Our weather has turned considerably cooler, which we are enjoying--good excuse to put the fire pit to some use! Family will arrive by late tomorrow and/or early Saturday; so, between chores/preparation, I'll be able to catch up on EB's from last week.

Thanks! Had a very nice time. Enjoyed the sound of sandhill cranes passing overhead, mixed flock of bluebirds and robins, flickers and others. Very quiet and peaceful out on the lake. Hope all had a great Thanksgiving.

at the North Atlantic JAZZ Fest of all events. Rainy Day in Rockland Harbour. Bought this cd and another of his. He signed them both as we spent a few minutes talking about the area. He said he had No idea it would be that shilly in the summer. I laughed and welcomed him to Maine!

Alone for a change. Missed seeing the relatives but they are all in other states. Was nice to just be home.

Then went kayaking on a Corps of Engineers reservoir in the middle of reservation. Only boat on the lake! Saw a variety of birds including a flock of blue birds, always a bonus.

My deepest condolences, BR. I know that you
mentioned that he was very ill a while back; I also know from experience that it doesn't necessarily make it any easier (when you lose a pet). He was such a handsome and dapper boy.
I had started blogging, so I posted a Memoriam in tribute to 'Murphee' when we lost her several years ago. I'm convinced that it was helpful (to me) in the healing process.
