The Velocity of Bernie
The term wealth redistribution, often used by the mainstream media and critics of Democratic Socialism is an obvious mis-characterization. It implies wealth distribution in the first place. We 99 percenters know, wealth is pooled up at the top with the serious people that run things.
Now I am NOT an economist. So it was a surprise to me to recently learn of the theory of the velocity of money. This metric is defined by the Fed as "the ratio of nominal GDP (gross domestic product) to a measure of the money supply (M1 or M2). It can be thought of as the rate of turnover of the money supply -- that is, the number of times one dollar is used to purchase final goods and services in GDP”
Conservative economists argue that the lack of velocity of money is because the Fed is keeping interest rates too low, which make investors steer clear of interest sensitive investments (money markets, bonds etc). Consumers are not spending because they worry about the economy. But if the latter were true, we would see a large uptick in personal savings. There was briefly in '09 but it has since fallen back.
We all know the economy is dragging. Money supply is mostly pooled as cash in big business and Wall Street speculators. The US consumer is exhausted, both physically and financially. Only one candidate from the two major parties proposes a remedy.

just because they are ruthless at their jobs does not mean
they don't understand the basic economy and its problems.
It is not the first, nor the last such surprising revelation. Look over to the pool of cess which was formerly known as the GOP. They are (reluctantly) admitting that they fucked up. Not just with the economy, not just with Trump, but with their constant attacks and refusal to do their jobs simply because this Obama dude is president.
One thing that Hillarians fail to recognize is that the obstruction that Obama has faced for seven years WILL NOT CHANGE should their inevitable one actually be elected. They ignore, at our peril, the hideous negatives she carries with, and which are seen in every poll that asks the question.
Unfortunately, if Bernie does not prevail, things will be getting far worse. Because of:
We have no disposable income to speak of.
The people are being squeezed, again. People are reverting back to credit card spending, which is a mechanism to enslave us. What's worse, we're enslaved to piss-poor wage jobs. Their plan is working beautifully.
Along comes fly-in-the-ointment Bernie Sanders. If he is not elected POTUS, expect to participate in the fall of the American empire in spectacular fashion. If he is elected POTUS, expect to participate in the rebirth of America in a community-based manner.

But TPTB still saw no problem with squeezing consumers. Short-term grab-and-run? Could they really not have known what would happen? Hard to believe.
All the "recovery" gains have gone to the 1%, and they either sit on most of it or gamble with it, creating bubbles (which always burst). Idiots or crooks or both? I favor both.
I think they will impeach her....

Little doubt
that the GOP will try to impeach HRC if elected. Less doubt that their obstruction of her will be far greater than they did with PBO. Almost a certainty that the only legislation that does get passed will be as a result of compromise from the Dem side only, i.e., the GOP's best offer. And if she's nominated rather than Bernie, that's what we have to look forward to if she wins and a Republican doesn't prevail.

But I think her chances are poor in the general.
Despite so many Hillarians' claims that she has been tested and under attack by RW zealots, it actually is not the case. Her election to the senate was a cakewalk. No attacks by the media, a pathetic opponent (sacrificial lamb, as it were) and no pressure.
As SexState, she was a minor improvement over her kinda sleazy predecessor, but her judgment and her approach was a horror. Self-dealing, Foundation based bribes, and terrible ideas on Syria, Libya, Honduras, Ukraine, and more.
Trump is one of the best at finding someone's weakness and tearing them a new one. Any Hillarian who thinks that she has the innate talent to stand up to his body blows is deluded. She will be destroyed and little more than a bloody pulp when he is done with her.
Trump has two targets:

Gonna be fun to watch Donald go after Jeffrey Epstein! Bill's bff.
What ammunition - don't need opposition research in that election. Just read the news.

Dynasty pick
I think people underestimate the negative impact the dynastic family connection will have for her in the general. The Clinton hate runs deep. The last time we had a dynasty pick it was Dubya. Disaster. JEB wasn't a great candidate to begin with, but he didn't exactly win over hearts and minds with the family connections. The general election approach for Hillary will leave little to the imagination and I can't see how it works in the Democrats favor. Shortest coattails in history IMO.
