I introduced this song to my beloved Dad.
God, he loved it!
Seems in this video, the people most enthused about it were the musicians! Must have been a blast to play it!

He had to take dressage and jumping lessons at Ft. Knox.
Riding along a wall with your horse's head turned away from travel direction is called "shoulder in". A trained nod to the king or emperor.
Trotting in place, extremely hard on a horses' haunches is the piaffe. The hopping, syncopated trot is the passage. Getting a horse to move sideways and cross his legs is the half pass.
The rearing, rearing and jumping, rearing and kicking, are the Airs Above The Ground, and no competitions for dressage require them.
But I was in that place, saw those chandeliers, was fortunate enough to have a seat, not have to stand on the second floor balcony.
I was so close, I could hear them breathe, catch the eye of a rider.
The sound system was AWESOME!
Their finale is always the Col.Rodedtsky March!

could piaffe, passage, half pass, etc...
He didn't have the strength to do 15 piaffes to make Grand Prix, but he could do 6. And canter chnanges. He could flip canter leads, 10 times, but hot the Grand Prix requirement. He could half pass and extended trot all 45 minute lesson, and Denny was just so wonderful! I bought him from some guy who's kid fell off of him. Fire sale price.
He was an Arabian mixed up with paint horse which is mixed up with thoroughbred/quarter horse.
I have had vets over the years tell me that he was the most remarkable horse they had ever had in their clinic. He loved everybody. So cooperative.
But he reserved his kisses on the lips, that special love, was reserved for me.
Kisses on the lips.
Every time he saw me. He would run up to me just to give me a kiss.
On the lips. Every day. All day long.
Made the incentive for finding a man lover very pointless. Denny was my total satisfaction, and no doubt, Denny knew it!
I had him put down, am still not over it, may never get over it, but I will always remember the hundreds of kisses on the lips.
You just think that some man or woman kissed you was the Bomb, baby. Not even close.
The ultimate kiss on the lips is from a horse.
