Remember, everyone:
Peace is only good if it's proposed by someone with a (D) next to their name, so at least a couple of outraged (D) Senators have decided to take matters into their own hands.
Senators move to prevent Trump from removing US troops in South Korea
Here's the headline:
A pair of Senate Democrats introduced a bill Wednesday that would prevent President Donald Trump from unilaterally drawing down the American troop presence on the Korean peninsula – not necessarily because he’s said he will, but because they don’t want to rely on his word that he won’t.
It's totally amusing watching all of the Democrats on one's Facebook feed join the war party. What's the cause of their panic?
“At some point, I have to be honest. I used to say this during my campaign… I want to bring our soldiers back home. We have 32,000 soldiers in South Korea. I would like to be able to bring them back home. That’s not part of the equation. At some point, I hope it would be,” he said.
Perhaps we could invite all of our Dem friends to our homes for hair-tearing parties?

"I would like to bring the troops home from ..."
... South Korea, but first we have to "win".
... Afghanistan, but first we have to "win".
... Syria, but first we have to "win".
And we don't seem to be able to "win" any more.

"win" ning
We've never been able to "win", and the powers that be don't want us to "win".
To "win" most of these interventionist scrapes, we'd have to kill all the locals ("and let God sort 'em out" -- Arnaud Amalric, Beziers, France, 22 July 1209 CE). The sole "win" over Afghanistan in history was fought in just that way by Genghis Khan, so we even have proof in that specific case.
The ordinary American people -- the people who supply the vast majority of the troops -- won't tolerate such obvious deliberate genocide. Hence, these low-intensity wars which aren't fought to win, but to perpetuate the wars themselves, forever, for the MIC's profit$.

I could lie and claim that I was completely shocked by this.
But, nah.
Honestly, I am totally glad those detention centers are TOTALLY NOT REAL
Oh wait. No. They totally ARE REAL.
But now apparently we get to notice them... but only if we blame one guy for them and not the MIC that built, paid and runs them.
Fuck it, here's music about the 1% mindset to help take my mind off of it.

I do not pretend I know what I do not know.
Korea's a good start.
Then about another hundred bases or so.
I wondered what "we" were still doing in Germany when Uncle Sam sent me there in the '70s, nearly 40 years after WWII. Then I saw their troops up close, as they shared a 4-day training exercise with us. Dear lord, I thought We were bad. The Boy Scouts would have kicked their ass! Nearly 70 years after Korea I suspect S. Korea can take care of themselves.

Well,
I do not even have to ask myself why I hate the Democratic party so much.
Do I hear the sound of guillotines being constructed?
