only ~91 delegates apart. To clinch the nomination, Biden needs to win ~53% of remaining delegates. Bernie needs ~56%. And each needs 1,991 delegates total. It’s possible that neither of them will end up with a majority — and this election will be decided at the Democratic National Convention in July.

I’ll be honest, our movement’s successes making the climate crisis and the Green New Deal a top political priority this past year has left me sometimes taking victory for granted. And after we helped Bernie win Iowa, New Hampshire, and Nevada…I started to take this election for granted, too. Tuesday was a rude reminder of the Democratic establishment’s power, and the media’s power to shape a narrative around who is and isn’t electable. Going forward, I’m not taking anything for granted and the stakes are even more clear — we need to build a political revolution not just to make the Green New Deal victorious in this election, but to upend the balance of power in this country for a generation.

As an aside they don't inform us of the actions in Europe...

More from Amy...https://www.truthdig.com/articles/its-medicare-or-coronavirus-for-all/

One thing remains certain: The coronavirus doesn’t care how wealthy you are or what political party you are in. The best way to be sure the person next to you isn’t sick is to make health care available to everyone. The best way to achieve that is through “Medicare for All.”

As President Donald Trump drew harsh rebukes Friday for downplaying the spread of COVID-19 in the U.S., accounts from people on the frontlines of the outbreak that's affected more than 100,000 people worldwide so far revealed a "chilling" lack of urgency from the U.S. government regarding the need to contain the spread of the respiratory illness.

...and from a comment in the clip-

As someone who lives in one of the red zones in Italy, locked down today, the high case fatality rate is probably because a Lot of older people and teens keep ignoring the rules the govt has distributed. Some museums, bars and small art galleries refused to close down as they might suffer strong financial problems and people assumed everything was okay and kept going everywhere, overcrowding public areas and spreading the virus. Only in the past week people started realising things were kind of serious when hospitals and health centres reinforced stricter prevention rules.
I had to pass through the centre today for chores and as it is Saturday and schools are closed and no one was studying, thousands and thousands of people were crowded in shops and in the entire centre you could not step anywhere more than a 50cm further from people in any direction. It looked like a can of sardines. Lots of people just don't take it seriously enough.

Common Symptoms of Coronavirus
The symptoms of most coronaviruses are similar to any other upper respiratory infection, including runny nose, coughing, sore throat, and sometimes a fever. In most cases, you won't know whether you have a coronavirus or a different cold-causing virus, such as rhinovirus.

People can have the virus, yet not exhibit symptoms. What can you do if you get it?

Injected or IV Vitamin C appears to help infected people fight off the virus.

I expect continuing spread over the next few weeks. Be careful and aware, my friends.

There is so much more important news from around the world. Next week we'll try to look beyond US politics and at the larger system. So to wrap things up this week let's try for a little sanity and go out to the garden. You may think it is too early, but think again. Here's some things to plant right now...(9 min)

There has been talk of crooked Hillary being put on as Biden's VP. Then, once they drag Biden across the finish line, he can step aside and let Hillary be the real President. Or, Biden can play the role of George W. Bush, while Hillary plays the role of Dick Cheney.

But whatever happens, the unelected Deep State and Globalists (ruling Class) will be put back in a position of total control and total power over the Country, to renew their original de-Industrialization of the Country plans, and to flood the Country with illegal aliens in order to create a large, low-wage, bloated underclass in the Country, and destroy National Sovereignty and replace it with "New World Order" Global Government.

Also of interest about the 3/15/20 AZ debate...

The only woman remaining in the 2020 race for the White House is calling on her party’s top two competitors to help pressure the Democratic National Committee (DNC) to allow her to participate in an upcoming presidential debate in Phoenix.

Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, D-Hawaii, is now one of only three Democratic candidates still running for president. On Super Tuesday, March 3, she walked away with two delegates from American Samoa, which would have helped her qualify in the previous debate, held Feb. 25 in Charleston, S.C.
USSANews.com

However, the DNC released a new requirement for the March 15 Phoenix debate. Participants for that contest must have at least 20 percent of the pledged delegates, which means only the two leaders — former Vice President Joe Biden and Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt. — qualify.

On Friday night, Gabbard took to social media and appealed to Biden and Sanders to let her join them on the debate stage once again.

“@JoeBiden @Bernie Sanders I’m sure you would agree that our Democratic nominee should be a person who will stand up for what is right. So I ask that you have the courage to do that now in the face of the DNC’s effort to keep me from participating in the debates,” Gabbard tweeted.

She then called out the DNC for changing the debate requirements to allow Mike Bloomberg onto the debate stage.

“To keep me off the stage, the DNC again arbitrarily changed the debate qualifications. Previously they changed the qualifications in the OPPOSITE direction so Bloomberg could debate. I ask that you stand w/ me against the DNC’s transparent effort to exclude me from the debates. #LetTulsiDebate,” she said.

The hashtag #LetTulsiDebate trended on Twitter throughout Friday evening.

Gabbard has not appeared on at a Democratic debate since November. She was also snubbed by CNN’s town hall series despite the liberal network inviting former Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick, whose polling was lower than hers.

Last night I wondered how they were going to provide cover for Biden. They kept Gabbard away, she would have flayed him alive. Softball questions, of course. Leaning hard on Sanders. Town hall format? I didn't think of that one. Reduce the actual number of minutes he has to talk. Thirty second time delay to blank out the worst bits. Lots of commercial breaks when he fails too hard. A panel of pundits afterword to tell us how brilliant his performance is. Who are you going to believe, a highly paid commentator in an expensive suit or your lying eyes?

If that actually comes to pass, there should be viewing parties all over the country. Because one thing is for sure, Donald Trump is not Bernie Sanders. Trump will take the gloves off and he will beat Joe to bloody pulp, leaving him incoherently babbling on the stage like a doddering version of a Tim Conway sketch, except it won't be funny. It will be a train wreck of such colossal proportions, the fallout for everyone concerned will be beyond brutal.

From 2016 to 2020, progressives changed how candidate's campaign, raise money and get the word out on alternative media at a time when no one in the media was talking about the issues working class Americans were talking about. The farther the establishment goes to protect their selfish interest at the peril of the rest of us, the further they expose themselves. Which then begs the question about 2024. What changes will we see by then?

I keep coming back to the fact the one thing they want, need, from us is our vote. After we vote we're not even chopped liver. What can we do? How could we "go on strike"?

Not voting isn't really anything out of the ordinary, and is just a hang your head statistic. Neither party cares if only one person showed up to vote as long as that vote went to them.

If paper ballots are used, maybe turn in a blank ballot? If it's a protest movement, write in a signifying name? What about electronic machines? The important thing is to show up and vote, that lesser of 2 evils doesn't work anymore. That I care enough to vote, give me something to vote for.

This is from a press conference with the spokesperson for the Kirkland, Washington Life Care Center where all the people are dying from the coronavirus.

“Our experience with this so far has shown that the virus is volatile and unpredictable,” Killian said. “We’ve had patients who, within an hour’s time, show no symptoms to going to acute symptoms and being transferred to the hospital. And we’ve had patients die relatively quickly under those circumstances…We know very little about how fast this may act.”
