Wonder much about the eerie blank demeanor of Erin Burnett, who delivers the 7:00 o’clock news on CNN? I sure do. It’s a creepy kind of fraught blankness, like what the Vietnam grunts used to call the thousand-yard stare, denoting their guilty involvement in a morally odious enterprise. Of course, one must follow CNN in order to discern what fresh bullshit the governing regime is serving up day-to-day from its steam-table of perfidy and bad faith. Does the lady hate her job that much? Or does that farbissiner face signify mere simmering contempt for the audience of deplorable elderly gorks receiving said bullshit over their pitiful TV trays of Ensure on Froot Loops? Or maybe a miniature Donald Trump lives in her head dressed in a little red devil suit with horns, stabbing her parietal lobes with his tiny pitchfork?

Seeing as how Ms. Burnett is the mouthpiece for the Progressive Woke news media in the primest evening slot, does that glowering visage represent the peculiar joylessness of the political Left, a movement steeped in a special kind of shame induced by the irritating failure of its ideas to comport with reality? This is the joylessness of people bunkered too deep in anomie to even find pleasure in their own sadism. Thus, the hint of bored indignation: how dare you not believe the bullshit I am delivering on behalf of your betters… who know what’s good for you?

Or maybe the girl is just on quaaludes.

Anyway, nothing serves as a better barometer of how things are going in the struggle over the fate of this tortured land than Erin Burnett’s scowling puss. And where is this country going? I will tell you: straight into a dark passage of the profoundest political discord, an epochal nightmare of loss and death brought on, it begins to seem, deliberately, by the folks in charge. They are being found out, and the fact that they remain in charge spells ever more obvious danger among all concerned as the truth of their crimes emerges.

Sunday, at the March Against Mandates in our nation’s capital, the resistance to Covid vaccine tyranny laid it out, none with plainer eloquence than Bobby Kennedy:

We love the United States Constitution. And we have witnessed over the past 20 months a coup d’etat against democracy and the demolition, the controlled demolition of the United States Constitution and the Bill of Rights. And starting with the censorship. James Madison, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson all said the same thing: we put freedom of speech in the first amendment because all of the other rights that we were trying to protect relied on that right. If you give government the license to silence its critics, you have given them the capacity to commit any atrocity they want, and to obliterate all the amendments and rights in the constitution.

The message is getting through and the tyrants are running scared. They are perhaps having bad dreams involving torches and pitchforks. Naturally CNN took the lead in attempting to defame Mr. Kennedy as an anti-Semite for mentioning the name of Anne Frank in alluding to the Nazi insanity of the last century and people’s desperate efforts to escape it. CNN said:

The son of former Attorney General and presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy has a long history of spreading vaccine misinformation…. Sunday’s event, billed as a protest against vaccine mandates, featured speakers repeatedly spreading misinformation about vaccines and showcased several bigoted comparisons to the Holocaust. At least one man was seen displaying a yellow Star of David, which Jews were required by law to wear as an identifier in Nazi Germany.

So, wearing a Star of David now makes you an insurrectionist in the twisted logic of Wokery. How stupid and confused are they? Anyway, heroes emerge out of adversity. Let them pile it on, insulting history and reality. In fact, Bobby Kennedy stood in the cold at the Lincoln Memorial as a heroic figure for these times, giving a speech that carefully and succinctly denoted the stupendous criminality of the US public health bureaucracy and the corporate-government fascist partnership with Pharma Inc. that has poisoned hundreds of millions of Americans in a medical experiment that has only begun to kill possibly more people than the Nazis ever dreamed of murdering. There has not been a more important public utterance in this land than RFK Jr.’s since this century began.

