Good morning,
el and all.
Woke up to strong winds. Now a light drizzle. Supposed to be a decent weather day though. Low 50s.
No news; just dropped in to say hello.
Hope all goes well, el.
Good morning, OLinda. Hope your weather gets mellow.
Thanks for dropping in.

It's five a.m., or pretty close. Today it will be hot again, shorts and a tank top yesterday. Confusing.

Edited to add: more aitches. Also, there are monks nearby so I visited their weather page and now I have another question isn't the world wide web great? I'm sure some one here can 'splain this phenomenon, I'm not getting it:

Splained the chart, but not the quote, my bad. Dewpoint is
temperature at which precipitation begins. If below actual temp, no dew/rain. Once it hits actual temp rain/dew starts, so conceptually, it cannot go higher insofar as it is already raining.

"an ultrasound of all things" comma comedian
Anyone else wonder what that could mean? Is el having all things ultrasounded, or, of all things, an ultrasound? Kidding aside, that means something is adrift. I hope results come back the right way. I shouldn't talk about lack of commas ... instant comma!
parts are parts
Appointment is a bit later, comma should be inserted.
I won't be here when this posts, I have to go get an ultrasound, of all things.
Thanks for the catch.
So, no dew for you, 2 degree temp decline from midnight is fun to consider, but assuming relatively stable barometer, water vapor is erratic, or vice versa.

What about the dew drop?
Yow it is dry, and the forecast here is for cooler. Back to long pants.

Good morning everybody
The day is starting out cool and lovely here. I hope to get the last of my bushogging done today. Just have a spot or two left. I like to leave cover for the deer during the season (which is almost over), and get mowed out before the turkey nest. I still hope to burn one patch before spring to promote the wild flowers. There's always something to do around the homestead!
Last week we went up to Hiwasee, TN to see the sand hill cranes.
http://tnbirds.org/IBA/SitePages/Hiwasee.htm.
My partner is headed out to the Wheeler wildlife Refuge today. https://alabamabirdingtrails.com/sites/wheeler-national-wildlife-refuge-...
Sometimes there are whooping cranes among the 1000's of sandhills, but we didn't see any last week. They often fly over. I hear them before I see them. They fly high but their "chorkle" carries pretty far. They can be heard up to 2.5 miles away and are given on the ground as well as in flight, when the flock may be very high and hard to see. They also give moans, hisses, gooselike honks, and snoring sounds. Chicks give trills and purrs.

I'm glad I don't have to migrate so far every year! Hope you all have a good day at home or in your travels.

Good morning, Lookout, thanks for the report. Love to watch
the cranes dance, but it has been years since we've gone out to see them (in the Delta).

Twenty five years after
"Doppler" radar and all kinds of fancy schmancy high fallutin' high tech this and that, the weatherman STILL can't forecast much beyond 48 hours - same as the teevee weatherman did 55 years ago. I happened to bump in to our local yokel tv (and radio) weatherman 9 or ten years ago, him long since retired, in a Big Box store and asked him, "hey, Danny Bee! You don't happen to have the tapes of your weather forecasts do you?" Sadly, no, he didn't. I wanted to digitize them, and just drag out the one needed for that day. "Sunny and 45." He was the quintessential weatherman, and after 30 years in the biz had made every possible weather forecast for this area one possibly could. Figured he could be making forecasts here - digitally - forever. Alas...

Actually, all things considered, they do pretty good in the
sense of "3 or 4 day warming trend followed by probable rain" but will never be able to achieve "next Thursday's high will be 63". At least around here, that is.
