Tit for tat. China publishes "Human Rights Record of the United States in 2016"

The following is China's response to the US government's 2016 Human rights report on China.

What more can I say? The US had forgot all about kettles and pots, the goose and gander, stones and glass windows, motes and beams.

Enjoy.

State Council Information Office of the People's Republic of China
March 2017

Foreword

On March 3 local time, the State Department of the United States released its country reports on human rights practices, posing once again as "the judge of human rights". Wielding "the baton of human rights," it pointed fingers and cast blame on the human rights situation in many countries while paying no attention to its own terrible human rights problems. People cannot help asking about the actual human rights situation of the United States in 2016.

The Chinese have written a version of this response numerous times over the years. They generally deliver it to the State Department.

What's brutal is the in-depth Human Rights studies that come out of the UN, which outline the US human rights abuses committed against the American people. (Which explains why we only appoint psychopaths to UN Ambassador positions, and why UN news is not covered by the US media.) Every nation that participates in the Human Rights council at the UN, gets to take the mic and tell the US how to correct its atrocities against its people, and which ones to fix first. The hatred is palpable.

Some 20 years ago, the UN developed a declaration of the Human Rights of the Child. Like the 1948 Declaration of Universal Human Rights, it was ratified unanimously — except by the United States. Their excuse? Brainwashed Americans heard on the radio that if they ratify anything at the UN, it will supersede US law. They believe US will no longer be a Christian nation and will be forced to use Sharia Law, that the US will lose its national sovereignty. Plus, their kids will get forced sex education, forced education about evolution, and will get to make their own decisions about gender and religion. And, for good measure, the UN will take their guns away. "Jade Helm!"

You can tell Americans that UN resolutions have no effect on any nation's laws and there is no "Agenda 21" — but they won't believe you. Americans only trust their ancient slave-owners Constitution, which confers on them no human rights. To say that the entire world is acutely aware of US social insanity would be an understatement.

The US is in the UN solely to veto all criticism of Israel, which they can phone in.

The political system is what it is because the People are who they are. — Plato
Roy Blakeley's picture

We have so many problems that we choose to ignore rather than fix. Like in so many things there was a paradigm shift with Reagan. Carter and previous Presidents were not perfect people but they generally acknowledged problems, at least to some extent, and tried to fix them. Reagan just said we are a shining city on a hill, we are wonderful, and its morning again in America, while ignoring fundamental problems. Since then national politics have increasingly become disconnected from reality. Economic statistics are fudged to make thinks look better, embarrassing statistics are ignored by the media, all our soldiers are proclaimed heros, no matter what they have done, many proclaim that we have the best medical system in the world even though our life expectancy is about 35th in the world and dropping. It takes clear eyes, hard work and fair taxes for a country to be great. Pretending doesn't work forever.

Is America slipping? Second place globally for greatest numbers of imprisoned citizens?

... The United States had the second highest prisoner rate, with 693 prisoners per 100,000 of the national population (www.statista.com, April 2016). There had been 70 million Americans incarcerated - that's almost one in three adults - with some form of criminal record (harvardlawreview.org, January 5, 2017).

I know! Trump having the users of recreational/medical marahoochi arrested in States where it's been legalized will bring USA! USA! USA! back to NO 1! NO 1! NO 1! in this important area of citizen repression and make America great again!

See, Trump's got this, just as it was always being said that Obama did.

Psychopathy is not a political position, whether labeled 'conservatism', 'centrism' or 'left'.

A tin labeled 'coffee' may be a can of worms or pathology identified by a lack of empathy/willingness to harm others to achieve personal desires.