Meanwhile, the Covid tyranny collapses across Western Civ. Prime Minister Boris Johnson of the UK tossed his country’s entire Covid restriction program into the dumpster last week as the truth about vaccine failure and injuries became impossible to avoid. The Czech Republic and Ireland followed. France made noises about lifting her policies in February. For now, Germany and Austria remained locked-into their Teutonic obedience neurosis, but how much longer can that last? Or does it finally break up the EU? Large street protests rocked European cities Sunday, too. The vaccines have lost their credibility as sacred totems against the accelerating chaos in the advanced nations of the world, who stand to lose the very advancements in prosperity, comfort, and convenience they enjoyed in the centuries of energy super-abundance.

What awaits now is mayhem in the financial markets, the banking system, and national currencies — underway even as you read this. It’s not enough that the people of Western Civ have been battered by a contrived assault on their physical health; now they’ll watch themselves go broke and hungry. Maybe even the monsters of idiocy behind president “Joe Biden” can cook up a world-beating hypersonic war over a country we have next-to-zero national interest in just to make things perfect. I can’t wait to see the look on Erin Burnett’s face as the history of the future unspools.

This is exactly what we have been seeing, but it started before Covid if y’all remember. During Russia Gate anyone who didn’t toe the democrats line on it starting with Alex Jones. He may have gotten kicked off for other reasons too tho. I’m still amazed at how many shitlibs still cheer when someone gets kicked off social media because they said something that they don’t agree with and boy did they cheer when the president of the USA got banned. Leaders in other countries were appalled by it, but not so much people in our government.

What’s even more appalling is that it isn’t stopping at censorship, but going on to ruin many brilliant doctor's careers. Look at what happened to Dr. Maric just to name one. McCollough is being sued and is over $150,000 in debt for defending himself. Malone's work has been defamed and there are so many others to add to the list. And still people cheer. It’s going to be very interesting to see what happens when republicans get back in charge. They are already lining up things to bring against democrats.

In all the hit pieces I’ve seen on the mandates protest I haven’t seen anyone addressing what they said. Just that Kennedy was anti Semitic. Seems attacking the messenger is all they got, but not the message.

He nailed it.

The Neocons' Primary War Tactic: Branding Opponents of U.S. Intervention as Traitors

By rehabilitating neocons and elevating them as thought leaders, liberals live in their framework. Thus are opponents of U.S. involvement in Ukraine deemed treasonous.

One of the most bizarre but important dynamics of Trump-era U.S. politics is that the most fanatical war-hungry neocons, who shaped Bush/Cheney militarism, have become the most popular pundits and thought leaders in American liberalism. They have not changed in the slightest — they are employing the same tactics they have always invoked, and for the same causes — but they have correctly perceived that their agenda is better served by migrating back to the Democratic Party which originally spawned their bloodthirsty ideology.

Some dem mouthpiece is calling Tucker Carlson Tuckyo Rose because she says he is defending Putin and repeating his talking points for calling out how stupid it is for Biden to be playing games with a nuclear armed country. She just made Greenwald's point. Shitlibs put their faith in people who they once thought should be in prison for their previous actions like John Brennan, James Clapper and others from the intelligence agencies. Good grief!

https://popularrationalism.substack.com/p/cnn-spreads-dangerous-misinfor...

The irony of CNN’s article is thick: it has stooped to a new low in an attempt to spread hatred against the non-vaccinated and sow division under false claims that the event was antisemitic.

In a hit piece on Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., CNN has claimed that Kennedy’s remarks about the stark nature of the suppression of Constitutional rights of citizens in the US currently being held under vaccine house arrest as “antisemitic”. It also claims that Kennedy “exploited” the suffering of people who died in Nazi Germany.

This opportunistic use of false claims of bigotry weakens the ability to fight true antisemitism when it truly does arise, and Kennedy was not “exploiting” anything. He drew a contrasting comparison, reminding people that people’s rights to appear safely in public without persecution have been trampled in the past.

The CNN article claims that signs at the rally affirm antisemitism in the crowd (as if Jewish people are the only ones that perform circumcision), and makes other incredulous stretches of logic to try to cast the event and the participants as “antisemitic”.

The piece by CNN is a slaggish piece of yellow journalism, with not even an attempt to appear to be unbiased. The journalistic sloth of its authors is noteworthy, and the article should be used by schools of journalism as a good example of tripe masquerading as journalism.

