How A Cat Nurse Takes Vitals
I have this whole Nurse Pixie thing figured out. All over Mom since I got home.
Pixie: 4:30 a.m. :tap: tap: tap:
Me: mumble sleep
Pixie: tap: tap: tap: Mom wake up
Me: mumble roll over
Pixie: tap: tap: tap: Mom I said wake up and roll over
Me: I'm trying to sleep
Pixie: bam: bam: bam: I said roll over on your right side!
Me: roll over
Pixie: Go back to sleep. Hmm okay cuddles up close. Heart sounds good. No wheezing. No shortness of breath. Okay vitals taken.
Pixie: 6:30 a.m. :tap: tap: tap: wake up time for vitals
Me: I'm asleep
Pixie: tap: tap: tap: I said wake up!
Me: grumble
Pixie: bam: bam: bam: right side. There that's better go back to sleep. Cuddles close and okay woke Mom up two hours ago. No stress on heart from being woken up. No wheezing. No shortness of breath. Okay vitals done.
Me: wake up about 7:30 a.m. to use bathroom.
Pixie: Back to bed. Curls up on bed. I curl up. Next memory waking up around 10:30 a.m. with cat curled by my side.
And that is how a cat takes vitals.
