RT banks accounts blocked in UK, Assange account shut down
The National Westminster Bank has informed RT UK that it will no longer have the broadcaster among its clients. The bank provided no explanation for the decision.
“We have recently undertaken a review of your banking arrangements with us and reached the conclusion that we will no longer provide these facilities,” NatWest said in a letter to RT’s London office.
The bank said that the entire Royal Bank of Scotland Group, of which NatWest is part, would refuse to service RT.
RT is sill up and running in Dominica and I will hope that RT moves its accounts to Dominica or the Caymans (or wherever) where they won't be fucked with. I am also urging a boycott of any and all of the banks involved in censoring free speech and other shenanigans. If not already using them, local credit unions, folks!

They would love to silence Assange and RT. The corporate media has managed to mislead most folks. If they could just control the internet as well as broadcast and print media, they could mislead us all. There is some evidence they tried to kill Assange a couple of months ago. It comes as no surprise that Kerry would pressure Ecuador to turn him over or else...
I suspect the internet will become a primary target after the election. Even though you have to search and filter through it, there are nuggets of truth.

It has been 7 hours since the last twitter activity from Julius Assange on #Wikileaks. or related channels. I am checking to see if the entire Ecuadorian embassy is being blocked. There are protesters guarding the entrance to the Ecuadorian Embassy, but we have no idea what has gone on during the past seven hours. Whatever contingency plans have not yet kicked in.

I have seen a couple pages of these and they confirm under oath what the right wing secret service authors and personnel have been saying in their books and videos: H. Clinton is a nasty person to work for and does not respect the Secret Service assigned to keep her safe. She also turns out to be a serial thief of government property... the files from the FBI include testimony that she was looting State Department property to take home to her mansion.

I am what the Russians would call an optimist
There is a joke in Russia on the difference between an pessimist and optimist. A pessimist thinks couldn't possibly get worse. A optimist believes they can get worse.
But joke aside, all of this state sponsored censorship will get worse. Here in the states we see the criminalization of reporting in North Dakota. We see CNN claiming that reading Wikileaks is a crime. The people in Mudville (guess the site) are joyous over the cutting off of Assange. And now RT.
But something is looming which could have enormous implications for free speech. It appears the EU is considering cutting off total access to Russian media at least in Europe. There is talk about cutting off RT distribution through satellites, and a shutdown of web access to Russian-based news sites. The American ideal about "bad speech" is that you don't censor it, but reply with better speech. If this happens, will be interesting how Facebook and others will react as I believe the Russian Defense Ministry has a page there.
In reading what EU and NATO officials say about Russia related media, they speak about them as part of an "information war". Speech is now war. One point of attack against RT is that gives voice to marginalized and I guess radical groups. I don't watch RT television as I have no television, but I will scan rt.com, and if anything, they have a tendency to give leftist groups a forum. For example, they had a live feed of the recently held Left Forum which featured speakers like Medea Benjamin. As a Nation article said, RT in America was the only media reporting on a wide spread prison strike against slave labor. NO major media covered it.
As an optimist, this situation can only get worse.
Equador Cut Assange Internet

...people keeping vigilance at the Ecuadorian Embassy, and although there are a number of black Land Rovers with tinted glass, and a Brinks truck pulled up to the back door... there has been nobody who has seen Julius Assange. People are justifiably worried.
With Europe threatening to ban RT news altogether. I suppose that means I will have to repost articles from freedom base in the Caribbean...
One thing that is pissing me off is that Trump, who is as nasty a fucking facist as Clinton could ever be, is the one who is filling twitter with the Podesta email leaks.. I don't see a left progressive analysis of the leaks. Clinton is responsible for anything that happens to Assange and Wikileaks. I will hope that if she has done something that hackers around the world will destroy her and her cronies.
Its depressing though because Kick Ass Torrentz disappeared in one minute, its coder arrested and jailed, all the servers destroyed... OK, we still have The Pirate Bay as a survival model. My guess (my hope) is that WikiLeaks has a good contingency plan and will survive.