CNN neglected to report on one of the most beautiful, loving speeches I have ever heard, by anyone, by Rabbi Zev Epstein, who challenged people from all walks of life to “choose the good”.

They failed to report that Jewish, Christian, and Muslim speakers - and speakers of no particular faith - united in Washington with a common message: America has woken up, and the people are taking back every inch of our country from the Pharma overlords whose influence on public health policy is dwindling. The people of America now know that when the FDA won’t back yet another booster, Pharma will try to avoid standard, required regulatory processes, instead, appealing to an elected President to unilaterally decree a mandate, involving meetings with the Biden administration that included neither members of Congress nor the public.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. invokes Nazi Germany in offensive anti-vaccine speech

At a rally against vaccine mandates in Washington, DC, on Sunday, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. likened vaccine policies in the US to the actions of a totalitarian state, even suggesting Anne Frank was in a better situation when she was hiding from the Nazis.

"Even in Hitler Germany (sic), you could, you could cross the Alps into Switzerland. You could hide in an attic, like Anne Frank did," said Kennedy, a prominent anti-vaccine advocate, in a speech at the Lincoln Memorial. "I visited, in 1962, East Germany with my father and met people who had climbed the wall and escaped, so it was possible. Many died, true, but it was possible."

Kennedy's historically inaccurate anti-Semitic remark ignores the fact that Frank and some 6 million other Jews were murdered by Nazis. Frank, who was a teenager at the time, hid in an attic in the Netherlands, not Germany, before she was caught and was sent to a concentration camp, where she died.

The Auschwitz Memorial responded to Kennedy in a statement on Twitter, saying, "Exploiting of the tragedy of people who suffered, were humiliated, tortured & murdered by the totalitarian regime of Nazi Germany - including children like Anne Frank - in a debate about vaccines & limitations during global pandemic is a sad symptom of moral & intellectual decay."

Sunday's event, billed as a protest against vaccine mandates, featured speakers repeatedly spreading misinformation about vaccines and showcased several bigoted comparisons to the Holocaust. At least one man was seen displaying a yellow Star of David, which Jews were required by law to wear as an identifier in Nazi Germany.

While language referencing totalitarianism was common throughout the speeches, references to the Holocaust were found largely on signs, one of which read, "Make the Nuremberg Code great again!" and another read, "Bring back the Nuremberg Trials." The Nuremberg Code delineated "permissible medical experiments" on human subjects and stated that such experiments must be for the good of society and satisfy moral, ethical and legal concepts. The code was established during the prosecution of German doctors who subjected Jews to torturous medical experiments. (They also say that any medical treatment must be free of coercion and given after people have received informed consent. Threatening people with loss of their jobs goes against the code as does bribing people with money, scholarships and everything else that was used to pressure people into getting jabbed with a product that didn’t go through complete trials nor is there any long term studies on whether they actually work or what they might do to people’s health. And Pfizer and our DOJ are fighting to keep their information on them from seeing the light of day for 75 years. Seems to me that goes against the Nuremberg code.

The three vaccines available in the United States are safe and effective at preventing severe Covid-19 illness and death. They were studied in large clinical trials that included thousands of people, and more than 210 million people in the United States have been fully vaccinated since the vaccines were authorized for emergency use by the US Food and Drug Administration.

The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says the benefits of vaccination outweigh the risks, and it continues to monitor for potential safety issues. Some people experience brief, mild side effects such as headache, muscle pain and swelling at the injection site after vaccination, the CDC says, but serious complications are rare.

No discussion on any of what the doctors mentioned about the dangers of the vaccines nor that unelected people were the ones who advised Trump to shut down the country that caused hundreds of thousands of businesses to permanently close down while the big box stores were allowed to stay open and make record profits. But calling what Kennedy said about our loss of rights anti Semitic is hitting below the belt. Sad that people spent years in journalism school only to sell their integrity for money and to help further an evil agenda.

If you haven’t read this it’s worth a full read. Or at least glance at it.

Bobby Kennedy, Jr. spoke the Truth.

https://enewspaper.nydailynews.com/html5/desktop/production/default.aspx...
Right on cue, his wife Cheryl Hines speaks up for the PMC. (Cheryl plays Larry David's ex-wife on Curb Your Enthusism)

Cheryl is protesting the "anti-semitic" nature of RFK, Jrs remarks. JFK, Jr apologizes.

I call bullshit. There was no anti-semitism, explicit or implied. This is a time tested strategy of the Corporate Media to discredit anti-authoritarian voices.

During Jermey Corbin's campaign Corbyn's gathering support in the UK alarmed the Owners and Donors so they orchestrated an anti-semitic smear campaign. It was false.

Here is the reason Jeremy lost: The # 1 issue in the UK at the time of this election---in fact the ONLY Issue that was on the minds of the voters was Brexit. Jeremy Corbin NEVER stated his view on Brexit, For it or Against it. As far as I know, he still has not articulated any view on the only subject the UK cared about and voted on.

This is identical to the recent win in Virginia when the GOP candidate talked to his constituents about their kids schooling and how Covid restrictions were damaging them long-term. The Democrat danced around the stage entertaining himself and was forced to exit stage left.

The combined Left/Right arms of the anti-authoritarian forces will remain marginal unless and until several things happen; 1) Voices like Joe Rogan and C99 can be heard in an ever widening slab of the electorate, and 2) We can get some well known names and faces to assist our struggle.

Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen have both sold off their musical rights for multiple millions of dollars. What is preventing them from speaking out? Bob on his anti-war stances and Bruce on his working class roots

I watched 2 videos, from Dr. Vinay Prasad (who I really like) and Drbeen Medical Lectures (no typo)
First the lecture. It is a little long and dry, but uses hard data from the CDC. (provided by Kaiser) Normally I would not trust either the CDC or Kaiser, but this data contradicts the official propaganda, so is much more believable. The lecture begins with the obligatory claim thet "omicron kills", but the body of the lecture redeems that statement. (not from the lecture - the NHS (England and Wales, apparently not Scotland)) say that since November there have been 180 deaths with, not by, omicron, 6 where the primary cause has not been determined. Point: 180 deaths in 10 weeks would be a record low day for America. The study took 53,000 omicron patients and 17,000 delta patients. Point - by the time of the study delta was less than 5% of covid cases. No omicron patients were on ventilators and none have died vs 11 delta patient deaths. I would like to see a comparison with normal flu, but that is asking too much for now.
Dr. Prasad gave a very thoughtful discussion on whether "the pandemic did it or was it our decisions". He is much more polite than I would be, but I do not think that it is confirmation bias to come away thinking that much of our response to covid is paranoia.

snoopydawg's picture

And still Fauci and Walensky have stated that there have been no deaths from the vaccines. They are flat out lying to the people who pay their salaries. They must be held accountable for the deaths they are telling us haven’t happened. You think people in congress don’t know what Johnson has been covering? The horrible injuries that people who had one are left on their own to deal with? AOC got funerals covered if people die from the Rona, but no one is talking about reimbursement for people who have died from the vaccines. It’s going to be a wash that so many elderly died and won’t be needing social security and Medicare because even more people will try to get social security disability. But the cynical part of me thinks that they will come up with a way to deal with that. Billions out of thin air for any military need, but years of hearings on getting help to we the people who keep getting screwed. Agent Orange took people decades to get financial help as well as the 1st responders from 9/11 after Christine Whitman told them that the air was safe to breathe. How are the military cases for the burn pits of Iraq going? Bueller….?

No matter how they count the miles it looks like there are a great many truckers involved with this. But what makes it even more great is how MANY people are supporting them. It looks like roads in many cities are lined with people braving the cold and snow to show their support for the truckers. The energy being shown by people is palpable isn’t it? I hope that this doesn’t peter out because it could be a game changer. People have donated $5 million to support truckers, but gfm might be interfering with the distribution of funds. People also donated tons of food and truckers were supposed to get it at a rest stop, but cops have closed it down. Dumb shits. Can’t they see that eventually the PTB will come for them?

One cop lady working for ICE posted a video showing her support and last I saw she was in trouble for doing it. She was in uniform so maybe that’s why. A year ago truckers and nurses were heroes for working through the epidemic, but now the owners are making them the bad guys. F the owners! Go truckers!

Unbelievable!

Sounds like some people are getting nervous about the little people acting up. Good! They should be.

There are tons of videos showing how big this is and it’s great to see so many people supporting it. Most of the truckers have been jabbed, but they are fighting not only against mandatory jabs, but to get their freedoms back. They want Trudeau to exit office or reverse the freedom grabs he’s taken. This is the kind of action that scares the pants off the PTB. Unfortunately they are making driverless trucks and some are already on the road. They are working fast too to get the robots out to many industries. I hope they are thinking about what will happen when millions of people have no income. People who have nothing left to lose are not just going to take it. But then that’s one reason why they militarized the police isn’t it? And if they won’t fight against their neighbors that’s why gawd made private contractors. Blehh!

I feel somewhat conflicted. The strength of the protest is encouraging, yet I also feel a niggling discomfort in it being somewhat driven by far-right and religious ideology.

For me the ideal would be that its strength comes from a broader place of compassion and understanding of what is best for humanity.

I know this sounds a bit vague and distrustful, but that’s just where I am at the moment. I do hope that the support grows much broader, and wonder whether I am feeling too sceptical.

Something similar with tractors, but on a much smaller scale, happened here 6 months ago. Nothing transformative resulted. I know of course the timing and context is very different, but it’s still hard for me to believe that ‘little people’ these days can engineer a real change, if at the same time identifying with far-right or religious ideology. As always time will tell, and I still hold hope for something more united, supportive and productive for humanity.

than the "far right" and "religious support". TPTB are just trying to portray it as such in order to discredit the movement. In Canada those two factors are middle of the road in comparison to the US.

That was a fine photograph on the front page of the National Post on Wednesday — a picture of the stretched-out line of trucks east of Calgary and some supporters cheering on the Freedom Convoy from the side of the Trans-Canada. The photograph captured a real event. It’s not routine business. The convoy has many dimensions.

It’s not like protests have been rigged before or taken over by whomever would benefit from them like you mention the tractor rallies. They didn’t just happen in your country, but in France and others and then they went nowhere. This seemed genuine to me just because of how many people are supporting them, but I guess time will tell if they are. I don’t think it’s weird that you are queen questioning their validity. We have been setup too many times before. I guess it will depend on what comes from them.

But I don’t see how they can be co-opted by the PTB. But stay tuned and we will see what comes from them.

Edited for typos. I think just because iPad dude suggested the right word it put them in for me. Oops. Smile

Which AIPAC/MIC/pharma/bank bought politician are you going to vote for? Don’t be surprised when nothing changes.

against the corrupt Trudeau government that has illegally usurped power with the complicity of a bought and paid for media just like what has happened in the US.

One of them will be using The Great Barrington Declaration along with the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. Of course gawd, will of necessity, play a roll. The preamble starts with "Whereas Canada is founded upon principles that recognize the supremacy of God and the rule of law"

Keep in mind that Canada allowed liquor stores to remain open while they shut down churches.

I posted in my latest essay. It’s on target with what you did.

The far/religious right can try to pigyback onto a public tidal wave, it's just what they do. They will even gain some power and followers that way. But their gains will be swamped by the wave. Once a wave starts it cannot be stopped, at "best" blunted (and less than it can be made to appear) Don't be discouraged, it's just a desperate attempt to blunt a wave.

I hope the natural wave spreads far and wide.

I’m finding faith now in the teachings of Thich Nhat Hanh, who died almost a week ago.

I know it’s another type of religion, but it makes more sense to me as one that is life affirming.

Thank you doh for your support.
